BIG Naughty drops First Single under H1GHR MUSIC - "Where It All Started Remix" feat. Verbal Jint & Beenzino


BIG Naughty is making a big impression, in his first release under hip-hop label H1GHR MUSIC. The up and coming South Korean singer/rapper dropped his "Where It All Started Remix," featuring rappers Verbal Jint and Beenzino on November 21.

The remix is actually of Verbal Jint's song "시발점," featuring Beenzino from his 2015 "GO HARD, Pt. 1" album. You can find both versions now on streaming sites.

Music fans first heard that BIG Naughty had joined H1GHR MUSIC on October 6th, during the 2019 Off Route Fest in South Korea. He's now the youngest artist with the label. His growing rise to fame includes competing on season 8 of Show Me The Money. You can see more of him by watching his Vlog, showing his interaction at school, on the H1GHR MUSIC YouTube channel.

Rapper Dok2 talks about working with Jay Park and G-Dragon (from BIGBANG) in Ep. 31 of "Fun With Dumb"

Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Lucky for fans, the rapper sat down on two separate occasions recently to talk about his life and the rise of hip-hop in South Korea. The first interview was for the March 7th face to face with rapper Snacky Chan for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod."   The second was for American rapper Dumbfoundead's March 20th (ep. 31) podcast of "Fun With Dumb." During the podcast, Dok2 provided a mini-history lesson for anyone interested in South Korean hip-hop. Crush Drops New MV ("Be By My Side") With Earth, Wind & Fire Sample

Korean R&B singer Crush, has dropped his latest music video. It's called "Be By My Side," and it samples the soul, disco and funk band Earth, Wind & Fire. According to the description under the upload on the Amoeba Culture official YouTube Channel, Crush received permission to use the "Brazilian Rhyme" sample. Bruno Mars shares Behind the Scenes clip from the Making of "24K Magic"

Bruno Mars has shared a never before seen clip of the making of "24K Magic," the title track and lead single from his third studio album (of the same name). On June 27, the singer uploaded video on Twitter and Instagram, and wrote that he found it in his cell phone.  The video shows producer Brody Brown and Mars trying to figure out the groove for "24k Magic" in 2015. According to Bruno Mars, they tried nearly 100 different patterns and pockets to finally land what we hear today (a Zapp & Roger inspired track). Jay Park Announces new H1GHR MUSIC Artist - Seo Donghyun a.k.a. Big Naughty

During the second and final day of his 2019  Off Route Fest in South Korea, co-CEO/entertainer Jay Park announced the newest member of his second label- H1GHR MUSIC, as rapper/singer Seo Donghyun a.k.a. Big Naughty. Park introduced the young artist on stage, on Oct. 6, in front of a crowd of thousands of people at the music festival, and later posted video of the moment to Instagram. According to Park, Donghyun is now the youngest member of the label (previously that title went to rapper Haon). Big Naughty was a contestant on season eight of the popular South Korean rap competition program - Show Me The Money (SMTM). He was eliminated in the semi-finals. Drake Praises Dumbfoundead in "Bad Rap" (Now on Netflix)

Before artist and battle rapper Dumbfoundead released his hot "We Might Die" album, or dropped the popular music videos for the tracks 'SAFE' and 'Harambe,' and the catchy but freaky visual for 'Water,' Dumbfoundead was sitting down with producer and director Salima Koroma and co-producer Jaeki Cho for a documentary with three of his friends called "Bad Rap." It premiered last year at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival, but was just recently uploaded on Netflix. The documentary walks us through the journey he and fellow Asian-American artists Awkwafina, Lyricks and Rekstizzy were on, to break into the larger American hip-hop scene, as they navigated through the waters of culture appropriation (from the African-American community) and originality. Song of The Day: Kiana Ledé - "Take It All"

Showing her vocal range as an R&B artist, singer Kiana Ledé released "Take It All" on July 13, as one of seven songs on her new EP "Selfless." "Take It All" stands out on the mini album. The mostly acoustic track connects on an emotional level of maturity, which makes it today's Song of The Day. The 21-year-old artist has been active since she was a child, after winning a  Kidz Bop's Kidz Star USA talent competition in 2011.
