R&B and Soul Singer Tamaraebi drops Smoky Visual for "Hey Hey Hey"


Fresh off the release of his new EP "Heaven’s Gate," Nigerian-born UK based Soul and R&B singer Tamaraebi is back with a new visual. The artist released a dark and smoky official music video on December 19, for his song from the mini-album, titled "Hey Hey Hey."

The groovy track dropped as a single back in October-- a month before the release of his EP. Check out the new visual below.

Fans still have questions about ECÂF after the release of Ruel's new single & MV - "Face To Face"

Rapper Dok2 talks about working with Jay Park and G-Dragon (from BIGBANG) in Ep. 31 of "Fun With Dumb"

Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Lucky for fans, the rapper sat down on two separate occasions recently to talk about his life and the rise of hip-hop in South Korea. The first interview was for the March 7th face to face with rapper Snacky Chan for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod."   The second was for American rapper Dumbfoundead's March 20th (ep. 31) podcast of "Fun With Dumb." During the podcast, Dok2 provided a mini-history lesson for anyone interested in South Korean hip-hop. NEW NAME FOR BTS MEMBER (formerly Rap Monster)

The leader of the super popular kpop group BTS, from South Korea, has officially changed his name. Kim Nam-joon previously known as Rap Monster, has changed his stage name to RM. The announcement was published on the BTS official fan cafe on November 13.  RM wrote on it, that although he's been called Rap Monster for the past five years, he felt the need to change it, because that title was   getting more and more distant from the music done for the past 5 years.                                                                    -RM (via allkpop)    Back on September 19, 2017, Rap Monster announced on his Beats1Noisey Interview that he would be changing his name to RM. South African singer-songwriter Tyla is one of the hottest rising stars of 2023. She's currently taking over social media with her TikTok viral dance challenge from her latest single- “Water.” The song hit streaming sites in July. The official music video arrived on YouTube on October 6. It's currently (as of this writing) trending #26 on the site with nearly 13 million views.  According to Billboard, “Water” has also climbed to #1 on Billboard’s U.S. Afrobeats Songs Chart, dated Oct. 21-- stopping the record 58-week streak from Rema and Selena Gomez’s “Calm Down,” which had led the list since Sept. 10, 2022. “Water” marks Tyla's first top spot on any Billboard chart.  The 21-year-old Johannesburg native debuted with her first music video: "Getting Late," featuring Kooldrink in 2021. Returning with raspy vocals on a fast-tempo old school funky groove, English singer Samm Henshaw dropped a new track on August 15, titled "The World Is Mine." Kris Wu and Jhené Aiko sing in outer space in New Music Video for "Freedom"

Kris Wu and Jhené Aiko have gone 'where no couple have gone before,' in their new music video for his latest single "Freedom." The track (featuring Jhené Aiko) was released in mid-September, but the official MV hit YouTube late on October 8. The video begins with the hip-hop and R&B artists in space suits, floating in outer space as they sing "You could have been anywhere in the world, but you're here with me." And then it takes a dramatic turn of separation, with the lyrics; "I had her pillow talking and she told me she just want a little freedom." Check out the video below. The single is off Wu's upcoming debut album with Interscope Records/Universal Music. And if you want to see more of him, the Chinese-Canadian entertainer is expected to hit the red carpet, October 9th, at the American Music Awards show on ABC.

New Music & MV: Hitting up Loco and GRAY for a "Late Night"

It's three in the morning at AOMG in South Korea, and hip hop producer artist GRAY and rapper Loco, are ready to hit up some people for a "Late Night." The two labelmates dropped the official music video for their new track, "Late Night," on November 28. It's fun and colorful, and includes cameos from fellow labelmates Woo Won Jae, CODE KUNST, ELO and DJ Wegun. The release comes after the recent announcement that Loco will join the military in February, as a conscripted policeman. According to the Korea Herald ... Loco will enlist in the military on Feb. 7, 2019, according to AOMG. The rapper will receive basic military training at the Korea Army Training Center in Nonsan, South Chungcheong Province, for five weeks, and continue his service at a local police station. This year was different: 2023 Lexington, KY Roots & Heritage Festival Parade, Band Performances & Fashion Show

Showcasing Kentucky's African American culture and traditions, the 2023 Lexington, KY Roots & Heritage Festival kicked off Friday night, September 8, with live performances on the main stage on Elm Tree Lane.  It continued Saturday morning with the annual parade and band performances. It included Simmons College (an HBCU) and Central High School marching bands from Louisville.  The "Battle of the Bands" after the parade was moved from the corner of Fourth street and Elm Tree Lane to Third Street and Elm Tree Lane, near the historic Lyric Theatre. New this year, a fashion show outside the theater. The show included pieces from up-and-coming local designers. The festival wrapped on Sunday, September 10. Thousands of people attended the weekend event.
