Jay Park Reassures Fans after NBA Facebook Post

A post shared by $hway BUM Park 박재범 (@jparkitrighthere) on

On Saturday, June 10, at four in the morning, the NBA posted a picture on their Facebook page of hip-hop and R&B Korean-American artist, dancer/CEO, Jay Park, and the internet went crazy. With people asking the question, "Who is Jay Park?" in the comment section, and writing racist comments about him, and even calling him a "bandwagon Asian fan" because of the Cleveland Cavaliers jersey shirt he was wearing in the picture. The negativity and vitriol lasted for hundreds of comments in, with Jay Park fans, stepping up to defend him, and inform them, about their beloved star. The post on Sunday evening, June 11, had 2,185 comments and 1,178 shares. The picture (with the caption "Jay Park in the house for Game 4 of the NBA Finals in Cleveland!") was posted after the game between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors.

On Sunday morning, Park reassured fans that everything was okay in a series of instagram posts and tweets, including one that said:
"Thank yall for all the support tho real shit. AOMG H1GHR MUSIC wishes yall success and happiness 😎✌️️ God Bless."

In Cleveland with Jay Park were DJ Pumkin and rapper Loco from Park's AOMG label.

Jay Park, a model for NBA Style, just recently signed two new people to his second label H1GHR MUSIC (co-founded with Cha Cha Malone). They are singer G.Soul and Thurxday. G.Soul had previously been signed with JYP, the same entertainment company that Park once belonged to as a teen, as a member of the kpop group 2PM.

Now 30-years-old, the kpop idol days are far behind him, and Park is making moves across the seas, from Seattle to Seoul. Born in the U.S. state of Washington, and now based in South Korea, Jay Park's popular 'Mommae' music video has more than 18 million views, and the sexy 'Me Like Yuh' music video now has more than 10 million views, and fans are eagerly waiting for the next album drop and concert appearance.
