WINNER Is Winning with 2nd Album "EVERYD4Y" & "EVERYDAY" Official MV

by Nefertiti Jenkins
The 4th of April belongs to kpop group WINNER. On this date, the four young men from YG Entertainment dropped their second full-length album titled "EVERYD4Y" and also released the visuals for the title track on YouTube, "EVERYDAY."

The music video (with nearly two million views just hours after its release) opens with mature content for a kpop act from Korea. It begins with the camera zooming in past two women in bikinis. From the start, the looks of the video feels like khip-hop. The track "Everyday" is auto-tune heavy, with a skinny Mino taking the lead rapping. According to ygunited.com, the video was filmed in the U.S.
The video shot in Malibu, California is another collaboration with director Dave Meyers, who previously directed WINNER’s ‘REALLY REALLY’. Dave Meyers directed the video for Camila Cabello’s ‘Havana’ which swept Billboard and Korean charts, and recently won a Grammy Award.
For some fans, seeing Kim Jin-Woo, Lee Seung-Hoon, Kang Seung-Yoon, and Song Min-ho (Mino), interacting with scantily clad women isn't too shocking, after witnessing Mino make-out with an actress in the teaser film "Exit" back in early 2016, and then there was his September 2016 sexy and seductive single, "Body". So it is only fitting, that Mino would also have a solo track on the new WINNER album called "Turn Off The Light."

The entire "EVERYD4Y" album is well produced and shows the range and growth of the four member team. It includes hip-hop, r&b, ballads and pop sounds. You can find the album on iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify and on the YG E-shop page.
