MKIT RAIN Rapper Nafla Drops Groovy New Album - "u n u part. 1"


Chill vibes with groovy funk and jazz undertones for MKIT RAIN rapper (and singer) Nafla. The artist released his album "u n u part. 1" on January 6th. It features labelmate Owen and AOMG's singer Hoody. The drop also includes visuals from The Cut for title song "Gucci Girl," as well as for "Love Me," (feat. Hoody).

NEW MUSIC & MV: INNA x Vinka - "Bebe"

An eccentric collaboration between Romanian singer INNA, and Vinka from Uganda. The two released their colorful official music video with moves from a subway train, for their song "Bebe" on November 4th. Inna is known for her 2008 breakout hit "Hot." Jay Park Adds and Interacts With Fans on Instagram Live Before Hawaii Concert

Social media is allowing fans and artists to interact with each other like never before. While in a room in Hawaii, on Sunday, April 1, singer/rapper/co-CEO Jay Park, discovered a feature during his Instagram Live stream, which allowed him to add and connect with fans, for 'one on one' time, but in front of thousands of people peering in. Jay Park was in Hawaii for a concert, with Hoody and pH-1 happening later that night.  At almost five minutes into his livestream, we hear the Roc Nation artist say, "I've never done this before." CONCERT WATCH: Flowsik in Europe This Summer

After back to back collaborations with rapper/singer Jessi, Korean-American rapper Flowsik is hitting the road, and going on a mini-tour in Europe. The tour is presented by the kpop party crew, Young Bros, and kicks off June 1st in Amsterdam. Meanwhile his two releases with Korean-American star Jessi, are doing well. The feel good song "All I Need," dropped on March 31, and Flowsik and Jessi have promoted the track on Korean music shows. The second release, "Wet," dropped on April 4, and the sexy visual for it, has more than a million views on YouTube. A lot of people were first introduced to (Jay Pak) Flowsik with the release of the melodic quick flow of the "The Calling," and then with his part on "EUNG FREESTYLE," the viral rap track, he collaborated on with other heavy hitters such as LIVE, Sik-K, Punchnello and Owen Ovadoz. Just Jerk Crew Performs During Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony

We're only two months in, and 2018 has already been a good year for Just Jerk Crew. They are the featured backup dancers in the official music video for Jay Park and Yultron's "Forget About Tomorrow," and they just recently announced the opening of their new dance academy in South Korea. The popular urban dance team from Seoul, has been making moves together since 2010, and has even competed on America's Got Talent, season 12. Now, the group is getting even more international recognition, after performing live during the Opening Ceremony for the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang. The group has shared a clip of the performance on Instagram, and some of the members have even shared behind the scenes group photos. South Korean Hip-Hop Label Hi-Lite Records Disbands after 12 Years

Another loss for the hip-hop industry in South Korea. On April 20, Hi-Lite Records founder and former CEO Paloalto announced the disbandment of the label during his Instagram Live. Paloalto created the company in 2010. He stepped down as CEO in 2020 , but remained on as a recording artist. The label was most recently home to other artists such as Reddy, Huckleberry P, Swervy, Owell Mood, Soovi, jerd and Ash-B.  Hi-Lite Records posted a statement on its social media platforms following Paloalto's announcement saying in part...  "As many of you heard through Paloalto’s Instagram Live, we have decided to officially disband the Hi-Lite Records label. A number of different situations and circumstances led to this decision. Above all, know that this decision was made to ensure the best possible future for our artists and employees." KHip-Hop Concerts In Europe - Penomeco, Punchnello and Millic

The Cult of Ya has done it again. In early February (2018) they were responsible for bringing Jay Park, Sik-K, Hoody and DJ Wegun to London. Last year they were behind shows with even more South Korean artists, like DPR LIVE, Dean and Zion.T. Now, The Cult of Ya has a new khip-hop treat for European fans. On Feb. 23, The Cult of Ya announced it would be bringing Penomeco, Punchnello and Millic (representing Fanxychild and Club Eskimo crews) to Europe. The three will be in London on May 13 and in Paris on May 14. Tickets go on sale Sunday, Feb. 25 at noon local time. For more information check out The Cult of Ya website here. Rapper Dok2 talks about working with Jay Park and G-Dragon (from BIGBANG) in Ep. 31 of "Fun With Dumb"

Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Lucky for fans, the rapper sat down on two separate occasions recently to talk about his life and the rise of hip-hop in South Korea. The first interview was for the March 7th face to face with rapper Snacky Chan for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod."   The second was for American rapper Dumbfoundead's March 20th (ep. 31) podcast of "Fun With Dumb." During the podcast, Dok2 provided a mini-history lesson for anyone interested in South Korean hip-hop. Beginning with his early rise, the rapper says he's been making moves in the industry since 2002 when he was 12-years-old. He told Dumbfoundead that he used to attend a school for foreigners in Busan (because of his mixed Korean, Spanish and Filipino heritage), but after 6th grade he moved to Seoul and did not return back to school (due to family financial reasons). Fans have been looking for this since October of 2017 , when the hip-hop label H1GHR MUSIC, first announced that they were going to have a 2018 North America Tour.  Thousands of people have been waiting patiently to hear more details about the concert stops for CEOs Jay Park and Cha Cha Malone and their H1GHR MUSIC artists.
