KHip-Hop Label AOMG Expands into Sports With 'Korean Zombie’ Chan Sung Jung


Something unexpected. On May 9th, Korean hip-hop label AOMG, announced a new venture. It shared on social media, that the company (with Jay Park and Simon Dominic as CEOs) has a new addition to the crew.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC)'s 'Korean Zombie' Chan Sung Jung, the first Asian fighter to contend for the UFC championship title, is now the first athlete to kick off AOMG's entrance into "Sportainment."

A video highlighting Chan Sung Jung's MMA training has been added to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. The video includes music from DJ Wegun, titled "Our Lives," featuring Jay Park and Ugly Duck. Check it out below...

A lot of big names in the music industry were there, including the founder of Roc Nation, Jay-Z, and his beautiful wife Beyoncé. Also there, as part of the Roc Nation label, was musician Jay Park, and the co-CEO of one of his labels (H1GHR MUSIC), Cha Cha Malone. Fans of the four got to share in the moment, with pictures that were uploaded on social media. Jay Park posted photos on Instagram of his meeting with Beyoncé and Jay-Z. While Beyoncé shared pictures that she took with her husband. Mural of Rapper Dumbfoundead Vandalized

The iconic mural of rapper Dumbfoundead painted on the side of Catalina Liquor in Koreatown in Los Angeles, has been vandalized-- that's according to a social media post from the artist. A picture of the vandalism, shows letters spray painted across it. On July 16th, Dumbfoundead thanked painter Joseph Yun Lee and Catalina Liquor on Instagram for "wanting to keep the mural up as long as they did."  The mural was originally painted for the rapper's 2016 music video "Murals," a visual off his "We Might Die" album. Last year, he tweeted that he was getting a least one tagged photo a day from fans who had taken a picture in front of it. Dumbfoundead is now asking fans to send pictures or videos they had taken in front of the mural to muralsforever@gmail.com or tag him, so he can use the images in a video. H1GHR MUSIC Tour - The Cities for the U.S. Concert Stops - Tickets On Sale March 17

Fans have been looking for this since October of 2017 , when the hip-hop label H1GHR MUSIC, first announced that they were going to have a 2018 North America Tour.  Thousands of people have been waiting patiently to hear more details about the concert stops for CEOs Jay Park and Cha Cha Malone and their H1GHR MUSIC artists. And after months of teasing, on March 3, Siva Group Entertainment reassured fans, by releasing the names of the cities for the much anticipated locations. Siva Group has worked with Jay Park before. CONCERT WATCH: Flowsik in Europe This Summer

After back to back collaborations with rapper/singer Jessi, Korean-American rapper Flowsik is hitting the road, and going on a mini-tour in Europe. The tour is presented by the kpop party crew, Young Bros, and kicks off June 1st in Amsterdam. Meanwhile his two releases with Korean-American star Jessi, are doing well. The feel good song "All I Need," dropped on March 31, and Flowsik and Jessi have promoted the track on Korean music shows. The second release, "Wet," dropped on April 4, and the sexy visual for it, has more than a million views on YouTube. A lot of people were first introduced to (Jay Pak) Flowsik with the release of the melodic quick flow of the "The Calling," and then with his part on "EUNG FREESTYLE," the viral rap track, he collaborated on with other heavy hitters such as LIVE, Sik-K, Punchnello and Owen Ovadoz. Rapper Dok2 talks about working with Jay Park and G-Dragon (from BIGBANG) in Ep. 31 of "Fun With Dumb"

Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Lucky for fans, the rapper sat down on two separate occasions recently to talk about his life and the rise of hip-hop in South Korea. The first interview was for the March 7th face to face with rapper Snacky Chan for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod."   The second was for American rapper Dumbfoundead's March 20th (ep. 31) podcast of "Fun With Dumb." During the podcast, Dok2 provided a mini-history lesson for anyone interested in South Korean hip-hop. Beginning with his early rise, the rapper says he's been making moves in the industry since 2002 when he was 12-years-old. NEW VIDEO DROP: Colde - "Your Dog Loves You" featuring Crush

This one is for the dog lovers. Korean alternative soul singer, Colde, from offonoff, has released the music video for his first solo single "Your Dog Loves You," featuring R&B artist Crush. The actual track was released back on March 28. The song is about Colde's dog, Samna, from the dog's perspective. The track has a nice melody, and the visual will melt your heart. It includes images of not only Colde's dog, but other dogs (of different breeds) as well. The mv was uploaded just hours after Mnet uploaded Colde's and Crush's beautiful performance (on April 27) of the song, on the music battle show "Breakers," where Colde is competing. South Korean Hip-Hop label Hi-Lite Records Celebrates 10th Anniversary with Compilation Album “Legacy”

It's been ten years since South Korean rapper Paloalto founded hip-hop label Hi-Lite Records. During the decade of its rise, the label signed a number of talented popular rappers who have come and gone. Former artists include Keith Ape, B-Free, Okasian, Evo, GLV and G2.  Current artists with Hi-Lite include Reddy, YunB, Swervy, Pinodyne (Huckleberry P & Soul Fish) and others. In 2015, a partnership with entertainment company CJ E&M was announced to help with global marketing.  Now, to celebrate ten years of going strong, the label has released its tenth anniversary compilation album titled “Legacy.” The project dropped on streaming sites on August 16, with an official music video for the pop-rock track "Kid Rock," featuring Paloalto, jerd, Reddy and Soovi.   The song is a departure from what fans are used to, and it's even a departure from most of the other songs on the new album.
