CONCERT WATCH: Nelly, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony & Juvenile

Old School hip-hop will be taking over the baseball field this spring. Blue Cap Entertainment is taking rapper Nelly to six Minor League Ballparks. Touring with him are Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, and Juvenile. Tickets are on sale now for as low as $34. The first show is on April 14 in Kissimmee, FL. The last stop is Lexington, KY on May 19.


Remember back in the day; "Country Grammar," "Hot in Herre," and "Dilemma" from Nelly. "Thuggish Ruggish Bone," "1st of tha Month, and Tha Crossroads" from Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, and "Back That Azz Up and "Slow Motion," from Juvenile. Yeah, the concerts are going to be lit.

Fans still have questions about ECÂF after the release of Ruel's new single & MV - "Face To Face"

Hot New Music: Jack Harlow - "First Class," Paulo Londra - "Chance" and ChaMane - "26"

Hip-hop is dominating the charts from around the world. During the week ending April 9, some hot new music hit streaming sites, including new hits from Louisville, KY rapper Jack Harlow, Argentine artist Paulo Londra and South Korean rapper ChaMane. Jack Harlow's banger "First Class" rolled out on streaming sites on April 8, with an official visualizer (that's currently trending on YouTube) just days after a preview of the song on social media with the artist in the studio went viral. The rapper samples Fergie’s 2006 hit “Glamorous” in "First Class." Avatar Darko Officially Signs With H1GHR MUSIC

Seattle Rapper Avatar Darko, has officially signed with hip-hop label H1GHR MUSIC. The CEOs, Jay Park and Cha Cha Malone, posted the official video on June 5th, to social media of Avatar signing the contract, and receiving his H1GHR MUSIC gold chain.  The new signee is fresh off a U.S. tour with his H1GHR MUSIC labelmates (which wrapped on May 8th in Seattle). He also hit the stage with them back in March, for South by Southwest. Jay Park Hits The Stage with Ted Park, Young Paris, Casanova & 6ix9ine During "SOJU" Release Party In New York

Fans are sharing videos from Jay Park's "SOJU" release party in New York City. The single (featuring 2 Chainz and produced by Woogie) hit online platforms around midnight (EST) on May 25th, while a crowd of supporters got 'turnt up' at SOB's in the Manhattan neighborhood of SoHo, with hip-hop artist Jay Park, performing the new single, along with some older favorites like "Mommae." On stage with him, were rappers Casanova and Tekashi 6ix9ine, along with singer Ted Park (from Jay's H1GHR MUSIC label) and afrobeats artist Young Paris - who dropped his "My Tribe" LP on May 16, with Jay Park featured on the track   "Girls Wanna Party."  Young Paris and Roc Nation have shared videos on Instagram, and Jay Park, drinking a bottle of Soju, has posted on Instagram Story, that the "night was crazy." ALBUM SPOTLIGHT: Bas - "Milky Way" (Ahead of the Big Tour)

by Nefertiti Jenkins Sudanese-American hip-hop artist Bas (from J. Cole's Dreamville Records) dropped his latest project "Milky Way" back on August 24. The 14-track album includes international beats with conscious flow. The Paris born rapper moved to Queens, New York when he was eight. His family is originally from Sudan (Northeast Africa). It's been two and a half years since his previous release, "Too High To Riot."  According to Bas (in a Power 106 interview ), tracks on "Milky Way" were inspired by African vibes, including Afro Beats and South African House music. BTS To Perform at Billboard Music Awards

Back on American television. Kpop group BTS announced on April 24, that it will be performing at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards. The show is May 20th on NBC. The group has been nominated for the Top Social Artist award. Last year BTS won the title, and attended the show. This year, according to Billboard, the members will perform with a world television premiere of a new single. Two days before, according to BTS, the members will release their new full album "Love Yourself: Tear" on May 18. Last year in November, BTS debuted on American television for a performance at the American Music Awards. The seven-member boy group also was on the "The Ellen Show," "Jimmy Kimmel Live," and "The Late Late Show with James Corden." F.HERO links up with BamBam from GOT7 for new song and MV - "Do You"

BamBam from GOT7 delivers a trap hook and flow, with Thai rapper F.HERO (ฟักกลิ้ง ฮีโร่) on the new KILO KEYS produced track - "Do You." The song is off F.HERO's new 32-track album - "INTO THE NEW ERA." The visual for "Do You" dropped on October 16, with a suave BamBam dressed in black. The kpop idol is originally from Bangkok, Thailand. His lyrics on the hip-hop track are in English. Check out the video above. Drake Praises Dumbfoundead in "Bad Rap" (Now on Netflix)

Before artist and battle rapper Dumbfoundead released his hot "We Might Die" album, or dropped the popular music videos for the tracks 'SAFE' and 'Harambe,' and the catchy but freaky visual for 'Water,' Dumbfoundead was sitting down with producer and director Salima Koroma and co-producer Jaeki Cho for a documentary with three of his friends called "Bad Rap." It premiered last year at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival, but was just recently uploaded on Netflix. The documentary walks us through the journey he and fellow Asian-American artists Awkwafina, Lyricks and Rekstizzy were on, to break into the larger American hip-hop scene, as they navigated through the waters of culture appropriation (from the African-American community) and originality. Dumbfoundead has been known for his battle rap skills for a long time. In the film we get to re-experience his epic comeback battle (after a break) against Conceited (from Wild 'n Out)

Jarv Dee Drops Final Single Under H1GHR MUSIC - "No Regrets" feat. Sik-K & pH-1

Seattle artist Jarv Dee is parting ways with hip-hop label H1GHR MUSIC. The rapper dropped his track "No Regrets" featuring South Korean rappers Sik-K and pH-1 on December 27, as his last single with the label. Jarv Dee and H1GHR MUSIC posted the announcement on social media about the departure, shortly after the release of the new song. The label was founded by Jay Park and Cha Cha Malone in 2017, and Jarv Dee as one of its artists, had been with H1GHR MUSIC since then. NEW R&B: Oceanfromtheblue - "PAPARAZZI"

South Korean singer Oceanfromtheblue released the official live lyric video to his soulful R&B track "PAPARAZZI" on January 30. In the visual, the artist mesmerizes with a wide vocal range, which includes high and low notes riding on smooth melodies, as he sings about taking pictures of his love interest.
