Chaanill and Xydo are just two of the solo artists representing the South Korean crew Poison Holyc. Other artists, songwriters and producers from the collective include £.vıewƶ (who debuted two years ago) and also includes: YuJeong, KyLy, Miya, Nap!er, Kobel and YELLA. Miya recently uploaded a track with E.viewz titled "The Shell."

H1GHR MUSIC fans have more questions after label drops compilation single - "BRB"

H1GHR MUSIC returned with a new compilation single and visual on July 27. The title for the new song-- "BRB," is an acronym for "Be Right Back." The track produced by GroovyRoom and Cha Cha Malone, includes arstists HAON, Sik-K, TRADE L, BIG Naughty, pH-1, PARK HYEON JIN, JAY B and Jay Park.  The song includes the lyrics: "We'll meet again after looking around" and "H1GHR gang, no label, issa la familia." Fans are commenting under the official music video for the song, saying the lyrics are sad and appear to suggest an ending or hiatus.  The new release comes just days after rapper pH-1 deleted his posts on Instagram and after H1GHR MUSIC announced the departures of rapper Sik-K and GOT7 singer JAY B, after the expiration of their contracts. Sik-K had been with the label since its founding, while JAY B had been with H1GHR for just a year.  The South Korean label was founded by Jay Park and Cha Cha Malone in 2017. AOMG Welcomes Sogumm to the Label after her "Signhere" win on MBN

South Korean label AOMG (founded by Jay Park), now has two female artists. AOMG welcomed Sogumm to the team on October 31, after the final episode of Signhere on MBN. The singer took home first place, on the competition show. Her total scores for her performance beating out Meloh, Maddox and MBA. Sogumm joins Hoody, and a crew of popular male artists, as the second woman signed to AOMG. Hoody became the first female artist to sign to the hip-hop and R&B record label back in 2015. NEW NAME FOR BTS MEMBER (formerly Rap Monster)

The leader of the super popular kpop group BTS, from South Korea, has officially changed his name. Kim Nam-joon previously known as Rap Monster, has changed his stage name to RM. The announcement was published on the BTS official fan cafe on November 13.  RM wrote on it, that although he's been called Rap Monster for the past five years, he felt the need to change it, because that title was   getting more and more distant from the music done for the past 5 years.                                                                    -RM (via allkpop)    Back on September 19, 2017, Rap Monster announced on his Beats1Noisey Interview that he would be changing his name to RM. Rapper Dok2 talks about his personal life and South Korean hip-hop - in English ("Kill Bill") interview with Snacky Chan for "Undergod"

On the March 7th episode of ' Target: Billboard - Kill Bill,' legendary rapper Dok2 brought a number of notable Korean (and Korean-American) rappers out on stage with him to perform his latest song. The show ' Kill Bill'  is an MBC hip-hop survival program which aims to put a South Korean hip-hop artist on the Billboard charts with a collaboration with DJ Khaled. Artists who hit the stage with Dok2 during this episode were Snacky Chan, Changmo, Double K, Deepflow, Los, Young B, Pyunny, Keem Hyo-Eun, Junoflo and Nucksal. After the show, Dok2 and Snacky Chan went backstage to record an interview for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod." During their one on one, Dok2 compares hip-hop styles of trap and boom bap. Song of The Day: Lolo Zouaï - "Moi"

Sexy and seductive-- the vibe from Lolo Zouaï's track "Moi," a song where she tells her lover in French and English, that she's leaving him. The track, with an intoxicating finale, is off Zouaï's April debut album, "High Highs to Low Lows." The French-Algerian American singer/songwriter told PAPER magazine that she wrote the song after a stay and a relationship with an older man in Paris. According to a June tweet from the artist, she was born in Paris, moved to San Francisco when she was three months old, and lived there until she was 18, before moving to New York. Zouaï is now traveling the world, promoting her music. In mid-August she performed "Moi" on stage in South Korea with ALiEN Dance Studio, as backup dancers, who also dropped a choreography video in collaboration with the singer. A message of support to a loved one, from R&B singer SLCHLD. The artist shared his emotional Pacific produced track - "Huge Mood," on SoundCloud on November 6th. Lyrics include... "My love, my love, please don't wrestle the pain. My love, my love, get ahold of your mind." SLCHLD is a singer with ties to South Korea and Vancouver, Canada. Rapper Dok2 talks about working with Jay Park and G-Dragon (from BIGBANG) in Ep. 31 of "Fun With Dumb"

Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Lucky for fans, the rapper sat down on two separate occasions recently to talk about his life and the rise of hip-hop in South Korea. The first interview was for the March 7th face to face with rapper Snacky Chan for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod."   The second was for American rapper Dumbfoundead's March 20th (ep. 31) podcast of "Fun With Dumb." During the podcast, Dok2 provided a mini-history lesson for anyone interested in South Korean hip-hop. Beginning with his early rise, the rapper says he's been making moves in the industry since 2002 when he was 12-years-old. He told Dumbfoundead that he used to attend a school for foreigners in Busan (because of his mixed Korean, Spanish and Filipino heritage), but after 6th grade he moved to Seoul and did not return back to school (due to family financial reasons). Back with that neo-soul and jazz vibe, South Korean singer Horim dropped his first full length album, "METROCITY," on October 24. The 19-song project includes previously released tracks "Movin," (featuring Mxxg, Odee, Kim Oki & DJ Noah) and "Sug4r," featuring Paloalto from Hi-Lite Records. The album also dropped with an official music video for its lead track "Street." Horim from BANKTWOBROTHERS, has one of those soulful raspy voices that take you back in time, to when people were still grooving to Erykah Badu and D'Angelo on the radio. Jackson Wang Drops New Self-Titled Song

Rapper Jackson Wang has returned with a new release. The GOT7 former JYP Entertainment artist from Hong Kong dropped his new self-titled single with an animated visual on January 11. Before the release, Wang tweeted "Who I am. What I wanna do. Everything about my life here in this song." In the music video, we see an animated visual of Wang, as he walks mostly alone on a sidewalk and sings... "Taking my path step by step, it ain't so bad. When you get to it, it ain't so sad." He then goes on to share his story, as he raps about leaving home at the age of 17, as a fencing champion, in 2011 to start a career in the music industry in South Korea as a KPOP entertainer. Singer G.Soul Discharged from the Military

The H1GHR MUSIC soulful artist enlisted in December of 2017, for his mandatory military service.  On social media, he posted that the army has been one of the "most challenging yet rewarding experiences" of his life. The singer also says he can't wait to let fans hear the "new music" that he's working on.
