CONCERT WATCH: Dok2 & The Quiett In Australia This Summer

Australia are you ready for some khip-hop? According to KPOPME Entertainment, rappers Dok2 and The Quiett from Illionaire Records will be on tour in Australia this summer. KPOPME says this will be the first time for the two to tour there. You can catch them in Sydney on June 1st at Space at Shark Hotel, and in Melbourne on June 2nd, at Star Trak. Tickets go on sale on May 2nd. For more information go to illionaire.kpopme.com.

Colde (from offonoff) covers BTS song "DNA"

Colde from offonoff has dropped a cover of the hit song "DNA" from kpop group BTS. The cover has a different vibe from the upbeat electronic original dance version. Colde's take of "DNA" is more laid back, smooth and easy listening R&B. The cover was uploaded April 16, on a new YouTube channel under the name WAVY. Check it out below. Hip-Hop artist French Montana is taking fans once again back to Africa. In 2017, we got to experience the rhythm of Uganda, in his video "Unforgettable," (ft. Swae Lee).  Now for 2018, in a new video called "Famous," Montana takes us to Morocco, where he was born and raised (he moved to the U.S. when he was a teen). The visual was uploaded on January 18.  With it, we see his love for the people, the land, and the culture, including his favorite childhood sport of soccer. Montana also visits his grandmother's grave, and towards the end of the video, he takes us to an outdoor celebration, with traditional dancers and clothing. The mv is beautiful and compelling. New Music: Lil Boi - "David" with just the right Old School Feels

Mixing up the hip-hop beats with old school R&B, South Korean rapper Lil Boi returned for a two-track single release on December 7th, titled "David." Lil Boi, a member of the duo Geeks, is managed under Grandline Entertainment. His new release consist of the tracks, "Go" and "David," (featuring Kim E-Z), which the latter track begins with a piano melody on love, but then switches the beat for a bounce flow. According to the agency, "David" is a prologue to the rapper's upcoming first full-length album; "Meantime," but the track "Go" will not be on it. Many Show Me The Money fans may remember Lil Boi from season four in 2015, as a contestant with team AOMG, with Jay Park and Loco as producers/judges and Geegooin, Sik-K and David Kim as team members. The Spanish lyrics are explicit when translated into English, but this Latin Trap remix is so alluring, that you just can't help but to groove to it. Hip-hop artist Khea, from Argentina, dropped his "Loca" remix video featuring Bad Bunny, Duki and Cazzu back in April, and it currently has more than 173-million views on YouTube. The track, with its repetitive beat is about a "crazy" woman on social media, but towards the end of it, we hear the seductive female response from Argentine rapper Cazzu. Korean Hip-Hop : The Next Generation: Jo Woo Chan, Park Hyun Jin & Achillo - “OGZ”

While fans of khip-hop were waiting for the latest release from their already established favorite artists, three young rising rappers, dropped a music video on January 5, and blew everyone away. The next generation to represent Korean Hip-Hop, consists of trainees Jo Woo Chan, Park Hyun Jin and Achillo.  Jo Woo Chan is with Cube Entertainment and participated in Show Me The Money 6. Park Hyun Jin is from Starship Entertainment and won K-Pop Star 6 (with Kim Jong-seob as part of the duo Boyfriend). ACHILLO is also with Starship. Together the three have collaborated on the track “OGZ” (Produced by H1GHR MUSIC’s GroovyRoom), for the “OG SCHOOL PROJECT.” According to 1theK, “OGZ” comes from 'OG' Original Gangster (a respected artist who has been around for years, in the hip hop community), and the new Korean term 'Ojida' which means brilliant and talented. Has Jay Park come full circle with upcoming AOMG Audition Program "Sign Here" on MBN?

He has shared his story hundreds of times. CEO Jay Park got his start in the music industry after auditioning in Seattle as a teen to join JYP, one of the largest entertainment companies in South Korea. According to online sources, after being accepted, Park trained in South Korea as part of a kpop group known as One Day. Part of the group's training was broadcast as a reality survival documentary show on MNET called Hot Blood . After the show, One Day was split into two separate groups-- 2AM and 2PM. Via fan votes, Park became the leader of 2PM. 2PM debuted with the song "10 Out of 10" in 2008. But by 2010, Park was officially out of the group, and back home in Seattle. Fast forward to today, and Jay Park is signed to Roc Nation and has founded his own entertainment companies; hip-hop labels AOMG and H1GHR MUSIC, and he is now currently launching an AOMG audition program called "Sign Here" on MBN. Jitomo and Lil Cherry leave WEDAPLUGG RECORDS

Just a month after the release of her video "Mona Lisa," featuring Jito Mo, for Wedaplugg Records-- trap artist Lil Cherry and fellow artist Jitomo, are now both out from the label. We Da Plugg Records, run by South Korean rappers Giriboy and Swings, announced the departure on social media on Nov. 16. Artists who are still with the label are: Jhnovr, YUNHWAY and producer sAewoo. This is an announcement from We Da Plugg. Jitomo and Lil Cherry will no longer be a part of the label. Although we were disconcerted from the sudden news, both had reasons to leave and we send them in peace. Nevertheless, the agenda for We Da Plugg will not change. We sincerely thank our fans and supporters.
