NEW MUSIC ON THE WAY: Hoody - "Golden" featuring Jay Park


She's the queen of AOMG, and the songstress has a new collaboration with her boss.  Singer Hoody is releasing a new track called "Golden," featuring AOMG co-CEO Jay Park. A music video teaser for it was uploaded on the AOMG YouTube channel on April 25. Produced by Slom and directed by Yungtada, the teaser shows images of the two artists having a good time with friends.

Hoody's "Golden" with Jay Park, is the title song for a two track single album. It will be released on Friday, April 27 at 6 p.m. (KST). The second track on it, is called "Why."

A wild Battle of the Bands (Simmons College vs. Kentucky State) during this year's Roots and Heritage festival parade in Lexington

Bigger crowds for the 2024 Roots and Heritage Parade and Battle of the Bands in Lexington, Kentucky. The parade started earlier than usual, at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 7, but still hundreds of people lined the streets to see local organizations along with Bryan Station High school, Central High School, Simmons College of Kentucky and Kentucky State University march down the road.   The Parade on Saturday began on Fourth Street and Elm Tree Lane, turned right onto ML King, right onto Fifth Street, right onto Race Street, right onto Third Street and ended on Elm Tree Lane The parade was followed by a wild and exciting Battle of the Bands and band performances. It was held outside the historic Lyric Theatre on East Third Street and Elm Tree Lane.  The festival started with an African American marketplace on Friday and wrapped with a gospel celebration on Sunday.  Check out the parade and bands below.

B.I links up with Soulja Boy and DeVita in new song - "BTBT"

South Korean rapper and singer B.I dropped his new collaboration "BTBT," with American rapper Soulja Boy on May 13. His song featuring AOMG singer DeVita, is a pre-release off his upcoming album project "LOVE OR LOVED [L.O.L]." The single is a mixture of dance vibes with afrobeat backgrounds. The song title refers to a Korean phrase that means staggering.  B.I is a former member of Kpop group iKON, and he's now releasing music as a solo artist under his 131 Label, affiliated with IOK Music. On May 13, the rapper released a futuristic music video with the rollout for "BTBT." He has also announced a performance video with choreography by AITTY TOO for the single. That visual is due out on May 17 (or May 18 KST). 

Vietnamese Rapper Suboi - Drops MV for Summer Anthem "N-SAO?"

Suboi is now known as Vietnam's queen of hip-hop, after becoming the first successful female Vietnamese rapper in her country. On August 2nd, she released the official music video on the 88rising YouTube channel, for her latest track, "N-SAO?"  On it, the 28-year-old artist spits bars over a club beat. Suboi has been making music since 2007. Her last EP, "2.7," dropped in October of 2017.  In 2016, she freestyled for former U.S. President Barack Obama during his visit to Vietnam. Her new song, in Vietnamese (with English subtitles on the visual), is a summer anthem about empowerment.  Check out the music video down below.

Jay Park Performs English Version of "Yacht" For "24 Hours of Reality"

Jay Park has premiered the full English version of his song "Yacht." The singer performed it for the first time on Dec. 5, on former U.S. Vice President Al Gore's "24 Hours of Reality." The program streams live every year scientists, business leaders and celebrities talking about "the climate crisis." This is the second year, for Jay Park to lend his voice and talent to the program. Park also introduced one of the singers from his label, H1GHR MUSIC, Phe Reds, who performed his sweet song "Smile." Rapper Dok2 talks about working with Jay Park and G-Dragon (from BIGBANG) in Ep. 31 of "Fun With Dumb"

Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Lucky for fans, the rapper sat down on two separate occasions recently to talk about his life and the rise of hip-hop in South Korea. The first interview was for the March 7th face to face with rapper Snacky Chan for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod."   The second was for American rapper Dumbfoundead's March 20th (ep. 31) podcast of "Fun With Dumb." During the podcast, Dok2 provided a mini-history lesson for anyone interested in South Korean hip-hop. Beginning with his early rise, the rapper says he's been making moves in the industry since 2002 when he was 12-years-old. He told Dumbfoundead that he used to attend a school for foreigners in Busan (because of his mixed Korean, Spanish and Filipino heritage), but after 6th grade he moved to Seoul and did not return back to school (due to family financial reasons). H1GHR MUSIC Tour Recap - The Final Stop - With Jay Park In Seattle

A lot happened during the final stop of the 2018 H1GHR MUSIC tour. The Seattle, WA concert included performances of unreleased tracks, a b-boy dance break from AOM, a music video shoot in the middle of the venue, and a surprise appearance from label co-CEO Jay Park. It all went down at The Showbox on May 8th. The night started with DJ RocRyte pumping up the crowd for Ted Park, who hit the stage with melodic energy.  Woodie Gochild delivered next with "Let's Get It," -- dancing and spitting fire, even during Jay Park's verse.  Phe Reds followed, captivating everyone with a mesmerizing version of Blackstreet's "No Diggity" and his hit song "Smile." H1GHR MUSIC fans have more questions after label drops compilation single - "BRB"

H1GHR MUSIC returned with a new compilation single and visual on July 27. The title for the new song-- "BRB," is an acronym for "Be Right Back." The track produced by GroovyRoom and Cha Cha Malone, includes arstists HAON, Sik-K, TRADE L, BIG Naughty, pH-1, PARK HYEON JIN, JAY B and Jay Park.  The song includes the lyrics: "We'll meet again after looking around" and "H1GHR gang, no label, issa la familia." Fans are commenting under the official music video for the song, saying the lyrics are sad and appear to suggest an ending or hiatus.  The new release comes just days after rapper pH-1 deleted his posts on Instagram and after H1GHR MUSIC announced the departures of rapper Sik-K and GOT7 singer JAY B, after the expiration of their contracts. Sik-K had been with the label since its founding, while JAY B had been with H1GHR for just a year.  The South Korean label was founded by Jay Park and Cha Cha Malone in 2017.   Looking for a new summer jam? Check out DJ SHAUN's electric dance track, "Thinking Of" featuring rapper OVAN and singer SUMIN. The single is the title track off his first solo mini album, "TAKE." The vocal EDM artist is known for his skill with synthesizers, and is a member of the South Korean indie rock band, The KOXX (which formed in 2009). SHAUN's EP dropped on June 27, along with a music video for "Thinking Of (생각나)." The mv features two beautiful women enjoying themselves at the beach and elsewhere, and also includes OVAN on the mic. Now Listening To: JMIN - "I Know Why"

Up and coming California-based rapper JMIN released his melodic track and visual titled "I Know Why" at the end of June. While the artist is still in the early stages of his music career, he is already receiving international attention after the release of the video for his song “Spaceship” on the 'No Jumper' YouTube channel last September. According to his online profile on GENIUS , JMIN (aka Jonathan Min), is 18-years-old, and moved to Los Angeles from Florida, in the 9th grade. Check out his music and video below.
