KHip-Hop Label AOMG Expands into Sports With 'Korean Zombie’ Chan Sung Jung


Something unexpected. On May 9th, Korean hip-hop label AOMG, announced a new venture. It shared on social media, that the company (with Jay Park and Simon Dominic as CEOs) has a new addition to the crew.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC)'s 'Korean Zombie' Chan Sung Jung, the first Asian fighter to contend for the UFC championship title, is now the first athlete to kick off AOMG's entrance into "Sportainment."

A video highlighting Chan Sung Jung's MMA training has been added to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. The video includes music from DJ Wegun, titled "Our Lives," featuring Jay Park and Ugly Duck. Check it out below...

NEW MUSIC DROP: Young Paris featuring Jay Park - "Girls Wanna Party"

The single is from the new "My Tribe" LP which is now available on Tidal . According to an article from naijabeatzone.com , Young Paris says "The 'MY TRIBE' Album is dedicated to music lovers who vibe to the global sound of 'Afrobeats.'" Rapper Dok2 talks about working with Jay Park and G-Dragon (from BIGBANG) in Ep. 31 of "Fun With Dumb"

Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Lucky for fans, the rapper sat down on two separate occasions recently to talk about his life and the rise of hip-hop in South Korea. The first interview was for the March 7th face to face with rapper Snacky Chan for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod."   The second was for American rapper Dumbfoundead's March 20th (ep. 31) podcast of "Fun With Dumb." During the podcast, Dok2 provided a mini-history lesson for anyone interested in South Korean hip-hop. Beginning with his early rise, the rapper says he's been making moves in the industry since 2002 when he was 12-years-old. NEW MUSIC & MV: INNA x Vinka - "Bebe"

An eccentric collaboration between Romanian singer INNA, and Vinka from Uganda. The two released their colorful official music video with moves from a subway train, for their song "Bebe" on November 4th. Inna is known for her 2008 breakout hit "Hot." Vinka, an artist under record label - Swangz Avenue, has been moving up in the music scene in Africa and making moves in Europe. Check out their new collaboration "Bebe" below.

Perhaps one of the best known hip-hop and R&B crews in South Korea, members of FANXY CHILD have teamed up once again to drop a new single and visual titled "Y." The track hit streaming sites on August 9th featuring ZICO, CRUSH, DEAN, PENOMECO and producers MILLIC and STAYTUNED. Previously we've seen them collaborate on such hits and music videos like Millic's "Paradise" and Zico's "Fanxy Child" and "Bermuda Triangle." Jay Park Announces new H1GHR MUSIC Artist - Seo Donghyun a.k.a. Big Naughty

During the second and final day of his 2019  Off Route Fest in South Korea, co-CEO/entertainer Jay Park announced the newest member of his second label- H1GHR MUSIC, as rapper/singer Seo Donghyun a.k.a. Big Naughty. Park introduced the young artist on stage, on Oct. 6, in front of a crowd of thousands of people at the music festival, and later posted video of the moment to Instagram. According to Park, Donghyun is now the youngest member of the label (previously that title went to rapper Haon). Big Naughty was a contestant on season eight of the popular South Korean rap competition program - Show Me The Money (SMTM). He was eliminated in the semi-finals. B Young drops hot visual for new song "OCEAN" ft. BNXN

London artist B Young has returned with a hot new single. The rapper/singer dropped his new song "OCEAN" featuring Nigerian singer BNXN, with an official music video on June 30.  The visual includes beautiful scenes on a beach with a beautiful model. The song produced by AymixBeats is B Young's first release since his 2021 debut album "Differences."

R&B singer SOMA not holding back in new MV "Betty," off her first full-length album "SEIREN"

With explicit lyrics you normally don't hear from South Korean female artists, singer-songwriter SOMA shared her alt-R&B sultry track "Betty," with the release of an official music video for it on YouTube on March 2nd (EST). The song, in English and Korean, is off her first full-length album "SEIREN." Part A of the album dropped on streaming sites on March 3rd (KST). Part B releases on March 14. The new music is in celebration of SOMA's second anniversary of her debut EP "Somablu" with label Stoneship.

MKIT RAIN's BLOO and Nafla Not Ready to Grow Up in New Single and Visual - "Nae tat"

Rapping that they've already "achieved everything," so there's no point in growing up, MKIT RAIN's BLOO and Nafla have teamed up for a joint single titled "Nae tat." The track, produced by Big Banana, dropped on September 10 with an official music video.  In the visual, the two play a couple of rebellious young men, not ready for responsibilities, who rap in Korean about alcohol and girls. New Music On The Way: AOMG - Jay Park, Simon Dominic, Gray and Loco

A surprise announcement from hip-hop label AOMG.  On Saturday, April 14, the label (based in Korea) shared a post on Instagram with a silhouette image of four guys in a dark place that read "Here we got Jay Park, Simon Dominic, Gray and Loco shooting a music video. Please stay tuned for collaboration work from our artists." There were two pictures. One upright, and the other upside down.  To add to the AOMG announcement, rapper Loco posted on Instagram, an upside down picture of himself from a set with a caption that says Tuesday, May 1st. Producer/Singer/Rapper Gray has also posted a picture from a set on his Instagram that also reads Tuesday, May 1st. Based on a tweet from the fanbase Jay Park Network on Twitter,  the collaboration could be called "Turn It Over/Upside Down." Many fans excited about the news are calling the upcoming release a comeback for the OGs of AOMG. The label was founded by Jay Park in 2013. The name comes from Jay Park's...
