KHip-Hop Label AOMG Expands into Sports With 'Korean Zombie’ Chan Sung Jung


Something unexpected. On May 9th, Korean hip-hop label AOMG, announced a new venture. It shared on social media, that the company (with Jay Park and Simon Dominic as CEOs) has a new addition to the crew.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC)'s 'Korean Zombie' Chan Sung Jung, the first Asian fighter to contend for the UFC championship title, is now the first athlete to kick off AOMG's entrance into "Sportainment."

A video highlighting Chan Sung Jung's MMA training has been added to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. The video includes music from DJ Wegun, titled "Our Lives," featuring Jay Park and Ugly Duck. Check it out below...

Jay Sean drops visual for new single "With You" ft. Gucci Mane & Asian Doll

British singer Jay Sean has released the official music video for his new single "With You," featuring Gucci Mane and Asian Doll. The Jamar Harding directed visual dropped on April 1st, and in it, there's a lot of booty. The video shows girls in bikinis and balaclavas riding down the road on two-wheel scooters. The actual single hit streaming sites with Republic Records on March 8th, after a long break from the London artist. Check out his new MV below.

He's touched millions of hearts with his music, dance moves and public actions for more than a decade, and now mega entertainer Jay Park is starting a new chapter with a "toast to life."  On January 1, the singer/rapper turned entrepreneur dropped the official music video on his YouTube channel, for his new single-- "To Life." The song is about his hustle in the music industry and other achievements. In the visual, the long-time artist sets his AOMG ring and H1GHR MUSIC chain down on a display. The scene cementing his December 31 social media announcement of his decision to step down from his position of CEO from both of his hip-hop music labels-- AOMG and H1GHR MUSIC.  Park founded AOMG in 2013, just years after parting ways with JYP Entertainment, where he was the leader of KPOP group 2PM. Another hot song from South Korea. The latest, six all-star singers on a melodic hip-hop track titled "AUTOMATIC." The single features CHANCELLOR, BABYLON, TWLV, MOON, BIBI and JISELLE. New Music: South Korean R&B singer MELOH returns with Self-titled EP

Fans have been watching for South Korean singer MELOH ever since he hit the stage for AOMG's Signhere  audition TV show program in 2019 on MBN. While he didn't finish first, he did make it to the finals with his smooth vocals.  Fast forward to 2021, and MELOH is back with his first EP, titled "MELOH," and signed to the new hip-hop label-- Daytona Entertainment, founded by The Quiett and Yumdda. MELOH's new self-titled R&B mini-album hit streaming sites on January 2. B Young drops hot visual for new song "OCEAN" ft. BNXN

London artist B Young has returned with a hot new single. The rapper/singer dropped his new song "OCEAN" featuring Nigerian singer BNXN, with an official music video on June 30.  The visual includes beautiful scenes on a beach with a beautiful model. The song produced by AymixBeats is B Young's first release since his 2021 debut album "Differences."

Perhaps one of the best known hip-hop and R&B crews in South Korea, members of FANXY CHILD have teamed up once again to drop a new single and visual titled "Y." The track hit streaming sites on August 9th featuring ZICO, CRUSH, DEAN, PENOMECO and producers MILLIC and STAYTUNED. Previously we've seen them collaborate on such hits and music videos like Millic's "Paradise" and Zico's "Fanxy Child" and "Bermuda Triangle." FANXY CHILD will hold their first concert as a crew on August 10 and 11. Check out their new music below.

Bruno Mars shares Behind the Scenes clip from the Making of "24K Magic"

Bruno Mars has shared a never before seen clip of the making of "24K Magic," the title track and lead single from his third studio album (of the same name). On June 27, the singer uploaded video on Twitter and Instagram, and wrote that he found it in his cell phone.  The video shows producer Brody Brown and Mars trying to figure out the groove for "24k Magic" in 2015. According to Bruno Mars, they tried nearly 100 different patterns and pockets to finally land what we hear today (a Zapp & Roger inspired track). A "Cold" Feature on the way for rapper Hanhae, even after dropping his "About Time" EP & "Flashback" MV and enlisting in the South Korean Military

Before leaving for the South Korean military on February 7, and posting the picture above to Instagram, South Korean rapper Hanhae, finished working on his latest EP titled "About Time." It dropped one day after he left to serve his country as a conscripted policeman. The BRANDNEW MUSIC artist (and former Show Me The Money contestant) included six songs of fast and smooth flow on his mini-album. A standout on the EP, is the melodic "About Time" title track, featuring the buttery vocals of BADMINTON. An official music video for the track 'Flashback' also dropped with the EP. It features concert clips and behind the scenes footage. Lucky for fans, there is still more to come from the former Phantom member and “Amazing Saturday” variety show cast member. Rapper Dok2 talks about working with Jay Park and G-Dragon (from BIGBANG) in Ep. 31 of "Fun With Dumb"

Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Lucky for fans, the rapper sat down on two separate occasions recently to talk about his life and the rise of hip-hop in South Korea. The first interview was for the March 7th face to face with rapper Snacky Chan for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod."   The second was for American rapper Dumbfoundead's March 20th (ep. 31) podcast of "Fun With Dumb." During the podcast, Dok2 provided a mini-history lesson for anyone interested in South Korean hip-hop. Beginning with his early rise, the rapper says he's been making moves in the industry since 2002 when he was 12-years-old. He told Dumbfoundead that he used to attend a school for foreigners in Busan (because of his mixed Korean, Spanish and Filipino heritage), but after 6th grade he moved to Seoul and did not return back to school (due to family financial reasons).
