According to online reports, martial arts icon Bruce Lee, died on July 20, 1973. He was only 32-years-old. On July 21, 2018, forty-five years later, one day after the anniversary of his death, two rappers from China, Al Rocco and Jackson Wang, drop a music video of their track, titled after the legendary fighter.
Wang, currently on tour with his kpop group GOT7, raps in English. Al Rocco spits bars in both Chinese and English. The single dropped the week before on July 14. The music video follows a teen who's been bullied, but learns kung fu with the help of Rocco.
Rocco and Wang say their track "expresses the strength of the Chinese people." The song and visual pay tribute to Bruce Lee, and are also a reminder of the global impact of the Chinese Culture and Martial Arts. Check out the video now for "Bruce Lee" below.
