Song of the Week: DOK2 - "CULTURE"

On April 25, legendary rapper DOK2 returned with a visual for his new song "CULTURE." The music video directed by Erik White, dropped under Last King Group, with a link to the rapper's new merch line and a billboard in Los Angeles. The single follows the drop of the collab track "Chandeliers," with Styliztik Jones back in February.

On his new song, the co-founder of the now defunct South Korean label Illionaire Records, raps "nobody handed me a silver spoon." Check out the official music video for "CULTURE" below.

Rapper Dok2 talks about working with Jay Park and G-Dragon (from BIGBANG) in Ep. 31 of "Fun With Dumb"

Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Lucky for fans, the rapper sat down on two separate occasions recently to talk about his life and the rise of hip-hop in South Korea. The first interview was for the March 7th face to face with rapper Snacky Chan for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod." The second was for American rapper Dumbfoundead's March 20th (ep. 31) podcast of "Fun With Dumb." During the podcast, Dok2 provided a mini-history lesson for anyone interested in South Korean hip-hop. Beginning with his early rise, the rapper says he's been making moves in the industry since 2002 when he was 12-years-old. He told Dumbfoundead that he used to attend a school for foreigners in Busan (because of his mixed Korean, Spanish and Filipino heritage), but after 6th grade he moved to Seoul and did not return back to school (due to family financial reasons). Rapper Jessi and Jay Park "Drip" with Swag in New Music & MV

Rapper Jessi is back with another single under P NATION (the South Korean record label founded by Psy). This time around, Jessi has global star Jay Park on the track and visual. Jessi released their collaboration - "Drip" on November 1st, and straight out the gate, she comes out swinging with swag, and singing, that she's not "going anywhere." Park joins her midway in-- getting his brag on-- with a smooth flow about his "legacy." Check out the new music and video below.

Jay Sean drops visual for new single "With You" ft. Gucci Mane & Asian Doll

British singer Jay Sean has released the official music video for his new single "With You," featuring Gucci Mane and Asian Doll. The Jamar Harding directed visual dropped on April 1st, and in it, there's a lot of booty. The video shows girls in bikinis and balaclavas riding down the road on two-wheel scooters. The actual single hit streaming sites with Republic Records on March 8th, after a long break from the London artist. Check out his new MV below.

Jay Park drops a Demo on SoundCloud and it's a Slow Jam

An unexpected slow jam from Jay Park. The singer/rapper uploaded a track titled "2016 Demo," on SoundCloud on June 21. The song, produced by Woogie from H1GHR MUSIC, has that 90s R&B vibe, as Park sings about the mistakes he made with a former love. You can listen to it below. Jay Park is the co-CEO of two labels (AOMG & H1GHR MUSIC), and he is also signed to Roc Nation. He dropped his debut single under Roc Nation, "Soju," (feat. 2 Chainz) on May 25. The official music video for it was released on June 14. A week after the release of his first album titled "PRVT 01," South Korean singer/rapper ONE (Jung Jae Won) dropped an official music video on November 18, for his Ian Purp produced track-- "Hard To Love," complete with English subtitles. New Music Drop: Anthony Danza - "The BBS Diaries" with an "At All Costs" MV

Delivering that West Coast rewind with 80s G-funk beats, Seattle rapper/producer Anthony Danza has dropped his latest project (out now on Spotify and Amazon music). The Black Umbrella/Proof Avenue artist released "The BBS Diaries" on May 26, with a visual for one of its tracks, "At All Costs," pre-released on YouTube on May 24. The video shot by Steve Arsenio and edited by photographer Harry Clean. On Instagram, Danza reminds fans that another track from the project, “Rich Tonight” had sample clearance issues, but you can find it on SoundCloud. Check out the new music and music video below.
