Now Listening To: TOBi - "Hoodwinked"

Ahead of his forthcoming project, Nigerian-born-Canadian rapper--TOBi dropped his new single "Hoodwinked" with a visualizer on December 1. It jumps with storytelling of childhood issues. TOBi on social media saying it was "a cathartic piece to create." The song follows the release of tracks--- "She Loves Me" and "Flowers".  The musician says the full-length album is dropping in 2023. ASH ISLAND is giving his "Everything" in new single

Ambition Musik's ASH ISLAND dropped his new song "Everything" on November 8. The single, a passionate love song about what he's willing to give. The South Korean artist teamed up with Dingo FreeStyle for a DF LIVE X performance visual for the track. Check it out below. 

Russ comes to terms with the end of a relationship in new song - "Last Night"

In his new song "Last Night," artist Russ croons about the final moments of a lost love. The track dropped on September 23 with emotional lyrics: "I didn't know that last night was our last night together, did you? / I didn't know today was the day I was gonna say goodbye to you / Do you know that I love you, know that I want you to stay? / I didn't know today was the day I was gonna say goodbye to you." "When you were layin on my chest I didn't know (did you, did you?) / When that screen went black and credits rolled (did you, did you?) / Did you know, the sun was on its way? / Did you know? / I wish you told me (I wish you told me)." On social media, Russ posted that his therapist had tasked him with the exercise of writing a lyric that summarizes the grief that he had been processing, and "Last Night" was the end result. A must see in the Southeast: Lexington's Roots and Heritage Festival returns after a two-year hiatus

From delicious foods and marching bands, to an appearance from members of the University of Kentucky women's basketball team, the City of Lexington, KY saw the return of its annual Roots and Heritage Festival the weekend of September 9th-11th.  The festival was voted as one of the "Top Twenty Events in the Southeast" by the Southeast Tourism Society, according to organizers, and it's been going strong for more than 30 years. The event had been put on hold for two years because of the coronavirus pandemic. The festival this year, included nightly live music performances, its iconic Saturday parade and plenty of food and clothing vendors. The annual event celebrates Lexington's rich diversity, traditions, African-American culture and community spirit.  The festival also showcases the rich talent from Louisville's Central High School Marching band, which has been making a parade appearance for years. Louisville is about an hour and half's drive from Lexington

Now On Repeat: BNXN- "Bad Since '97," SMMT - "I’ll Be Fine," featuring JAY B and MAMAMOO+ "Better" featuring BIG Naughty

There are several new songs currently on repeat with INLet'sGo! The new music we can't get enough of includes the new single "Better," from the first sub-unit from South Korean girl group MAMAMOO-- MAMAMOO+ (plus)-- with members SOLAR and Moon Byul. Their new song and official music video featuring BIG Naughty, hit streaming sites on August 30 with laid-back smooth vibes about the appreciation of time spent with a close friend. The track puts a smile on faces every time it's played.   The second song currently on repeat is South Korean producer/DJ SMMT's R&B song-- "I’ll Be Fine," featuring GOT7's JAY B. Back with his second EP, South Korean artist Khakii dropped his latest project- "TIDE," on August 20th under the label - WAVY.   The 7-track mini-album delivers a smooth vibe with features from Tiger JK, Moon Sujin and (WAVY label founder) Colde. New R&B: JIWOO - "Evergray"

Singer JIWOO is mesmerizing with chilling whispers in the title track off his new album--"Evergray." The South Korean artist signed under WAVY, dropped his 5-track R&B EP project on August 12 with a luring visual. Check it out below.

Tiger JK's music video for new single "POV" includes Yoon Mi-rae's song "Peach"

South Korean legendary rapper Tiger JK includes his wife Yoon Mi-rae's song "Peach" as part of an intermission during his cinematic-video for his new single "POV," which hit streaming sites and YouTube on August 9th. "Peach" is off Yoon Mi-rae (a.k.a. Tasha)'s 2018 album-- "Gemini 2." Tiger JK includes the song in his "POV" visual around half-way in, with a pole dancer. But before and after the break in the video, the rapper is an action star on the run.  Of the song "POV" itself, Tiger JK tweeted on the day of its release; " The first time I made love with soul music. This is a song about the morning after ." Days before the drop, the rapper tweeted: " Hello , what’s your pov? " Check out the new single and visual below. The first time I made love with soul music. H1GHR MUSIC artist pH-1 returns with new single- "MR. BAD" feat. Woo

Weeks after deleting his posts on Instagram, H1GHR MUSIC artist pH-1 has returned with a new single-- "MR. BAD," featuring AOMG rapper Woo. The song hit streaming sites on August 9th with an official music video on YouTube.  The single follows the July 27th release of the collaboration song "BRB" ("Be Right Back") with his H1GHR MUSIC labelmates. That single and official music video for it, contributed to questions about the status of the label from fans on social media, which originally began with the July 25th announcement on Twitter, of the departure of labelmates Sik-K and JAY B due to the expiration of their contracts.  Since then, pH-1 returned to Instagram on August 4th to promote his new song. DAVII Drops Eclectic New Album - "GENEZIS3"

South Korean musician DAVII dropped his fourth mini-album "GENEZIS3" on August 3rd. The project includes an eclectic infusion of jazz and hip-hop.  The six-track EP hit streaming sites with an official music video for the song "Flying" showing DAVII on keys with smooth vocals. The track also features H1GHR MUSIC artist BIG Naughty.  Other artists lending an assist include Owen, Holland, Q the Trumpet and Jang Jisou. Check it out below.

