New Music & MV Drop: Joji - "SLOW DANCING IN THE DARK"

88rising singer Joji, has returned with a dark and haunting visual for his new track "SLOW DANCING IN THE DARK." Out on September 12, the music video was trending on YouTube hours after its release.

Directed by Jared Hogan, the video has Joji with goat legs, with an arrow shot through the middle of his back, and blood dripping from his mouth, as he sings over eerie melodies. The single, produced by Patrick Wimberly and George Miller, is off Joji's upcoming album - BALLADS 1.

Rapper Dok2 talks about working with Jay Park and G-Dragon (from BIGBANG) in Ep. 31 of "Fun With Dumb"

Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Lucky for fans, the rapper sat down on two separate occasions recently to talk about his life and the rise of hip-hop in South Korea. The first interview was for the March 7th face to face with rapper Snacky Chan for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod." The second was for American rapper Dumbfoundead's March 20th (ep. 31) podcast of "Fun With Dumb." During the podcast, Dok2 provided a mini-history lesson for anyone interested in South Korean hip-hop. Beginning with his early rise, the rapper says he's been making moves in the industry since 2002 when he was 12-years-old. NEW NAME FOR BTS MEMBER (formerly Rap Monster)

The leader of the super popular kpop group BTS, from South Korea, has officially changed his name. Kim Nam-joon previously known as Rap Monster, has changed his stage name to RM. The announcement was published on the BTS official fan cafe on November 13. Jessi released their collaboration - "Drip" on November 1st, and straight out the gate, she comes out swinging with swag, and singing, that she's not "going anywhere." Jay Park drops performance video for new song "Thoughts Of You" feat. pH-1 & BENZO

Multilingual artist and businessman Jay Park has released a new single with Chinese and English lyrics. Park dropped "Thoughts Of You" featuring pH-1 and BENZO on April 28, with a performance video on YouTube featuring his MVP (More Vision Project) dance crew and rapper pH-1 also busting a few moves. The new song follows the rollout of Jay Park's chart-topping song "GANADARA" on March 11, featuring South Korean singer and actress IU. Park released a performance video for that song on April 24, featuring MVP and HolyBang. The video dropped one day before his 35th birthday on April 25. The release of the new music comes under Park's new label/company MORE VISION, which he announced on March 2, while successfully launching his new soju brand WON SOJU and after stepping down as CEO from AOMG and H1GHR MUSIC.

Perhaps one of the best known hip-hop and R&B crews in South Korea, members of FANXY CHILD have teamed up once again to drop a new single and visual titled "Y." The track hit streaming sites on August 9th featuring ZICO, CRUSH, DEAN, PENOMECO and producers MILLIC and STAYTUNED. Previously we've seen them collaborate on such hits and music videos like Millic's "Paradise" and Zico's "Fanxy Child" and "Bermuda Triangle." B Young drops hot visual for new song "OCEAN" ft. BNXN

London artist B Young has returned with a hot new single. The rapper/singer dropped his new song "OCEAN" featuring Nigerian singer BNXN, with an official music video on June 30. The visual includes beautiful scenes on a beach with a beautiful model. The song produced by AymixBeats is B Young's first release since his 2021 debut album "Differences."

Song of The Day: Kiana Ledé - "Take It All"

Showing her vocal range as an R&B artist, singer Kiana Ledé released "Take It All" on July 13, as one of seven songs on her new EP "Selfless." "Take It All" stands out on the mini album. The mostly acoustic track connects on an emotional level of maturity, which makes it today's Song of The Day. The 21-year-old artist has been active since she was a child, after winning a Kidz Bop's Kidz Star USA talent competition in 2011. Mural of Rapper Dumbfoundead Vandalized

The iconic mural of rapper Dumbfoundead painted on the side of Catalina Liquor in Koreatown in Los Angeles, has been vandalized-- that's according to a social media post from the artist. A picture of the vandalism, shows letters spray painted across it. On July 16th, Dumbfoundead thanked painter Joseph Yun Lee and Catalina Liquor on Instagram for "wanting to keep the mural up as long as they did." The mural was originally painted for the rapper's 2016 music video "Murals," a visual off his "We Might Die" album. Last year, he tweeted that he was getting a least one tagged photo a day from fans who had taken a picture in front of it. Dumbfoundead is now asking fans to send pictures or videos they had taken in front of the mural to muralsforever@gmail.com or tag him, so he can use the images in a video.
