Back in the mid 90s and early 2000s, everyone was grooving to neo-soul artist D'Angelo. His smooth R&B, funk, and jazz fusion sounds and sex appeal had ladies swooning to his beat. Today there is an artist in South Korea who vibes like D'Angelo. His name is Horim, and he's just dropped new music.
The track is called "Movin." The mv features rappers Mxxg and Odee, as well as DJ Noah, saxophonist Kim Oki, and dancer J-Roc. The visual was uploaded on YouTube on January 24. When you listen to it, you immediately connect, especially if you like that old school sound. It's jazzy and Horim's raspy voice at the beginning, takes you back in time. But rap beats from featured artists gives this tune a modern spin (with turntables and a saxophone). Check out the video below. Also, INLet'sGo! got to see Horim perform live on stage, back in 2017, during the NBA Buzzer Beat Festival, check out that video below as well.
