Rapper Dok2 talks about working with Jay Park and G-Dragon (from BIGBANG) in Ep. 31 of "Fun With Dumb"

Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Lucky for fans, the rapper sat down on two separate occasions recently to talk about his life and the rise of hip-hop in South Korea. The first interview was for the March 7th face to face with rapper Snacky Chan for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod." The second was for American rapper Dumbfoundead's March 20th (ep. 31) podcast of "Fun With Dumb." During the podcast, Dok2 provided a mini-history lesson for anyone interested in South Korean hip-hop. Beginning with his early rise, the rapper says he's been making moves in the industry since 2002 when he was 12-years-old. In a video dedicated to Michael Jackson, American singer Jason Derulo teamed up with South Korean SM Entertainment kpop idols-- NCT 127 and LAY (from kpop group EXO). The collaboration for "Let's Shut Up and Dance" hit YouTube on February 21st, and the single hit music streaming sites on the 22nd. The song is the first single off a four-track EP titled "The Greatest Dancer," dedicated to the late King of Pop. According to the The Korea Times , the mini-album will be released on June 25, which marks the 10th anniversary of Jackson's death. An eccentric collaboration between Romanian singer INNA, and Vinka from Uganda. The two released their colorful official music video with moves from a subway train, for their song "Bebe" on November 4th. Inna is known for her 2008 breakout hit "Hot." NEW NAME FOR BTS MEMBER (formerly Rap Monster)

The leader of the super popular kpop group BTS, from South Korea, has officially changed his name. Kim Nam-joon previously known as Rap Monster, has changed his stage name to RM. The announcement was published on the BTS official fan cafe on November 13. Just Jerk Crew Performs During Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony

We're only two months in, and 2018 has already been a good year for Just Jerk Crew. They are the featured backup dancers in the official music video for Jay Park and Yultron's "Forget About Tomorrow," and they just recently announced the opening of their new dance academy in South Korea. The popular urban dance team from Seoul, has been making moves together since 2010, and has even competed on America's Got Talent, season 12. Now, the group is getting even more international recognition, after performing live during the Opening Ceremony for the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang. Seattle Rapper Avatar Darko, has officially signed with hip-hop label H1GHR MUSIC. The CEOs, Jay Park and Cha Cha Malone, posted the official video on June 5th, to social media of Avatar signing the contract, and receiving his H1GHR MUSIC gold chain. Worth Watching: "Bleach" - A Live-Action Anime Adaptation Movie on Netflix

It's based on the manga and anime series of the same name. The acting is good, and the action is great. Even if you're not familiar with the series, you'll still enjoy the movie. According to the official synopsis, the film is about... Ichigo Kurosaki, a High School student, living in Karakura. He is able to see ghosts, as well as hollows.
