Social media is allowing fans and artists to interact with each other like never before. While in a room in Hawaii, on Sunday, April 1, singer/rapper/co-CEO Jay Park, discovered a feature during his Instagram Live stream, which allowed him to add and connect with fans, for 'one on one' time, but in front of thousands of people peering in. Jay Park was in Hawaii for a concert, with Hoody and pH-1 happening later that night.
At almost five minutes into his livestream, we hear the Roc Nation artist say, "I've never done this before." He then says, "What, what's going on?" "Choose someone people who can see their live videos will be able to watch." He then admits, "I don't know what that means. I don't know what this is. I'm not very tech savvy so, yeah"
But then Jay eventually does add a fan and we see the entertainer on a split screen with a young woman who was surprised he added her. After a short conversation, Jay says goodbye to her, tells everyone to have a question ready, and then adds a fan from France who was caught off guard, and mentions her hair. Jay Park ups her by taking off his hat, showing his hair, and speaking French.
Their cute interaction was cut short though, by the young lady's mother. Minutes later, before signing off from the Instagram Live Stream completely, Jay Park, with a grin on his face, like a little boy with a new toy, tells everyone watching that it was fun, and that he'll have to do it again, but he had to go, to get a haircut.
Several fans have recorded and shared the Instagram Live Stream, you can find it on YouTube and Twitter.
