NEW MUSIC DROP: Getting "Plugged In" with new EP from Ted Park


Looking for something new to jam to? Check out Ted Park's debut album, "Plugged In." The H1GHR MUSIC hip-hop artist dropped his new EP on May 2nd, and it includes features with some of our favorite khip-hop artists like Reddy, G2, Penomeco, Bill Stax and of course Ted Park's boss (Co-CEO of H1GHR MUSIC) Jay Park.

On Instagram, his other boss, co-CEO Cha Cha Malone, calls Ted Park the "melody guru," and we hear how the title fits, listening to the melodic tunes of each track on "Plugged In."

Fans previously had a taste of the hot sound of the album, with the recent release of the music videos for two of its tracks, "Hands In The Air," featuring Jay Park, on April 26 and "Broke,' (featuring G2) on April 16th. Both visuals were directed by The Cut. Other artists on the album include Saho for "Go Now,"  and American rapper Dumbfoundead featured on "Corny."

Fans still have questions about ECÂF after the release of Ruel's new single & MV - "Face To Face"

(Updated September 10) - Ruel has dropped the Behind The Scenes video for "Face To Face." On Sept. 10, he revealed that the actress portraying ECÂF in the music video and on Twitter, is named Tatiana. NEW MUSIC & MV: Samm Henshaw - "Doubt" ft. Wretch 32

Drawing from his church upbringing (his father was a pastor), London singer Samm Henshaw, has released a gospel chorus influenced track titled "Doubt," featuring Wretch 32. The single hit streaming sites with an official music video uploaded to YouTube on October 4. It includes cartoon animated versions of Henshaw and Wretch 32, delivering soulful epiphanic lyrics... But it ain’t too hard to touch, and it ain’t that deep to fall. "Doubt" follows the August 6 release of "Broke."   Check out the new music above and below.

Vietnamese Rapper Suboi - Drops MV for Summer Anthem "N-SAO?"

Suboi is now known as Vietnam's queen of hip-hop, after becoming the first successful female Vietnamese rapper in her country. On August 2nd, she released the official music video on the 88rising YouTube channel, for her latest track, "N-SAO?"  On it, the 28-year-old artist spits bars over a club beat. Suboi has been making music since 2007. Her last EP, "2.7," dropped in October of 2017.  In 2016, she freestyled for former U.S. President Barack Obama during his visit to Vietnam. Her new song, in Vietnamese (with English subtitles on the visual), is a summer anthem about empowerment.  Check out the music video down below.

Rapper Shotta Spence Shares his Mother's Story

Shotta Spence, the 21-year-old up and coming rapper from New Jersey, shared part of his mother's journey from Vietnam, on Instagram, on Monday, September 4, as he wished her a Happy Birthday, and thanked her for supporting him as an artist. In his post, Shotta Spence (Spence Lee) wrote that when his mother was a little girl in Vietnam,  "the communist North had taken everything from her family. During the war, her parents and siblings had to escape further south in a TANK. The South Vietnamese and the Americans were losing the war, and she got separated from her family in the chaos. U.S. soldiers evacuated her via "Operation Babylift" ... on the LAST flight out." Jay Park drops a Demo on SoundCloud and it's a Slow Jam

An unexpected slow jam from Jay Park. The singer/rapper uploaded a track titled "2016 Demo," on SoundCloud on June 21. The song, produced by Woogie from H1GHR MUSIC, has that 90s R&B vibe, as Park sings about the mistakes he made with a former love. You can listen to it below. Jay Park is the co-CEO of two labels (AOMG & H1GHR MUSIC), and he is also signed to Roc Nation. He dropped his debut single under Roc Nation, "Soju," (feat. 2 Chainz) on May 25. Song of the Day: Yayoi Daimon - 「ヒールで仁王立ち」 ("Heel de Nioudachi")

On Instagram, Yayoi Daimon describes herself as a Japanese feminist. The rapper/singer-songwriter/DJ released her single「ヒールで仁王立ち」("Heel de Nioudachi") back on August 8th of last year. She dropped her fierce official music video for it, on September 12th. With a quick flow, and strong bass-- the lyrics, all in Japanese- focus on female empowerment; fiercely interpreted in the visual. New Music: Lil Boi - "David" with just the right Old School Feels

Mixing up the hip-hop beats with old school R&B, South Korean rapper Lil Boi returned for a two-track single release on December 7th, titled "David." Lil Boi, a member of the duo Geeks, is managed under Grandline Entertainment. His new release consist of the tracks, "Go" and "David," (featuring Kim E-Z), which the latter track begins with a piano melody on love, but then switches the beat for a bounce flow. According to the agency, "David" is a prologue to the rapper's upcoming first full-length album; "Meantime," but the track "Go" will not be on it. Many Show Me The Money fans may remember Lil Boi from season four in 2015, as a contestant with team AOMG, with Jay Park and Loco as producers/judges and Geegooin, Sik-K and David Kim as team members. Not taking themselves too seriously, MKIT RAIN's Nafla and H1GHR MUSIC's pH-1, team up for a fun melodic track, with a catchy beat titled "115." The PEEJAY produced single, with lyrics mostly in Korean, hit streaming sites on August 13. The song's theme of escapism vibes well with today's new reality. CONCERT WATCH: ZION.T - U.S. & Canada Tour

South Korean R&B singer Zion.T is bringing his smooth style to the U.S. and Canada this March. The artist will hit the stage in New York, Dallas, San Jose, Los Angeles, Toronto, and Vancouver.  The tour kicks off on March 16 with KPOPME. Ticket information available at   ZIONT.KPOPME.COM. Fans have seen Zion.T perform in North America before, including at KCON, and the Show Me The Money 5 tour.
