Jay Park Gives Fans The Concert Experience We All Want

Most fans already know this, but Jay Park is one of the hardest working men in show business. Fans saw an example of his work ethic on January 20 & 21, during his two day 'All of Me,' solo concerts in South Korea. Saturday's vibe, "Everything You Wanted," was R&B,  and Sunday's "Worldwide," was for the rap and hip-hop crowd.

A lot of his fans have uploaded clips on social media, showing Jay Park dancing and singing hard. The concert on the first day, opened with sexy moves for the song "Replay," and also included rare performances of older songs like "Star," and "So Good," and newer songs like "Forget About Tomorrow."

On the second day, there was "Hulk Hogan," and a Show Me The Money 6 favorite, "Most Hated," with Dok2 on stage. The Quiett also joined Park for "WorldWide." They were just two of the artists to share in the spotlight for the two day event.

Hours after the shows, Jay Park thanked fans and everyone involved in the making of the concert experience. On Instagram, Park wrote that the sold out back to back concerts included a total of 44 songs and more than 100 hours of preparation. He also went on to say that everyone was perfect but him, in which people responded with more than a thousand replies about how great his performances really are. The wait now continues for tour dates to be released to see Jay Park live in the United States. He will be at SXSW with H1GHR MUSIC in March, but London is his next stop with a concert scheduled on February 4, with Sik-K, Hoody and DJ Wegun.

Hip-hop is dominating the charts from around the world. During the week ending April 9, some hot new music hit streaming sites, including new hits from Louisville, KY rapper Jack Harlow, Argentine artist Paulo Londra and South Korean rapper ChaMane. Jack Harlow's banger "First Class" rolled out on streaming sites on April 8, with an official visualizer (that's currently trending on YouTube) just days after a preview of the song on social media with the artist in the studio went viral. The rapper samples Fergie’s 2006 hit “Glamorous” in "First Class." According to Chart Data, the new song has already topped the global Spotify chart and has earned the biggest chart debut of the year. "First Class" is a pre-release off Harlow's upcoming project- "Come Home The Kids Miss You," due out on May 6th. Could J-HOPE's "Hope World" Be The Best Mixtape of 2018?

by Nefertiti Jenkins BTS rapper J-Hope has dropped his first mixtape, and a music video ( "Daydream" ) to go with it.  The visual is currently trending in the top ten on YouTube. In less than twelve hours, it's gotten more than 9 million views. J-Hope is also currently trending on Twitter, and maybe it's because he's also a dancer... but the mixtape itself, with seven tracks (in Korean and some English) is worth dancing to.   Dropped on March 1 (or March 2, KST), "Hope World" gives BTS fans a side we don't always get to see from J-Hope. Known for being sweet and goofy, his lyrics go deep with some old school hip-hop beats, and could be on its way to being one of the best mixtapes of 2018.   This is the first solo album for J-Hope (fellow BTS rappers RM and Suga have each previously dropped mixtapes).  The tracks for "Hope World" take us up and down on a J-Hope vibe. Here's our take on the songs... 1. "Hope

Song of The Day: Dok2 - "1LLOGIC" (Feat. Chancellor)

On March 28, for his 28th birthday, Dok2 from Illionaire Records dropped two new tracks, "1LLOGIC" featuring R&B singer Chancellor, and "Straight Up" featuring DJ Wegun from AOMG and Keem Hyo-Eun (from Dok2's sub-label, Ambition). Both songs from the double release are really good.  The music is available now on Google Play, Spotify and iTunes. "1LLOGIC" is today's Song of The Day. It begins with vocals from Chancellor sounding like Usher.  Chancellor sings in English and Korean, and Dok2 gives us melodic rap, also in English and Korean. The song is about how hard they work, and can put you in a laid back, chill mood. Recognize me, you know where I be. Hunnit on my wrist baby. Listen to both tracks on Spotify here. New Music: Ama Lou - "Trust Nobody"

British R&B singer Ama Lou is back with a new single. The artist dropped her song- "Trust Nobody," with a black and white self-directed official visual on October 28. Her previous release, the 5-track "Ama, who?" EP, hit streaming sites back in 2019. Her new song is off her forthcoming project. Check out the single below.

SONG of The Week: EXO - "Ya Ya Ya" - with a sample from SWV- “You’re the One”

It's that 90s sample that makes the song. On November 27, Kpop group EXO released their sixth album titled "OBSESSION." On it, the track "Ya Ya Ya," which samples American R&B trio-- SWV, and their 1996 hit-- “You’re the One.” The new song from EXO, "Ya Ya Ya," was co-produced by Dem Jointz, who’s previously worked with Dr. Dre, Anderson .Paak and ScHoolboy Q, according to Genius.com. The vocals on the song include the current six active members of the group... Sehun, Chen, Chanyeol, Kai, Baekhyun, and Suho. And it's the loop of that SWV sample throughout the track, that makes you want to hear the song over and over again, after you first hit play. The repeat-- for the club, campus, home or car. The track--the best on the "OBSESSION" project; making it our SONG OF THE WEEK. Check it out below.
