NEW VIDEO DROP: Eric Nam Dances To A Latin Beat in "Potion" (feat. Woodie Gochild) MV

Kpop star Eric Nam has released a Latin-inspired music video for his song "Potion" from his upcoming album "Honestly."  The track features rapper Woodie Gochild (from H1GHR MUSIC).

The music video below (released on April 9th), shows us a drunk Eric at a bar, then singing in a smooth voice, and dancing (including later with Woodie Gochild's quick flow) to a Latin beat, about being "young and wild." The song sounds like it was made to dance salsa to. The visuals for the mv show us images from perhaps Mexico.

The album "Honestly" drops on April 11, at 6 p.m. (KST). It's Eric Nam's third mini album, and the first in two years. According to a schedule shared on social media, there will also be a music video for the title track.

Meanwhile as we have previously reported, the entertainer is gearing up for a U.S. tour. The Korean-American singer (born in Atlanta) will be live in concert in 14 cities, with opening guest Loote starting in June in Los Angeles. Tickets are on sale right now at www.ericnam.com.

South Korean rapper The Quiett rides out in a Bentley in final 1LLIONAIRE RECORDS release - "BENTLEY 2"

With his laid-back 90s rap flow and braggadocious lyrics, rapper The Quiett is one of the smoothest artists in hip-hop. He is also the co-founder, with rapper Dok2, of one of the most influential record companies in South Korea. Both are part of a group of legends responsible for putting South Korean hip-hop on the map. Their label - 1LLIONAIRE RECORDS, was established in January 2011. They added rapper Beenzino later that year. In 2016, the two established a second label, of younger up-and-coming artists called Ambition Musik. The co-CEOs also toured the United States in 2016, and in 2017, putting on great high energy performances. INLet'sGo! caught their 2016 stop in Atlanta.  On November 11, 2020, The Quiett dropped his last double single under 1LLIONAIRE RECORDS, marking the last 1LLIONAIRE DAY (of new music drops), and the final project for the company. Song of The Day: Villain's LIVE Video for "A Piece Of Work"

by Nefertiti Jenkins The fifth track on  Villain's first mini album is soul piercing, mesmerizing and beautiful. When you hear "A Piece Of Work" on the new "Bank Robber" EP, it will move you. The mostly hip-hop album dropped with an official music video for title track "Manitto," on August 1st with Planetarium Records. A second visual display of Villain's falsetto vocal range was uploaded days later, on August 3rd, as a live performance of "A Piece Of Work." Unlike other tracks on the album, which include lyrics in English and Korean, "A Piece Of Work" is a ballad and is almost entirely in Korean. According to translated subtitles of the Behind The Scenes video for "Bank Robber," the artist says the song is about having been in love with someone for a long time, without others (or that person) knowing. Even the scribbles on the wall are starting to fade too. I didn't erase it. The time passes by too much....

Rapper Dok2 talks about working with Jay Park and G-Dragon (from BIGBANG) in Ep. 31 of "Fun With Dumb"

Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Lucky for fans, the rapper sat down on two separate occasions recently to talk about his life and the rise of hip-hop in South Korea. The first interview was for the March 7th face to face with rapper Snacky Chan for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod."   The second was for American rapper Dumbfoundead's March 20th (ep. 31) podcast of "Fun With Dumb." During the podcast, Dok2 provided a mini-history lesson for anyone interested in South Korean hip-hop. Beginning with his early rise, the rapper says he's been making moves in the industry since 2002 when he was 12-years-old. He told Dumbfoundead that he used to attend a school for foreigners in Busan (because of his mixed Korean, Spanish and Filipino heritage), but after 6th grade he moved to Seoul and did not return back to school (due to family financial reasons). He says he started...
