NEW VIDEO DROP: Hoody - "Why" featuring George

AOMG's Hoody has dropped the visual for her new song "Why," off her new two track single album "Golden."  The album was released on April 27 on iTunes/Apple Music . The title song "Golden," and the visual for it, features Jay Park. "Why" is a mellow R&B track, and features singer George. Both songs are produced by Slom. The music video for "Why" was released on April 30. It shows Hoody alone in an airport, and flying off to Honolulu, Hawaii, where she sings about the heartbreak of a lost love. NEW VIDEO DROP: Colde - "Your Dog Loves You" featuring Crush

This one is for the dog lovers. Korean alternative soul singer, Colde, from offonoff, has released the music video for his first solo single "Your Dog Loves You," featuring R&B artist Crush. The actual track was released back on March 28. The song is about Colde's dog, Samna, from the dog's perspective. The track has a nice melody, and the visual will melt your heart. It includes images of not only Colde's dog, but other dogs (of different breeds) as well. The mv was uploaded just hours after Mnet uploaded Colde's and Crush's beautiful performance (on April 27) of the song, on the music battle show "Breakers," where Colde is competing. CONCERT WATCH: BTS - Tickets on Sale in May for "Love Yourself" World Tour in North America

Powerhouse Live has announced the dates for ticket sales for the BTS "Love Yourself" World Tour. As we reported previously , the kpop boy group will begin their world tour in August in Seoul, South Korea. It will hit the United States on September 5, for the beginning of the North American leg of the tour, for 13 shows in six cities. According to tour management company Powerhouse Live , tickets will go on sale May 5th, for Los Angeles, Fort Worth, and Newark. And on May 7th, for Oakland, Chicago, and Hamilton. CONCERT WATCH: BTS World Tour - "Love Yourself "

Fans in love with BTS will get to see the kpop group live in concert in 2018. Big Hit Entertainment, the company for the South Korean boy band, announced on April 26, that the seven member group will be kicking off a "Love Yourself" World Tour on August 25th in Seoul. BTS will then perform in Los Angeles, CA on September 5, 6 & 8,  followed by stops in Oakland, CA, Fort Worth, TX, Hamilton, Ontario, Newark, NJ, Chicago, IL, London, England, Amsterdam (The Netherlands), Berlin, Germany, and Paris, France. A video teaser for the tour has been uploaded on the Big Hit YouTube channel , and more dates are expected to be announced.  Powerhouse Live, a tour management company, has posted on social media that ticket information for the BTS World Tour will be released on April 27, at 7 a.m. (PDT). NEW VIDEO DROP: Ted Park - "Hands In The Air" featuring Jay Park

The official music video for Ted Park's "Hands In The Air," featuring Jay Park is now out. The video was released on April 26, on the YouTube channel for The Cut. It's colorful, and has the H1GHR MUSIC artist singing and dancing throughout to melodic hip-hop/R&B beats, and later in the video shows label co-CEO Jay Park, singing on his verse, about a good time with a lady, which includes a bottle of soju. The song itself is the first collaboration for Ted Park and Jay Park. Ted Park says "Hands In The Air" is the second single off his upcoming debut EP, "Plugged In." The first single off the album is called "Broke." It was released on April 16. According to The Cut studio, which directed the music video, "Hands In The Air" is "anticipated to be the summer anthem of 2018." It was produced by DJ Pain 1 and DJ Stacktrace. She's the queen of AOMG, and the songstress has a new collaboration with her boss.  Singer Hoody is releasing a new track called "Golden," featuring AOMG co-CEO Jay Park. A music video teaser for it was uploaded on the AOMG YouTube channel on April 25. Produced by Slom and directed by Yungtada, the teaser shows images of the two artists having a good time with friends. Hoody's "Golden" with Jay Park, is the title song for a two track single album. BTS To Perform at Billboard Music Awards

Back on American television. Kpop group BTS announced on April 24, that it will be performing at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards. The show is May 20th on NBC. The group has been nominated for the Top Social Artist award. Last year BTS won the title, and attended the show. This year, according to Billboard, the members will perform with a world television premiere of a new single. Two days before, according to BTS, the members will release their new full album "Love Yourself: Tear" on May 18. Last year in November, BTS debuted on American television for a performance at the American Music Awards. The seven-member boy group also was on the "The Ellen Show," "Jimmy Kimmel Live," and "The Late Late Show with James Corden." CONCERT WATCH: Dok2 & The Quiett In Australia This Summer

Australia are you ready for some khip-hop? According to KPOPME Entertainment, rappers Dok2 and The Quiett from Illionaire Records will be on tour in Australia this summer. Hip-Hop Artist Kris Wu Signs Deal With Universal Music Group

From kpop to global hip-hop. Former EXO member and actor, Kris Wu, has just signed a global record deal with Universal Music Group. According to UMG, under the agreement, future music will be released internationally, excluding Japan and Korea, through a partnership with Interscope Geffen A&M in the U.S., Island Records in the U.K. and Universal Music China, as well as UMG's operations in more than 60 countries. The 27-year-old was born in China, raised in Vancouver (Canada), and got his start in the entertainment world in South Korea, as part of the Korean-Chinese kpop group EXO, and its subgroup EXO-M under S.M. Entertainment. His style is melodic rap, and according to UMG, Kris is the only Chinese artist to reach No. 1 on the U.S. iTunes chart, with the release of the single "Deserve," featuring Travis Scott. Will Smith has had another round of Latin dance lessons, this time with singer Nicky Jam down in Cartagena, Colombia. The actor, who is in Cartagena shooting a movie, shared a post on Instagram on April 23, showing what went down at a restaurant, during dinner with his son Jaden Smith. This is Will Smith's second time, sharing lessons with his followers. Back in March, Will posted his Salsa lesson with Marc Anthony from a yacht .  And it appears that Will Smith is a big fan of Nicky Jam. NEW MUSIC DROP: Jackson Wang Gives Fans another hit with "Dawn Of Us" MV

