Year of the OX rappers, Lyricks (Rick Lee) and JL (John Lee), are putting the breaks on the party life to focus on the hustle, with South Korean rapper Reddy, from Hi-Lite Records. The three artists have dropped their latest collaboration-- "eightyfivesoul."
The YOX Korean-American duo, originally from Virginia, are affiliated with Transparent Agency and rapper Dumbfoundead's collective/label BORN CTZN. Their debut self-titled EP dropped in 2017. The two have worked with Reddy before, previously on his single "Turkey," which dropped earlier this year.
Their new project, a 4-track EP, hit streaming sites on October 5, with two music videos on YouTube. Produced by UGP, the trio (born in 1985) deliver old school, and melodic hip-hop flow on "eightyfivesoul." Their track "Do It" features Reddy's labelmate G2.
The music videos include a Dingo FreeStyle DF LIVE for "No More Parties" and a DearLiar directed MV for "Knock Knock." Check out the new music and visuals (which include subtitles) below.
