In the 'Behind The Scene' video for the song "Demolition Man," uploaded to the AOMG YouTube channel, AOMG co-CEO, Simon Dominic, says he had been going through a hard time for a while, but working on that track was a "healing time" for him.
You can never feel my pain. You can never feel my pain.
The powerful song, "Demolition Man," featuring Kim Jong-Seo, ends on a jazzy note, and is a track on the new studio album, "Darkroom: Roommates Only," which hit online streaming platforms in a surprise move for fans, on June 15. The album is the first for the artist in three years, since the release of the hip-hop EP "Won & Only" in 2015.
This new work of art, is mellow and groovy. Beginning with the dreamy psychedelic funk beats on the first track, "Roommates Only." Throughout the entire album, we hear Simon D's smooth flow. The South Korean rapper is from the city of Busan, and when he spits bars, you hear his Busan accent in songs like "Ullah," the eighth and final track.
The lyrics may be mostly in Korean, but the rawness of the melodies, is the only language needed to connect with Simon D's deep melodic vibe. You can find his new music on iTunes/Apple Music, Spotify, Google Play Music and more.
