NEW MUSIC DROP: "Back For More" Remix - Justine Skye & Jay Park

In the middle of the afternoon (EST), on Tuesday, May 15, Jay Park true to his word, dropped a remix of Justine Skye's "Back For More." The day before, he tweeted on Twitter that if he got 3,000 retweets, then he would release the track. Well excited fans gave him more than 8,000 retweets. But still he wasn't able to drop the remix just yet. The Roc Nation artist said on Twitter that he had to get permission or get clearance to upload the collaboration, and thus the release nearly 24 hours later (check out the audio above).
The original version of "Back For More," came out in 2017, and features singer Jeremih. It's been a huge hit for the Roc Nation labelmate Justine Skye, and gets plenty of airtime on Urban radio.

Back in January, Jay Park posted on Instagram, a picture he took with the singer/model. Hopefully fans will get to hear this new collab of the two on the radio soon, because this remix, with Park's smooth vocals is hot.

Song of The Day: Lolo Zouaï - "Moi"

Sexy and seductive-- the vibe from Lolo Zouaï's track "Moi," a song where she tells her lover in French and English, that she's leaving him. The track, with an intoxicating finale, is off Zouaï's April debut album, "High Highs to Low Lows." The French-Algerian American singer/songwriter told PAPER magazine that she wrote the song after a stay and a relationship with an older man in Paris. According to a June tweet from the artist, she was born in Paris, moved to San Francisco when she was three months old, and lived there until she was 18, before moving to New York. Zouaï is now traveling the world, promoting her music. In mid-August she performed "Moi" on stage in South Korea with ALiEN Dance Studio, as backup dancers, who also dropped a choreography video in collaboration with the singer. AOMG Welcomes Sogumm to the Label after her "Signhere" win on MBN

South Korean label AOMG (founded by Jay Park), now has two female artists. AOMG welcomed Sogumm to the team on October 31, after the final episode of Signhere on MBN. The singer took home first place, on the competition show. Her total scores for her performance beating out Meloh, Maddox and MBA. Sogumm joins Hoody, and a crew of popular male artists, as the second woman signed to AOMG. Hoody became the first female artist to sign to the hip-hop and R&B record label back in 2015. Rapper Dok2 talks about working with Jay Park and G-Dragon (from BIGBANG) in Ep. 31 of "Fun With Dumb"

Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Lucky for fans, the rapper sat down on two separate occasions recently to talk about his life and the rise of hip-hop in South Korea. The first interview was for the March 7th face to face with rapper Snacky Chan for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod."   The second was for American rapper Dumbfoundead's March 20th (ep. 31) podcast of "Fun With Dumb." During the podcast, Dok2 provided a mini-history lesson for anyone interested in South Korean hip-hop. Beginning with his early rise, the rapper says he's been making moves in the industry since 2002 when he was 12-years-old. Rapper Dok2 talks about his personal life and South Korean hip-hop - in English ("Kill Bill") interview with Snacky Chan for "Undergod"

On the March 7th episode of ' Target: Billboard - Kill Bill,' legendary rapper Dok2 brought a number of notable Korean (and Korean-American) rappers out on stage with him to perform his latest song. The show ' Kill Bill'  is an MBC hip-hop survival program which aims to put a South Korean hip-hop artist on the Billboard charts with a collaboration with DJ Khaled. Artists who hit the stage with Dok2 during this episode were Snacky Chan, Changmo, Double K, Deepflow, Los, Young B, Pyunny, Keem Hyo-Eun, Junoflo and Nucksal. After the show, Dok2 and Snacky Chan went backstage to record an interview for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod." During their one on one, Dok2 compares hip-hop styles of trap and boom bap. New Music: "METROCITY" - The soulful sounds of Horim

Back with that neo-soul and jazz vibe, South Korean singer Horim dropped his first full length album, "METROCITY," on October 24. The 19-song project includes previously released tracks "Movin," (featuring Mxxg, Odee, Kim Oki & DJ Noah) and "Sug4r," featuring Paloalto from Hi-Lite Records. The album also dropped with an official music video for its lead track "Street." Horim from BANKTWOBROTHERS, has one of those soulful raspy voices that take you back in time, to when people were still grooving to Erykah Badu and D'Angelo on the radio. South African singer-songwriter Tyla is one of the hottest rising stars of 2023. She's currently taking over social media with her TikTok viral dance challenge from her latest single- “Water.” The song hit streaming sites in July. The official music video arrived on YouTube on October 6. It's currently (as of this writing) trending #26 on the site with nearly 13 million views.  According to Billboard, “Water” has also climbed to #1 on Billboard’s U.S. Afrobeats Songs Chart, dated Oct. 21-- stopping the record 58-week streak from Rema and Selena Gomez’s “Calm Down,” which had led the list since Sept. 10, 2022. “Water” marks Tyla's first top spot on any Billboard chart.  The 21-year-old Johannesburg native debuted with her first music video: "Getting Late," featuring Kooldrink in 2021. Lexie Liu - New single & MV - "Hat Trick"

20-year-old 88rising singer Lexie Liu has released a sultry single off her upcoming project. Titled "Hat Trick," the song hit streaming sites on January 24, with a mostly black and white futuristic official music video. The setting is from a planet with many moons. Liu told PAPER magazine that the track was inspired by F. Scott Fitzgerald's 1925 novel "The Great Gatsby." The Chinese singer and fourth place finisher on K-pop Star 5  (in South Korea), will drop her debut EP, "2030" on February 1st. Check out her single and music video for "Hat Trick" below.

Rapper Dok2 announces Canada and Europe "Thunderground" World Tour

The rapper announced on July 29, that he'll be hitting cities in Canada and Europe beginning Sunday, September 1st for his "Thunderground" World Tour.