H1GHR MUSIC fans have more questions after label drops compilation single - "BRB"

H1GHR MUSIC returned with a new compilation single and visual on July 27. The title for the new song-- "BRB," is an acronym for "Be Right Back." The track produced by GroovyRoom and Cha Cha Malone, includes arstists HAON, Sik-K, TRADE L, BIG Naughty, pH-1, PARK HYEON JIN, JAY B and Jay Park.  The song includes the lyrics: "We'll meet again after looking around" and "H1GHR gang, no label, issa la familia." Fans are commenting under the official music video for the song, saying the lyrics are sad and appear to suggest an ending or hiatus.  The new release comes just days after rapper pH-1 deleted his posts on Instagram and after H1GHR MUSIC announced the departures of rapper Sik-K and GOT7 singer JAY B, after the expiration of their contracts. Sik-K had been with the label since its founding, while JAY B had been with H1GHR for just a year.  The South Korean label was founded by Jay Park and Cha Cha Malone in 2017. Rapper Ahn Byeong Woong gets driven around to work projects in the visual for his new song "Ride." The South Korean artist dropped the official music video for his melodic track on July 14. The single hit streaming sites on July 10 under label WAVY. It's a pre-release track off his upcoming EP due out on July 24. Check it out below.

B Young drops hot visual for new song "OCEAN" ft. BNXN

London artist B Young has returned with a hot new single. The rapper/singer dropped his new song "OCEAN" featuring Nigerian singer BNXN, with an official music video on June 30.  The visual includes beautiful scenes on a beach with a beautiful model. The song produced by AymixBeats is B Young's first release since his 2021 debut album "Differences."

New Music & MV: Jo Gwangil "Compensation" feat. Gaeko

"Show Me the Money 10" winner Jo Gwangil is back with new music and a zombie loaded visual. The South Korean rapper dropped his Slom produced single "Compensation," featuring Gaeko on June 21.  The track showcases his fast flow with lyrics about the work he's put in. Conscious Mind Records Drops Visual for "CMRLIFE II"

The artists from Orlando based Conscious Mind Records have returned with the official music video for their collaborative single "CMRLIFE II."  The hot visual features King T, SoulJah Bless, JaWaan LaRue and Henny Skywalker in their elements. It hit YouTube on June 17. The track rolled out on streaming sites in April. Check out the official music video below.

New Music: Bohan Phoenix - "Take Off, Touch Down"

New York rapper Bohan Phoenix has returned with his second single off his forthcoming album. The artist dropped "Take Off, Touch Down" on streaming sites on May 20 with an official music video.  In the visual, the Hubei-born musician (from China) sings and raps on a mic in front of a band. On social media, the rapper, who immigrated to the U.S. as a child, says the visual is probably one of his favorites.  The groovy video and song, follows the April drop of his single "New York Made Me," the first release off his upcoming project due out this summer. B.I links up with Soulja Boy and DeVita in new song - "BTBT"

South Korean rapper and singer B.I dropped his new collaboration "BTBT," with American rapper Soulja Boy on May 13. His song featuring AOMG singer DeVita, is a pre-release off his upcoming album project "LOVE OR LOVED [L.O.L]." The single is a mixture of dance vibes with afrobeat backgrounds. The song title refers to a Korean phrase that means staggering.  B.I is a former member of Kpop group iKON, and he's now releasing music as a solo artist under his 131 Label, affiliated with IOK Music. On May 13, the rapper released a futuristic music video with the rollout for "BTBT." He has also announced a performance video with choreography by AITTY TOO for the single. That visual is due out on May 17 (or May 18 KST). 

UPDATE: AOMG YouTube channel back after hacker attack

UPDATED: May 12, 2022 The official AOMG YouTube channel is back. According to AOMG a hacker took control of the channel on May 10th. The label posted a notice on social media on May 11, saying it had then managed to restore the channel, but YouTube terminated the site, due to the content uploaded by the hacker.  After reaching out to YouTube, it appears the channel is now officially restored for AOMG for good. The channel has 1.85 million subscribers, and includes content from its artists including ELO, YUGYEOM, DeVita, LeeHi, Hoody, sogumm, Loco, GRAY, Simon Dominic and more. Drake and Jack Harlow shoot music video during The Kentucky Derby for song "Churchill Downs"

On the eve of the 148th running of the Kentucky Derby, Louisville native and rapper, 24-year-old Jack Harlow dropped his new album- "Come Home the Kids Miss You." The project hit streaming sites on May 6th, one day before the May 7th Derby at the Churchill Downs horse-racetrack in Louisville.  Harlow's album includes the Drake-assisted song "Churchill Downs," in which the two rappers share lyrics of introspection before Drake wraps up the more than five minute track with... "Kentucky derby races, my presence in the spot is so abrasive. Box at the Churchill Downs, that's motivation, yeah. And shorty like, "You know that boy Jack is goin' places."    The lyrics in Drake's verse were a prelude to what was to come.
