New Video Drop: from new KHip-Hop Artist - Kobel - "Don't Hit My Line" MV


A debut music video for a rising hip-hop star in Korea. Recording artist and producer (Johnny) Kobel, dropped his first mv on June 2nd. Called "Don't Hit My Line," Kobel writes on social media, that it was his first time acting in front of a camera during the shoot for it. The visual gives viewers a full view of the young singer /rapper as he delivers a message for a troubled love...

During an Instagram Live recently, Kobel told fans that he was born in Belgium, studied in the U.S. for ten years, and lived in Chile for three years. He's now making moves in South Korea. Check out his music on SoundCloud and his new video on YouTube below.

Mural of Rapper Dumbfoundead Vandalized

The iconic mural of rapper Dumbfoundead painted on the side of Catalina Liquor in Koreatown in Los Angeles, has been vandalized-- that's according to a social media post from the artist. A picture of the vandalism, shows letters spray painted across it. On July 16th, Dumbfoundead thanked painter Joseph Yun Lee and Catalina Liquor on Instagram for "wanting to keep the mural up as long as they did."  The mural was originally painted for the rapper's 2016 music video "Murals," a visual off his "We Might Die" album. Last year, he tweeted that he was getting a least one tagged photo a day from fans who had taken a picture in front of it. Dumbfoundead is now asking fans to send pictures or videos they had taken in front of the mural to muralsforever@gmail.com or tag him, so he can use the images in a video. NEW R&B with a sexy video from Maikel Delacalle - "LATINOAMERICANA" featuring Alizzz

by Nefertiti Jenkins A new sexy R&B music video from Spanish melodic hip-hop rapper-singer Maikel Delacalle. The visual for the track "LATINOAMERICANA" featuring Alizzz, hit YouTube on August 30. It focuses on a beautiful sultry woman. This is just the latest in a string of recent soulful hits for the Latin Urban artist from San Isidro (Tenerife), Spain. Delacalle featured on Argentine hip-hop artist Cazzu's seductive number  "Puedo Ser," which dropped on August 16 and has more than five million views. H1GHR MUSIC Tour - The Cities for the U.S. Concert Stops - Tickets On Sale March 17

Fans have been looking for this since October of 2017 , when the hip-hop label H1GHR MUSIC, first announced that they were going to have a 2018 North America Tour.  Thousands of people have been waiting patiently to hear more details about the concert stops for CEOs Jay Park and Cha Cha Malone and their H1GHR MUSIC artists. And after months of teasing, on March 3, Siva Group Entertainment reassured fans, by releasing the names of the cities for the much anticipated locations. Siva Group has worked with Jay Park before. This one is for the dog lovers. Korean alternative soul singer, Colde, from offonoff, has released the music video for his first solo single "Your Dog Loves You," featuring R&B artist Crush. The actual track was released back on March 28. The song is about Colde's dog, Samna, from the dog's perspective. The track has a nice melody, and the visual will melt your heart. It includes images of not only Colde's dog, but other dogs (of different breeds) as well. The mv was uploaded just hours after Mnet uploaded Colde's and Crush's beautiful performance (on April 27) of the song, on the music battle show "Breakers," where Colde is competing. Jay Park Adds and Interacts With Fans on Instagram Live Before Hawaii Concert

Social media is allowing fans and artists to interact with each other like never before. While in a room in Hawaii, on Sunday, April 1, singer/rapper/co-CEO Jay Park, discovered a feature during his Instagram Live stream, which allowed him to add and connect with fans, for 'one on one' time, but in front of thousands of people peering in. Jay Park was in Hawaii for a concert, with Hoody and pH-1 happening later that night.  At almost five minutes into his livestream, we hear the Roc Nation artist say, "I've never done this before." South Korean Hip-Hop Label Hi-Lite Records Disbands after 12 Years

Another loss for the hip-hop industry in South Korea. On April 20, Hi-Lite Records founder and former CEO Paloalto announced the disbandment of the label during his Instagram Live. Paloalto created the company in 2010. He stepped down as CEO in 2020 , but remained on as a recording artist. The label was most recently home to other artists such as Reddy, Huckleberry P, Swervy, Owell Mood, Soovi, jerd and Ash-B.  Hi-Lite Records posted a statement on its social media platforms following Paloalto's announcement saying in part...  "As many of you heard through Paloalto’s Instagram Live, we have decided to officially disband the Hi-Lite Records label. A number of different situations and circumstances led to this decision. Above all, know that this decision was made to ensure the best possible future for our artists and employees." Former 'K-pop Star 5' Singer - Lexie Liu - Now Signed with 88rising

U.S. media company, 88rising, announced a new addition to their label on June 19, with a tweet that read, "Introducing Lexie Liu Boxin to the 88rising gang." The tweet included a link to Lexie Liu's new video, "Like A Mercedes," which dropped on the 88rising YouTube channel. The 19-year-old singer-songwriter from China, might be a familiar face for some kpop fans. According to media reports, in 2015, she participated in K-pop Star 5 , a South Korean competition show, where agencies hold auditions to find potential kpop stars. She came in fourth place, and was offered a deal with one of the largest entertainment companies in South Korea, YG Entertainment, but she later declined. The singer's debut single and mv for 88rising, "Like A Mercedes," centers around a cyberpunk virtual reality storyline, with R&B and melodic hip-hop sounds in English and Chinese. South Korean rapper Coogie drops new single as contract with AOMG expires

South Korean artist Coogie dropped his new single "1,2,3,4,5" on January 23, 2025--the same day record label AOMG announced its exclusive contract with the rapper had come to an end. Coogie signed with AOMG in 2022.  He was previously signed under hip-hop label ATMseoul. He became known for his sing-song melodic rap style after participating in the South Korean rap competition series Show Me The Money 777 in 2018.  The translation to AOMG's post on X reads... Entertainment company 88rising, has announced an all star line-up for its "Head In The Clouds Music & Arts Festival," happening this fall in California. The event will take place on September 22nd at Los Angeles State Historic Park. According to the 88rising website , it will feature Rich Brian, Joji, Keith Ape, Zion.T, Higher Brothers, Yung Bans, Yung Pinch, KOHH, LAFF TRAXX (Toro Y Moi & Nosaj Thing), NIKI, AUGUST 08, Diablo, Don Krez, and more. In the description under the announcement video, on the 88rising YouTube channel, it says pre-sale starts Tuesday (May 8), at 10 a.m. (PDT) on the Head In The Clouds ticket website here.