This is his third solo single, and Jackson Wang, the rapper from kpop group GOT7, is giving fans all the feels with it. His new release includes a music video (dropped on April 19 or 20 (KST)), and is called "Dawn Of Us." For the visual, Jackson is giving us singing with melodic rap, in a beautiful island tropical paradise setting, with scenes from a yacht out in the open waters. The women are especially pretty in the mv, which includes a model with natural curly hair, who has someone rub fingers through it (a lot of curly girls hate it when people do that). Most of the track is in English, and was written by Jackson, and composed and arranged by Jackson and BOYTOY.  Expect millions of views from this. Jackson Wang's first solo track, "Papillon," came out seven months ago, and now has more than 18 million views. His second, "Okay," was released on November 29, 2017 and has more than 14 million views.

by Nefertiti Jenkins Korean R&B singer June, from Planetarium Records, released a music video for his new song "Sérénade" on April 17, and his smooth and sweet vocals on the visual will melt your heart. The video opens at a gas station with June in a dune buggy with a California license plate, and then transitions to shots of June singing from a basketball court. The song is the title track from his two track release called "Sérénade" which dropped on April 18. The second single is called "The Moment." You can find both on Apple Music and iTunes. June is a former trainee under the kpop label BigHit Entertainment and composer of several songs of BTS. South Korean rapper/singer Yoon Mi Rae, from Feel Ghood Music, has dropped a twenty-second video teaser for her new track "Kawi Bawi Bo." Beyoncé's Coachella Performance and Tribute to Black College Culture

by Nefertiti Jenkins Many filmmakers have tried to recreate the Black College Experience for the big screen, but few have done it successfully (with the exception of Spike Lee's "School Daze" (1988) and the 2002 hit "Drumline"). So this part of being Black is not widely understood or known. The Black college experience is a huge part of African-American culture, which was on full display during singer Beyoncé's historic and epic performance at the 2018 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, CA. Beyoncé is the first black woman to headline Coachella, and on Instagram, Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles Lawson, confesses that she had doubts about what was planned for the Coachella crowd. Colde from offonoff has dropped a cover of the hit song "DNA" from kpop group BTS. The cover has a different vibe from the upbeat electronic original dance version. Colde's take of "DNA" is more laid back, smooth and easy listening R&B. The cover was uploaded April 16, on a new YouTube channel under the name WAVY. Check it out below. New Music On The Way: Sik-K from H1GHR MUSIC collaboration with Whee In (from Mamamoo) "EASY" teaser

Trap rapper Sik-K, from H1GHR MUSIC has a collaboration on the way with Whee In, the lead vocalist from South Korean girl group Mamamoo. The new material is dropping soon. On Sunday, April 15, the "YeLowS Gang" artist shared a teaser of the music video which is called "Easy." New Music On The Way: AOMG - Jay Park, Simon Dominic, Gray and Loco

A surprise announcement from hip-hop label AOMG.  On Saturday, April 14, the label (based in Korea) shared a post on Instagram with a silhouette image of four guys in a dark place that read "Here we got Jay Park, Simon Dominic, Gray and Loco shooting a music video. Please stay tuned for collaboration work from our artists." There were two pictures. One upright, and the other upside down.  To add to the AOMG announcement, rapper Loco posted on Instagram, an upside down picture of himself from a set with a caption that says Tuesday, May 1st. Producer/Singer/Rapper Gray has also posted a picture from a set on his Instagram that also reads Tuesday, May 1st. Based on a tweet from the fanbase Jay Park Network on Twitter,  the collaboration could be called "Turn It Over/Upside Down." NEW VIDEO DROP: KHip-Hop Legend Drunken Tiger Gets A Thumbs Up for New MV "YET" From Kpop Mega Stars BTS

Honoring Those That Have Paved The Way. On April 13, Korean hip-hop icon, Tiger JK, dropped the visuals for the pre-release track, "Yet," for Drunken Tiger's tenth and final album. The music video uploaded on YouTube, was near 20,000 views, when the idols from kpop boy group, BTS, retweeted Tiger JK's tweet on Twitter, of a link to the video. The BTS retweet included two thumbs up emojis and a dizzy face emoji. The retweet propelled the "Yet" mv to nearly 100,000 views less than 30 minutes later. BTS is fairly new to the music scene, relative to Tiger JK's longevity.  The seven members have a huge and heavy influence on young music fans around the world. Young, talented and making moves. H1GHR MUSIC's newest signee Ted Park, is releasing new music soon. He's currently on tour with Los Angeles hip-hop artist Dumbfoundead , and soon will be joining his new label mates for a H1GHR MUSIC spring tour , kicking off on April 26th in Chicago. In the middle of all that, the rapper from Wisconsin has found time to work on new material. On social media, Ted Park says he's releasing new music on Monday, April 16 with The Cut studio. Kpop with a Spanish twist, is the theme of the season for spring 2018. For their comeback, on April 12, veteran kpop group Super Junior from Korea, dropped a new music video titled "Lo Siento." Super Junior formed in 2005 as part of S.M. Entertainment. "Lo Siento" is part of the visuals for their 8th repackaged album "REPLAY."  The song features Latin-pop American singer and songwriter Leslie Grace, and the video is hot with Spanish, Korean and English lyrics in this Latin-pop dance track.
