KIFF CLAN members in New (DF LIVE) Video Drop for Yenjamin's track - "Placebo"


Members from the South Korean hip-hop crew Kiff Clan, are dropping bars in a new DF LIVE ​/ Dingo FreeStyle upload on YouTube. The video (out on Oct. 1) is for crew member Yenjamin's track "Placebo," (produced by Junior Chef) from his double single release "Travel on My Mind."

Kiff Clan crew consists of Yenjamin, Vinxen, WEBSTER B, Young Kay, Mayer Soo, a.mond, Woong and HAON (who is not in the video). The rappers are signed to different labels-- BrandNew Music, Romantic Factory, AMOEBA CULTURE, VMC and H1GHR MUSIC. Check out the MV below.

Fans still have questions about ECÂF after the release of Ruel's new single & MV - "Face To Face"

New Music: South Korean R&B singer MELOH returns with Self-titled EP

Fans have been watching for South Korean singer MELOH ever since he hit the stage for AOMG's Signhere  audition TV show program in 2019 on MBN. While he didn't finish first, he did make it to the finals with his smooth vocals.  Fast forward to 2021, and MELOH is back with his first EP, titled "MELOH," and signed to the new hip-hop label-- Daytona Entertainment, founded by The Quiett and Yumdda. MELOH's new self-titled R&B mini-album hit streaming sites on January 2. Drake and Jack Harlow shoot music video during The Kentucky Derby for song "Churchill Downs"

On the eve of the 148th running of the Kentucky Derby, Louisville native and rapper, 24-year-old Jack Harlow dropped his new album- "Come Home the Kids Miss You." The project hit streaming sites on May 6th, one day before the May 7th Derby at the Churchill Downs horse-racetrack in Louisville.  Harlow's album includes the Drake-assisted song "Churchill Downs," in which the two rappers share lyrics of introspection before Drake wraps up the more than five minute track with... "Kentucky derby races, my presence in the spot is so abrasive. Box at the Churchill Downs, that's motivation, yeah. H1GHR MUSIC's Mokyo shares new "Daddy" single & MV for "people suffering from domestic violence"

A dark and somber look into the world of H1GHR MUSIC singer Mokyo. The artist dropped the visual for his new song "Daddy" on March 8th on YouTube. On social media he writes that the single is for "people suffering from domestic violence." In the chilling cinematic video for "Daddy," Mokyo (also known as producer Thurxday) wanders from a cemetery to the streets and vast lands and waters with a hole in his body. The finale of it includes a heart-stopping emotional end, which could leave you in tears. The new music video follows the March 2nd debut release of Mokyo as a singer-songwriter for H1GHR MUSIC, which included the drop of "Something," a track and MV focused on the interaction between mother and son.

Avatar Darko Officially Signs With H1GHR MUSIC

Seattle Rapper Avatar Darko, has officially signed with hip-hop label H1GHR MUSIC. The CEOs, Jay Park and Cha Cha Malone, posted the official video on June 5th, to social media of Avatar signing the contract, and receiving his H1GHR MUSIC gold chain.  The new signee is fresh off a U.S. tour with his H1GHR MUSIC labelmates (which wrapped on May 8th in Seattle). He also hit the stage with them back in March, for South by Southwest. New Video Drop: Jay Park & Yultron - "Forget About Tomorrow" [Official MV]

Fans first fell in love with the song back in December, when Jay Park and electronic artist/producer Yultron debuted it, during the season finale of 'Asia's Got Talent' (where Park had been a judge). Now the official music video is here. Dropping on Jay Park's YouTube channel , on Tuesday, January 30 (Korean Standard Time), and it is beautiful. Rapper Dok2 talks about working with Jay Park and G-Dragon (from BIGBANG) in Ep. 31 of "Fun With Dumb"

Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Lucky for fans, the rapper sat down on two separate occasions recently to talk about his life and the rise of hip-hop in South Korea. The first interview was for the March 7th face to face with rapper Snacky Chan for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod."   The second was for American rapper Dumbfoundead's March 20th (ep. 31) podcast of "Fun With Dumb." During the podcast, Dok2 provided a mini-history lesson for anyone interested in South Korean hip-hop. Beginning with his early rise, the rapper says he's been making moves in the industry since 2002 when he was 12-years-old. He told Dumbfoundead that he used to attend a school for foreigners in Busan (because of his mixed Korean, Spanish and Filipino heritage), but after 6th grade he moved to Seoul and did not return back to school (due to family financial reasons). SONG of The Week: EXO - "Ya Ya Ya" - with a sample from SWV- “You’re the One”

It's that 90s sample that makes the song. On November 27, Kpop group EXO released their sixth album titled "OBSESSION." On it, the track "Ya Ya Ya," which samples American R&B trio-- SWV, and their 1996 hit-- “You’re the One.” The new song from EXO, "Ya Ya Ya," was co-produced by Dem Jointz, who’s previously worked with Dr. Dre, Anderson .Paak and ScHoolboy Q, according to Genius.com. The vocals on the song include the current six active members of the group... Sehun, Chen, Chanyeol, Kai, Baekhyun, and Suho. Rapper Shotta Spence Shares his Mother's Story

Shotta Spence, the 21-year-old up and coming rapper from New Jersey, shared part of his mother's journey from Vietnam, on Instagram, on Monday, September 4, as he wished her a Happy Birthday, and thanked her for supporting him as an artist. In his post, Shotta Spence (Spence Lee) wrote that when his mother was a little girl in Vietnam,  "the communist North had taken everything from her family. During the war, her parents and siblings had to escape further south in a TANK. The South Vietnamese and the Americans were losing the war, and she got separated from her family in the chaos.
