Song Of The Day: TREI - "Easy"

The song "Easy" from TREI (TRiNiTiOPUS) dropped on the '1theK' YouTube channel, on July 26. It's an R&B mix with the sweet voice of Jaejun and Changhyun rapping. It shows the two mainly walking around and dancing. But as simple as the video is, the song in itself is pretty tight. Get to know them better... Facebook : https://www.facebook.com/pg/TRiNiTiOP... New Music Monday & Song Of The Day: [MV] OFFONOFF - 춤 "DANCE"

A lot of good music was released on Monday, July 24. Groovy Room dropped their EP 'EVERYWHERE,' including the track 'Sunday' with Jay Park and Heize. 88rising dropped a song on their YouTube channel, "TURN ME DOWN" from Jess Connelly, writing that the soulful singer is heating up the Manila underground. Also released today,  the duo OFFONOFF dropped their album "boy" along with two music videos on YouTube, 'Gold' with Dean, and 'Dance.' The track 'Dance' is today's Song Of The Day. The music video for it starts off pretty ordinary, maybe a little slow, with a group of guys hanging out outside a store (or restaurant), drinking and smoking. But then it expands to OFFONOFF inside the store on the mic and on keys, belting out a sweet, catchy jazzy sound. Late at night I think of you. Baby late at night, I think of you. Late at night I think of you, baby late at night I think of you. And once inside, we get to see th...

"Girls Trip" A Must See In Theaters

Get ready for a good laugh. The raunchy adventure "Girls Trip" opened in movie theaters nationwide on Friday, July 21. It's the story of four friends from college, who re-unite for a wild ride in New Orleans, during the Essence Music Festival. It stars Jada Pinkett Smith, Queen Latifah, Regina Hall and Tiffany Haddish. Haddish's performance will have you in tears, with her lines and facial expressions. She plays the girlfriend most of us had back in high school and college, who was loud, not afraid to speak her mind, and who always had your back. For anyone who came of age during the 90s, this film is a throwback to the good times of clubbing, hanging out with your girls, and dancing and jamming to good music. We're reminded of the history Queen Latifah and Jada Pinkett Smith have from the 1996 hit film "Set It Off." We get a "Love Jones" vibe, with the appearance in "Girls Trip" by Larenz Tate, as the musician Julian. And we see ...

Preview: The Film "GOOK" - African-Americans & Korean-Americans During The L.A. Riots

By Nefertiti Jenkins A second trailer for the film "Gook" has just been released. The movie is about two Korean-American brothers who own a shoe store, and a young African-American girl during the 1992 riots in Los Angeles, after the Rodney King beating verdict.  The film is directed by Korean-American filmmaker and actor Justin Chon, who stars in it along with David So and Simone Baker. According to Chon, in 1992, he was 10-years-old when the Rodney King verdict ignited the Los Angeles Riots. On the final day of the riots, his father's shoe store in Paramount, CA was looted. Although he was too young to fully understand everything that was happening, the events from that day had a significant impact on him. He says that for many years, he felt that there was a need for a film to represent the 1992 riots and the Korean-American experience during that time, and that's why he felt he had to make the movie. Justin Chon's "Gook" was the win...

Track Drop: B-Free and his Final Destination

He's controversial like Kanye, but when you listen to his music, it's real and speaks of the hardships and truths of his own life story and the people around him. Korean rapper B-Free has just dropped a new single, called "Final Destination." It's in Korean and English, like a lot of his music. It's intense, but it's good, especially if you need something to listen to, to get hyped. It also sounds like it would be perfect on a "Fast and Furious" movie soundtrack. Racing, racing, racing to my final destination.... Feel like nobody can stop me..... Yeah I been grinding the whole week. Yeah I been grinding the whole year. Yeah I been grinding my whole life..... All about was my dollars, Now getting nothing but dollars. We ain't got nothing in common.... Feel like I'm on auto pilot.... On my mother fuckin high horse.... A Review of "All My Crew," Bumping and Grinding with Jay Park and Avatar Darko

Jay Park and Cha Cha Malone's party has spilled over from Seoul into Seattle. In the first H1GHR MUSIC music video, for their artist Avatar Darko, the scene for "All My Crew" opens to legs on the dance floor, to people bumpin, a guy holding a bottle of alcohol, and then girls grinding. The party is clearly happening here, with Avatar Darko and Jay Park right up in the middle of it with their flow and surrounded by women, and a few of the other members of the H1GHR MUSIC crew including Raz Simone and Jarv Dee. The video is pretty ratchet. And maybe a little x-rated for anyone under 18, but no denying it, Avatar Darko sounds good rapping about a girl who slept on him, and Jay Park shows off his skills, dissing with lines like "I sold out shows, you sold your soul." And then extra visuals, besides the booty, includes guys in bear suits fighting with giant boxing gloves, a man in green face, and a Donald Trump piñata. The scene is crazy, but makes for one...

Jay Park Reassures Fans after NBA Facebook Post

The struggle is real 😂😂 #aomg #h1ghrmusic #followthemovement A post shared by $hway BUM Park 박재범 (@jparkitrighthere) on Jun 11, 2017 at 7:27am PDT On Saturday, June 10, at four in the morning, the NBA posted a picture on their Facebook page of hip-hop and R&B Korean-American artist, dancer/CEO, Jay Park, and the internet went crazy. The negativity and vitriol lasted for hundreds of comments in, with Jay Park fans, stepping up to defend him, and inform them, about their beloved star. The post on Sunday evening, June 11, had 2,185 comments and 1,178 shares. The music video is sexy, and it's just one of several music videos released recently, on the DPR LIVE / Dream Perfect Regime YouTube channel , in advance of the release of the debut EP, "Coming To You Live." The album is straight up Hip-Hop and R&B and features some of the best from the Korean scene, with songs featuring Crush, Dean, G2 and Dumbfoundead. SONG OF THE DAY: San E "Counselor" (카운셀러)

If you feel like you're about to go over the edge of sanity, then you might be able to relate to Korean rapper San E, and his new music video, "Counselor." The video appears to be an inside look at the psychological demons he might be facing, including thoughts of self doubt, drugs and alcohol. He also shows us recorded counseling sessions, which may or may not be helping. Regardless of his level of crazy in this video, he's still spitting fire. Check it out...

Dumbfoundead Drops New Video ft. Too $hort

Get ready to blush. Dumbfoundead has dropped an x-rated video with Too $hort for their song “Cochino” from the "WE MIGHT DIE" album. Check out the video here...

For example, Too $hort and Dumbfoundead on "Cochino," and Jay Park and Raz Simone on "Afraid of Me." Back in November (2016), World Star Hip Hop uploaded "Dirty Jersey" from Asian-American rapper Shotta Spence (Spence Lee) featuring 732 Cash (Ear Drummers). The music video has more than a million views on YouTube. Check it out below.  The 21-year-old is from New Jersey and is associated with Rae Sremmurd and Mike WiLL Made-It.
