After a dramatic open, Jay Park focuses on dance in visual for new single "Why"

Fans of Jay Park know he's a skilled dancer. He's been showcasing his moves since before his days as the leader of the K-pop group 2PM in 2008. Now after founding AOMG, H1ghr Music, MORE VISION and Won Soju, the Korean American entertainer is highlighting dance in his new visual for his new song "Why," and the dance challenges that have come from it.

After dropping teaser images, featuring retro 'Glamour Shots' photos of singer-songwriter SarahJae for more than a week, the highly anticipated single dropped on November 17, with a dramatic open for the official music video on YouTube. 

During an interview with comedian Rat Park on "MORE TALK," Jay Park said he decided to develop the Cha Cha Malone produced song after he was named the new Global Brand ambassador for Gucci. Park said he had 30 dancers on the set for the video, including We Dem Boyz, Kirsten from Jam Republic from Street Woman Fighter 2, and the AfroDance Crew.

Park, in an interview with KCAL News in Los Angeles, said the song itself was a mix of House, Jersey Club and Afro beats. Park on Instagram said he and Malone sampled their 2015 song "Solo" for the Afro beats, beat change of the new single. The lyrics of the track are an emotional rollercoaster telling the story of a relationship gone bad. As for the model in the video, SarahJae, Park said he tried to recruit her for his trainee program. Check out the visual below.

Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Crush Drops New MV ("Be By My Side") With Earth, Wind & Fire Sample

Korean R&B singer Crush, has dropped his latest music video. It's called "Be By My Side," and it samples the soul, disco and funk band Earth, Wind & Fire. According to the description under the upload on the Amoeba Culture official YouTube Channel, Crush received permission to use the "Brazilian Rhyme" sample. "내 편이 돼줘 (be by my side)" contains elements from "Brazilian Rhyme (Interlude)" written by Maurice White. Published by EMI April Music Inc. Used by permission. All rights reserved. Jay Park to Kick off First World Tour in Seoul

Hip-Hop/R&B Roc Nation artist Jay Park has announced the beginning of his first world tour. The AOMG/H1GHR MUSIC CEO's "SEXY 4EVA" World Tour kicks off in Seoul, South Korea on Saturday, July 6th at 7 p.m. and on Sunday, July 7th at 6 p.m. The title of the tour is from a track off his 2018 "Ask Bout Me" U.S. debut EP for Roc Nation. Park released the music video for the song, "Sexy 4 Eva" back on September 25th. According to AOMG, the concerts in Seoul will be held at Olympic Hall, in Olympic Park. Tickets go on sale May 17th, at 8 p.m. (KST) on the INTERPARK website. According to Park's tweet on Twitter, more dates and cities will be announced later. Jay Park Hits The Stage with Ted Park, Young Paris, Casanova & 6ix9ine During "SOJU" Release Party In New York

Fans are sharing videos from Jay Park's "SOJU" release party in New York City. The single (featuring 2 Chainz and produced by Woogie) hit online platforms around midnight (EST) on May 25th, while a crowd of supporters got 'turnt up' at SOB's in the Manhattan neighborhood of SoHo, with hip-hop artist Jay Park, performing the new single, along with some older favorites like "Mommae." Has Jay Park come full circle with upcoming AOMG Audition Program "Sign Here" on MBN?

He has shared his story hundreds of times. CEO Jay Park got his start in the music industry after auditioning in Seattle as a teen to join JYP, one of the largest entertainment companies in South Korea. According to online sources, after being accepted, Park trained in South Korea as part of a kpop group known as One Day. Part of the group's training was broadcast as a reality survival documentary show on MNET called Hot Blood . After the show, One Day was split into two separate groups-- 2AM and 2PM. Via fan votes, Park became the leader of 2PM. 2PM debuted with the song "10 Out of 10" in 2008. But by 2010, Park was officially out of the group, and back home in Seattle. British singer Jay Sean has released the official music video for his new single "With You," featuring Gucci Mane and Asian Doll. The Jamar Harding directed visual dropped on April 1st, and in it, there's a lot of booty. The video shows girls in bikinis and balaclavas riding down the road on two-wheel scooters.
