July has been a busy month for hip-hop summer music releases (out of Seoul, South Korea), and there are even more hit songs on the way.

Mark your calendars, for Dayday and his EP, "All Day Every Day" with Gray and Jay Park featured on Track 3. It's out on July 22nd at 6PM, (KST).

On July 24th, at 6PM (KST), music producing team GroovyRoom (Hwimin Lee & Gyujeong Park) will be dropping an EP called "EVERYWHERE". A track from the album, called "XINDOSHI" drops two days before on the 22nd at 6PM, on the official H1GHR MUSIC YouTube channel. Here's the music video teaser for it...





The debut album for R&B duo OffOnOff, called "boy" also drops on July 24th at 6PM (KST). It's coming from HIGHGRND, and features collaborations with DEAN, Tablo, Miso, Punchnello, and Rad Museum.

Rapper Dok2 talks about working with Jay Park and G-Dragon (from BIGBANG) in Ep. 31 of "Fun With Dumb"

Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Lucky for fans, the rapper sat down on two separate occasions recently to talk about his life and the rise of hip-hop in South Korea. The first interview was for the March 7th face to face with rapper Snacky Chan for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod."   The second was for American rapper Dumbfoundead's March 20th (ep. 31) podcast of "Fun With Dumb." During the podcast, Dok2 provided a mini-history lesson for anyone interested in South Korean hip-hop. Beginning with his early rise, the rapper says he's been making moves in the industry since 2002 when he was 12-years-old. Song of the Day: PREP - "Don't Look Back" feat. Shownu & So!YoON!

Ahead of their upcoming international tour, London band PREP, is dropping their third EP, Line by Line, on Friday, November 9th. As a pre-release, the band dropped the lead single from the project on October 25th, titled "Don't Look Back." On it, the London four piece are assisted by Shownu, lead singer from kpop group Monsta X, and by So!YoON!, of Korean indie band Se So Neon. Known for their butter-smooth productions, the musicians deliver woozy, after-hours groove on "Don't Look Back," with a smooth guest verse from Shownu along with So!YoON!'s classy guitar. Rapper Dok2 talks about his personal life and South Korean hip-hop - in English ("Kill Bill") interview with Snacky Chan for "Undergod"

On the March 7th episode of ' Target: Billboard - Kill Bill,' legendary rapper Dok2 brought a number of notable Korean (and Korean-American) rappers out on stage with him to perform his latest song. The show ' Kill Bill'  is an MBC hip-hop survival program which aims to put a South Korean hip-hop artist on the Billboard charts with a collaboration with DJ Khaled. Artists who hit the stage with Dok2 during this episode were Snacky Chan, Changmo, Double K, Deepflow, Los, Young B, Pyunny, Keem Hyo-Eun, Junoflo and Nucksal. After the show, Dok2 and Snacky Chan went backstage to record an interview for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod." During their one on one, Dok2 compares hip-hop styles of trap and boom bap. SZA to co-headline Jack Harlow's new Gazebo music festival in Louisville

Kentucky rapper Jack Harlow is once again going big, this time with the launch of a new music festival in his hometown of Louisville.  Harlow will co-headline his new two-day Gazebo Festival with grammy-award-winning singer SZA. A total of 26 acts on two stages are also a part of the lineup, including James Blake, Omar Apollo, PinkPantheress and Vince Staples. The event will also highlight Louisville's local food and culture. The festival will take place on May 25 and 26 at Louisville’s Waterfront Park on River Road. A Gazebo mobile app will be available in the app store closer to the festival dates. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will go to non-profit organizations through the Jack Harlow Foundation. Just Jerk Crew Performs During Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony

We're only two months in, and 2018 has already been a good year for Just Jerk Crew. They are the featured backup dancers in the official music video for Jay Park and Yultron's "Forget About Tomorrow," and they just recently announced the opening of their new dance academy in South Korea. The popular urban dance team from Seoul, has been making moves together since 2010, and has even competed on America's Got Talent, season 12. Now, the group is getting even more international recognition, after performing live during the Opening Ceremony for the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang. The group has shared a clip of the performance on Instagram, and some of the members have even shared behind the scenes group photos. YUMDDA's "Breathe 3," The First Project for New South Korean Hip-Hop Label Daytona Entertainment with The Quiett

Just days after announcing the formation of Daytona Entertainment with The Quiett, rapper Yumdda dropped the first project under the new label titled "Breathe 3." The album is part three of his "Breathe" album series, which began with part one in 2016 and part two in 2019. The new music vibes with the melodic flow that the South Korean artist is known for. It hit streaming sites on November 28, with a visual for the track "Hanadoo" featuring R&B singer Zion.T.  Yumdda and The Quiett introduced their Daytona Entertainment label two weeks after The Quiett dropped the final music for the now defunct (but still legendary) 1llionaire Records, the label he co-founded with Dok2 in 2011. The Quiett's double single project, "BENTLEY 2," featuring Yumdda, hit streaming sites on November 11. The announcement of their new label rolled out on November 25. New Video Drop: Rich Brian raps to an ex-girlfriend about their "History" in his latest visual

88rising artist Brian Imanuel (a.k.a. Rich Brian) has just dropped the official music video for his track "History." In the visual released on October 10, he raps to an ex-girlfriend at a party about what could've been for them, as he tries to get her back. The Indonesian (born) rapper, co-directed his new music video with James Defina. The self-produced track originally hit streaming sites as part of the 88rising collective album "Head in the Clouds," back in July. Check out the video below. Rich Brian can also be seen on the First We Feast series "Feast Mansion" with labelmate Joji, and is currently on a North America tour with 88rising. Former 'K-pop Star 5' Singer - Lexie Liu - Now Signed with 88rising

U.S. media company, 88rising, announced a new addition to their label on June 19, with a tweet that read, "Introducing Lexie Liu Boxin to the 88rising gang." The tweet included a link to Lexie Liu's new video, "Like A Mercedes," which dropped on the 88rising YouTube channel. The 19-year-old singer-songwriter from China, might be a familiar face for some kpop fans. According to media reports, in 2015, she participated in K-pop Star 5 , a South Korean competition show, where agencies hold auditions to find potential kpop stars. She came in fourth place, and was offered a deal with one of the largest entertainment companies in South Korea, YG Entertainment, but she later declined. The singer's debut single and mv for 88rising, "Like A Mercedes," centers around a cyberpunk virtual reality storyline, with R&B and melodic hip-hop sounds in English and Chinese. R&B singer J Dep dropped his soulful song "Cambodian Queen" back in March as part of a double single, which includes the track "Down." The official music video for "Cambodian Queen" was released on June 1st. The artist wrote a few words about the song on Instagram at the time of its release... One time for the culture!
