Has Jay Park come full circle with upcoming AOMG Audition Program "Sign Here" on MBN?

He has shared his story hundreds of times. CEO Jay Park got his start in the music industry after auditioning in Seattle as a teen to join JYP, one of the largest entertainment companies in South Korea.

According to online sources, after being accepted, Park trained in South Korea as part of a kpop group known as One Day. Part of the group's training was broadcast as a reality survival documentary show on MNET called Hot Blood.

After the show, One Day was split into two separate groups-- 2AM and 2PM. Via fan votes, Park became the leader of 2PM. 2PM debuted with the song "10 Out of 10" in 2008. But by 2010, Park was officially out of the group, and back home in Seattle.


Fast forward to today, and Jay Park is signed to Roc Nation and has founded his own entertainment companies; hip-hop labels AOMG and H1GHR MUSIC, and he is now currently launching an AOMG audition program called "Sign Here" on MBN. The show aims to find the next hip-hop artist in South Korea to sign with AOMG. Not exactly full circle for Park, but very close.

He will be featured on the new program, along with current artists from his label... Simon Dominic, Gray and Code Kunst. A video teaser was released for the show on March 22.

Rapper Sik-K Does The "In My Feelings" (Shiggy) Challenge

H1GHR MUSIC's Sik-K is the latest entertainer to take up the "In My Feelings" Challenge. The Challenge was originally started with a dance in the street on June 30, by comedian Shiggy, to Drake's "In My Feelings" track from his recent "Scorpion" album. But since then it's gone viral, with millions of tweets and posts on Instagram, of people from all walks of life, doing the challenge with the hashtags - #kikichallenge, #DoTheShiggy, #theshiggychallenge, #kekechallenge and #inmyfeelingschallenge. Drake and Jack Harlow shoot music video during The Kentucky Derby for song "Churchill Downs"

On the eve of the 148th running of the Kentucky Derby, Louisville native and rapper, 24-year-old Jack Harlow dropped his new album- "Come Home the Kids Miss You." The project hit streaming sites on May 6th, one day before the May 7th Derby at the Churchill Downs horse-racetrack in Louisville.  Harlow's album includes the Drake-assisted song "Churchill Downs," in which the two rappers share lyrics of introspection before Drake wraps up the more than five minute track with... "Kentucky derby races, my presence in the spot is so abrasive. Box at the Churchill Downs, that's motivation, yeah. Showing her vocal range as an R&B artist, singer Kiana Ledé released "Take It All" on July 13, as one of seven songs on her new EP "Selfless." "Take It All" stands out on the mini album. The mostly acoustic track connects on an emotional level of maturity, which makes it today's Song of The Day. The 21-year-old artist has been active since she was a child, after winning a  Kidz Bop's Kidz Star USA talent competition in 2011. Dance Moves of The Day: NCT U - Taeyong & Ten - "Baby Don't Stop" Dance Practice

Taeyong and Ten, two of the members from the kpop sub-group NCT U, have swag and a lot of it at that. Most of their fans already knew this, but for newcomers, the dance practice video released by SM Entertainment in South Korea, confirms it. The visual in the official video for "Baby Don't Stop," was already a heart stopper. But now, inside a dance studio, for the dance practice video, Taeyong and Ten make their hard, smooth and sexy hip-hop moves with quick hand and footwork, look even sexier. The choreography is really good, and the song itself is pretty tight. The dance practice (below) was released on March 16, and has over one million views. Jay Park to drop new R&B album in October

Singer Jay Park has announced on social media his plans to release a new R&B album next month. The Seattle to Seoul artist says the project will be out on October 8th, his first in eight years. His previous R&B album "Everything You Wanted" dropped on October 20, 2016. On his recent social media post, Park also joked about deleting his Instagram Account and said there will be a tour in 2025. He deleted his previous IG account in 2022.   Looking for a new summer jam? Check out DJ SHAUN's electric dance track, "Thinking Of" featuring rapper OVAN and singer SUMIN. The single is the title track off his first solo mini album, "TAKE." The vocal EDM artist is known for his skill with synthesizers, and is a member of the South Korean indie rock band, The KOXX (which formed in 2009). SHAUN's EP dropped on June 27, along with a music video for "Thinking Of (생각나)." The mv features two beautiful women enjoying themselves at the beach and elsewhere, and also includes OVAN on the mic. SZA to co-headline Jack Harlow's new Gazebo music festival in Louisville

Kentucky rapper Jack Harlow is once again going big, this time with the launch of a new music festival in his hometown of Louisville.  Harlow will co-headline his new two-day Gazebo Festival with grammy-award-winning singer SZA. A total of 26 acts on two stages are also a part of the lineup, including James Blake, Omar Apollo, PinkPantheress and Vince Staples. The event will also highlight Louisville's local food and culture. The festival will take place on May 25 and 26 at Louisville’s Waterfront Park on River Road. A Gazebo mobile app will be available in the app store closer to the festival dates. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will go to non-profit organizations through the Jack Harlow Foundation.
