NEW MUSIC: Truedy - "Rued" EP with "Very Rare" MV featuring Avec Plaisir

Seven new tracks from 'Unpretty Rapstar' season 2 winner Truedy. The 25-year-old South Korean rapper dropped her mini-album "Rued" on November 7th, with a music video for the song "Very Rare" featuring Avec Plaisir.

Truedy has received criticism in the past for her performance on 'Unpretty Rapstar.' She was accused of copying South Korean-American born rapper Yoon Mi-rae's style and flow. Yoon Mi-rae has a South Korean mother and an African-American father.

Truedy talked about her similarities to Yoon Mi Rae in a 2016 Soompi magazine article;

She's a musician that I really like. I'm a huge fan that looks forward to new music from Yoon Mi Rae more than anyone. During 'Unpretty Rapstar 'a lot of rappers would diss me, comparing me with Yoon Mi Rae, and I cried a lot. It's just my voice, but hearing people say that I was copying Yoon Mi Rae brought tears to my eyes. Of course, I listened to her music a lot, so I definitely was influenced by her in many ways. I have a long way to go. Yoon Mi Rae will forever be a celebrity to me.

Taeyong and Ten, two of the members from the kpop sub-group NCT U, have swag and a lot of it at that. Most of their fans already knew this, but for newcomers, the dance practice video released by SM Entertainment in South Korea, confirms it. The visual in the official video for "Baby Don't Stop," was already a heart stopper. But now, inside a dance studio, for the dance practice video, Taeyong and Ten make their hard, smooth and sexy hip-hop moves with quick hand and footwork, look even sexier. Jack Harlow says the only tour he's going on for the rest of 2023 is in Kentucky

Kentucky native Jack Harlow announced the return of his No Place Like Home tour back in August. The tour includes stops in six Kentucky cities. Taking his third annual hometown shows to a new level, the new leg of the tour will kick off on Friday, November 24 at Owensboro Sports Center in Owensboro, and will wrap in Lexington at Rupp Arena on Sunday, December 3. On social media, Harlow posted that it's the only tour he's going on this year. Tickets are on sale now through Ticketmaster. Harlow is from Louisville and performed last in his hometown in December. BTS singer Jung Kook teams up with Kentucky rapper Jack Harlow for new single "3D"

Singer Jung Kook is back with another high-profile collaboration. The artist is a member of the Korean boy band BTS. He dropped his newest single "3D," featuring Kentucky rapper Jack Harlow, on September 29. This is the first joint venture between Jung Kook and Jack Harlow. It follows Jung Kook's collaboration with Latto for his song "Seven," which dropped on July 14. It also follows Harlow's release of his April 2023 album "Jackman," and the announcement of his upcoming "No Place Like Home" tour. Rapper Dok2 talks about working with Jay Park and G-Dragon (from BIGBANG) in Ep. 31 of "Fun With Dumb"

Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Lucky for fans, the rapper sat down on two separate occasions recently to talk about his life and the rise of hip-hop in South Korea. The first interview was for the March 7th face to face with rapper Snacky Chan for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod." The second was for American rapper Dumbfoundead's March 20th (ep. 31) podcast of "Fun With Dumb." During the podcast, Dok2 provided a mini-history lesson for anyone interested in South Korean hip-hop. Beginning with his early rise, the rapper says he's been making moves in the industry since 2002 when he was 12-years-old.
