Song of the Day: PREP - "Don't Look Back" feat. Shownu & So!YoON!


Ahead of their upcoming international tour, London band PREP, is dropping their third EP, Line by Line, on Friday, November 9th. As a pre-release, the band dropped the lead single from the project on October 25th, titled "Don't Look Back." On it, the London four piece are assisted by Shownu, lead singer from kpop group Monsta X, and by So!YoON!, of Korean indie band Se So Neon.

Known for their butter-smooth productions, the musicians deliver woozy, after-hours groove on "Don't Look Back," with a smooth guest verse from Shownu along with So!YoON!'s classy guitar. The song is about the realization that you're not the only person in someone's life.


PREP's previous EP, Cold Fire (released in May), featured a guest spot from Korean R&B singer DEAN (alongside Anderson .Paak collaborator Pomo and Kitsuné's Reva DeVito).

PREP's upcoming Asia and North America tour (including their first shows in the U.S.) kicks off on November 8th in Shanghai. The final stop, will be in Los Angeles on December 3rd. Check out today's Song of the Day, "Don't Look Back" now below.

Up and coming California-based rapper JMIN released his melodic track and visual titled "I Know Why" at the end of June. While the artist is still in the early stages of his music career, he is already receiving international attention after the release of the video for his song “Spaceship” on the 'No Jumper' YouTube channel last September. According to his online profile on GENIUS , JMIN (aka Jonathan Min), is 18-years-old, and moved to Los Angeles from Florida, in the 9th grade. Check out his music and video below.

Golden Changes Name Back to G.Soul After Contract Ends With H1GHR MUSIC

Days after record label H1GHR MUSIC announced its contract with singer Golden had come to an end, the artist on Sunday, January 10, tweeted on Twitter he was changing his stage name back to G.Soul.   The singer Kim Ji-hyun, had been going by the moniker Golden since December 2019 . But fans first got to know the South Korean soulful artist as G.Soul, when he debuted under JYP Entertainment with the release of his EP "Coming Home" in 2015. His debut came after training under JYP for 15 years. In 2017, G.Soul left JYP and joined H1GHR MUSIC, where he released "Circles," "Hate Everything" and "Another Sad Love Song." With the departure from H1GHR MUSIC, the singer is reminding fans to support his work on his YouTube channel. Song of the Week: DOK2 - "CULTURE"

On April 25, legendary rapper DOK2 returned with a visual for his new song "CULTURE." The music video directed by Erik White, dropped under Last King Group, with a link to the rapper's new merch line and a billboard in Los Angeles. The single follows the drop of the  collab track "Chandeliers," with Styliztik Jones back in February.  On his new song, the co-founder of the now defunct South Korean label Illionaire Records, raps "nobody handed me a silver spoon." Sam Kim Has Got "The Juice" In New Single Release

Singer Sam Kim is back with a new funky single with a jazzy vibe. The Korean-American artist dropped his track "The Juice" on June 23, with an official music video, featuring the singer going crazy over love. In the visual there's even a little choreographed dance. Check it out below. 

Simon Dominic and Loco Drop 'Mafia Game' Visual With New Single "At Night"

In a surprise move from AOMG, South Korean veteran rappers Simon Dominic and Loco released a new single and music video on April 9 titled "At Night." In the cinematic-like visual, the two artists play characters involved in a dangerous Mafia (Game) scene with six chapters at a hotel. The song and video are in connection with the mobile game MAFIA42, and Mnet's "High School Rapper" season 4. Check it out below. R&B singer Chancellor known for his smooth vocals, has returned with a new sexy track. The South Korean artist dropped his new single "Behind You," delivering up some sensual lyrics on April 7. The Doomsday co-produced track, follows the release of Chancellor's viral hit song "AUTOMATIC" in October with Babylon, twlv, Moon Sujin, BIBI and Jiselle. Rappers Junoflo and G2 team up once again in new single "OUTLAWZ." The two dropped their hard hitting track on July 9, with lyrics like "I'll take a loss as a learned lesson. H1GHR MUSIC's New Artist GOT7's JAY B To Drop New Single "Switch It Up" Soon

South Korean based hip-hop and R&B label H1GHR MUSIC publicly welcomed GOT7's leader JAY B to the family on May 11, less than a week after dropping a teaser visual with reaction from H1GHR MUSIC members about a new artist on the way. With the official announcement, the label also revealed JAY B will be dropping a new single on May 14. Label co-founder Jay Park, giving fans a possible preview on his Instagram, after sharing a video of the two singing his song "All I Wanna Do" for a few seconds before transitioning for a few seconds to possibly the new single titled "Switch It Up." During an Instagram Live with Park and band member Yugyeom, JAY B promoted his new song, which was produced by H1GHR MUSIC co-founder Cha Cha Malone. Rich Brian Returns with new single - "Sydney"

Rapper Rich Brian is back with new music. The Indonesian artist released his newest single "Sydney" on March 16. The track with a self-produced beat, includes braggadocious lyrics like: "I show my love to legends, that's why I like my own pictures."  The song is his first single of 2021, and the title; "Sydney," is in reference to where he sold out several shows during his "The Sailor Tour" in Australia in 2019.
