Jay Park Uploads His Epic "Sway In The Morning" Freestyle To His YouTube Channel

The way it went down left fans, and people who had never heard of him proud. On May 23, hip-hop artist Jay Park, appeared on "Sway In The Morning," a weekday morning show on Eminem's Shade 45 SiriusXM channel. Hosted by Sway (Calloway), Jay Park was there to promote his May 25 midnight (EST) release of "SOJU," featuring 2 Chainz. The track "SOJU" (inspired by a popular alcoholic beverage in South Korea) is off his upcoming album with Roc Nation. It's his first release for the label, since signing with them in 2017.

During his interview (one of several recently), Park answered questions about b-boying, kpop, BTS, cultural appropriation, tattoos and the relationship between South and North Korea. He also explained why he created his second label, H1GHR MUSIC, after creating AOMG (he says he did so for contractual reasons). And he also announced (unintentionally) that his new album (with Roc Nation), "Ask 'Bout Me," will be out on July 20.

The interview was uploaded to "Sway's Universe" YouTube channel hours after it had taken place, and includes an epic freestyle from Jay Park, spitting fire over a DJ Premier beat. On May 24, the international entertainer, Jay Park, uploaded the freestyle to his YouTube channel, which will make it easier for his fans to find. He's already gotten a huge positive response from people from around the world, for the "Sway In The Morning" appearance, and on Twitter, he has thanked fans for the "support and encouragement," with a link to the YouTube upload, saying everyone got him "feeling great." Rapper Dok2 talks about working with Jay Park and G-Dragon (from BIGBANG) in Ep. 31 of "Fun With Dumb"

Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Lucky for fans, the rapper sat down on two separate occasions recently to talk about his life and the rise of hip-hop in South Korea. The first interview was for the March 7th face to face with rapper Snacky Chan for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod." The second was for American rapper Dumbfoundead's March 20th (ep. 31) podcast of "Fun With Dumb." During the podcast, Dok2 provided a mini-history lesson for anyone interested in South Korean hip-hop. Beginning with his early rise, the rapper says he's been making moves in the industry since 2002 when he was 12-years-old. He told Dumbfoundead that he used to attend a school for foreigners in Busan (because of his mixed Korean, Spanish and Filipino heritage), but after 6th grade he moved to Seoul and did not return back to school (due to family financial reasons). New Music Drop: Anthony Danza - "The BBS Diaries" with an "At All Costs" MV

Delivering that West Coast rewind with 80s G-funk beats, Seattle rapper/producer Anthony Danza has dropped his latest project (out now on Spotify and Amazon music). The Black Umbrella/Proof Avenue artist released "The BBS Diaries" on May 26, with a visual for one of its tracks, "At All Costs," pre-released on YouTube on May 24. The video shot by Steve Arsenio and edited by photographer Harry Clean. New Music: Lil Boi - "David" with just the right Old School Feels

Mixing up the hip-hop beats with old school R&B, South Korean rapper Lil Boi returned for a two-track single release on December 7th, titled "David." Lil Boi, a member of the duo Geeks, is managed under Grandline Entertainment. His new release consist of the tracks, "Go" and "David," (featuring Kim E-Z), which the latter track begins with a piano melody on love, but then switches the beat for a bounce flow. According to the agency, "David" is a prologue to the rapper's upcoming first full-length album; "Meantime," but the track "Go" will not be on it. Many Show Me The Money fans may remember Lil Boi from season four in 2015, as a contestant with team AOMG, with Jay Park and Loco as producers/judges and Geegooin, Sik-K and David Kim as team members. Rapper Dok2 talks about his personal life and South Korean hip-hop - in English ("Kill Bill") interview with Snacky Chan for "Undergod"

On the March 7th episode of ' Target: Billboard - Kill Bill,' legendary rapper Dok2 brought a number of notable Korean (and Korean-American) rappers out on stage with him to perform his latest song. The show ' Kill Bill' is an MBC hip-hop survival program which aims to put a South Korean hip-hop artist on the Billboard charts with a collaboration with DJ Khaled. Artists who hit the stage with Dok2 during this episode were Snacky Chan, Changmo, Double K, Deepflow, Los, Young B, Pyunny, Keem Hyo-Eun, Junoflo and Nucksal. After the show, Dok2 and Snacky Chan went backstage to record an interview for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod." During their one on one, Dok2 compares hip-hop styles of trap and boom bap. Rapper Jessi and Jay Park "Drip" with Swag in New Music & MV

Rapper Jessi is back with another single under P NATION (the South Korean record label founded by Psy). This time around, Jessi has global star Jay Park on the track and visual. Jessi released their collaboration - "Drip" on November 1st, and straight out the gate, she comes out swinging with swag, and singing, that she's not "going anywhere." A hot international collaboration from across the seas. Australian singer Faydee dropped his melodic hip-hop/trap-R&B single - "Trika Trika," featuring Antonia, with an official music video on October 24. According to their online profiles, Antonia is originally from Romania and Faydee is of Lebanese descent. On Instagram, he says the word trika is Arabic for "Leave her" or "Leave it alone."
