NEW MUSIC DROP: Young Paris featuring Jay Park - "Girls Wanna Party"

This could put Jay Park on the radio in the U.S.  On May 16, his Roc Nation labelmate, rapper Young Paris, released a track with Jay Park titled "Girls Wanna Party." The single is from the new "My Tribe" LP which is now available on Tidal.

According to an article from naijabeatzone.com, Young Paris says "The 'MY TRIBE' Album is dedicated to music lovers who vibe to the global sound of 'Afrobeats.'"

According to his online bio, Young Paris was born in France to Congolese immigrant parents who later moved to New York.

This is the second (urban radio ready) collaboration released this week, for Korean-American singer/rapper Jay Park. On May 15, Park uploaded a remix to Justine Skye's "Back For More." On Twitter, Jay Park says he has 30 to 40 unreleased songs, including the already popular "Soju," with rapper 2 Chainz, which he announced (at the recent Identity LA Free Concert), will be released sometime this month.

Golden Changes Name Back to G.Soul After Contract Ends With H1GHR MUSIC

Days after record label H1GHR MUSIC announced its contract with singer Golden had come to an end, the artist on Sunday, January 10, tweeted on Twitter he was changing his stage name back to G.Soul.   The singer Kim Ji-hyun, had been going by the moniker Golden since December 2019 . But fans first got to know the South Korean soulful artist as G.Soul, when he debuted under JYP Entertainment with the release of his EP "Coming Home" in 2015. His debut came after training under JYP for 15 years. In 2017, G.Soul left JYP and joined H1GHR MUSIC, where he released "Circles," "Hate Everything" and "Another Sad Love Song." With the departure from H1GHR MUSIC, the singer is reminding fans to support his work on his YouTube channel. South African singer-songwriter Tyla is one of the hottest rising stars of 2023. She's currently taking over social media with her TikTok viral dance challenge from her latest single- “Water.” The song hit streaming sites in July. The official music video arrived on YouTube on October 6. Hi-Lite Records founder Paloalto, has dropped the latest visual for his “Love, Money & Dreams: The Album” project. The official music video for his track "Grind" off it, hit streaming sites on November 14. Song of The Day: Villain's LIVE Video for "A Piece Of Work"

by Nefertiti Jenkins The fifth track on  Villain's first mini album is soul piercing, mesmerizing and beautiful. When you hear "A Piece Of Work" on the new "Bank Robber" EP, it will move you. The mostly hip-hop album dropped with an official music video for title track "Manitto," on August 1st with Planetarium Records. A second visual display of Villain's falsetto vocal range was uploaded days later, on August 3rd, as a live performance of "A Piece Of Work." Unlike other tracks on the album, which include lyrics in English and Korean, "A Piece Of Work" is a ballad and is almost entirely in Korean. According to translated subtitles of the Behind The Scenes video for "Bank Robber," the artist says the song is about having been in love with someone for a long time, without others (or that person) knowing. Even the scribbles on the wall are starting to fade too. I didn't erase it. The time passes by too much....

Song of the Week: DOK2 - "CULTURE"

On April 25, legendary rapper DOK2 returned with a visual for his new song "CULTURE." The music video directed by Erik White, dropped under Last King Group, with a link to the rapper's new merch line and a billboard in Los Angeles. The single follows the drop of the  collab track "Chandeliers," with Styliztik Jones back in February.  On his new song, the co-founder of the now defunct South Korean label Illionaire Records, raps "nobody handed me a silver spoon." NEW MUSIC ON THE WAY: "MUSE" - Woodie Gochild, featuring Jay Park & Sik-K

Coming off a recent hit, H1GHR MUSIC'S newest rapper, Woodie Gochild, is dropping a new track called "Muse," featuring Jay Park and Sik-K. It's slated for release on Jan. 12 at 6 PM (KST). His last collaboration with Jay Park, "Let's Get It," (also featuring Dok2)  just dropped three weeks ago, on Dec. 15, and the visuals for it has more than two million views on YouTube. Woodie Gochild was a contestant on South Korea's "Show Me The Money 6" and signed with the hip-hop label, H1GHR MUSIC in October of 2017.  Check out the music video for "Let's Get It" below, and be on the lookout for "Muse" on the 12th.

New Video Drop: Kobel's new Visual for breakup song "나는 아직도" featuring Michelle Nam

South Korean rising singer/rapper Kobel, has just dropped a new visual on YouTube. The title "나는 아직도" is in Korean, and Google translates it to "I still." The song, in Korean and English, has a slow tempo beat, as Kobel and Michelle Nam sing "say it ain't so," about breaking up and letting go. The young artist uploaded the track to SoundCloud eight months ago. The video, directed by Choi Jong Hyun and Jung Tae Whang, was shot at Soyouhwa Flower Shop & Cafe and was released on August 6th. Kobel is relatively new to the music scene. He dropped his debut music video back on June 2nd, for the track "Don't Hit My Line."   On July 27, he posted on Instagram, that he's become a member of Poison Holyc-- "a crew with all kinds of dope artists" who will be making music "in all kinds of genres." In fact, the entire mini-album seems to offer messages to decipher while he's away as a conscripted policeman.
