New Music: JOOHEON drops intense mixtape "DWTD" with "RED CARPET" visual


South Korean rapper Jooheon from kpop group MONSTA X, delivers a mixed bag of intense hip-hop on his new solo EP titled "DWTD (Do What They Do)."  The five-track mixtape dropped on August 31, with a colorful official music video for the melodic title track "Red Carpet."

Jooheon takes credit for the lyrics on each track, but received an assist from producer Ye-Yo! on the electric "Kang Baek-ho" and "Manito." Also lending a hand, is featured rapper Killagramz on "Runway," produced by Dakshood. While khip-hop (Yelows Mob) producer BOYCOLD takes co-credit for the horn fusion production of "Red Carpet," and 9F co-produced "Should I do."

A lot of big names in the music industry were there, including the founder of Roc Nation, Jay-Z, and his beautiful wife Beyoncé. Also there, as part of the Roc Nation label, was musician Jay Park, and the co-CEO of one of his labels (H1GHR MUSIC), Cha Cha Malone. Fans of the four got to share in the moment, with pictures that were uploaded on social media. Jay Park posted photos on Instagram of his meeting with Beyoncé and Jay-Z. Rapper Dok2 talks about working with Jay Park and G-Dragon (from BIGBANG) in Ep. 31 of "Fun With Dumb"

Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Lucky for fans, the rapper sat down on two separate occasions recently to talk about his life and the rise of hip-hop in South Korea. The first interview was for the March 7th face to face with rapper Snacky Chan for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod."   The second was for American rapper Dumbfoundead's March 20th (ep. 31) podcast of "Fun With Dumb." During the podcast, Dok2 provided a mini-history lesson for anyone interested in South Korean hip-hop. Beginning with his early rise, the rapper says he's been making moves in the industry since 2002 when he was 12-years-old. LOOPY Returns With "NO FEAR" Deluxe LP

MKIT RAIN rapper LOOPY is back with a "NO FEAR" deluxe album. The artist dropped his full 25-track project on April 29. It includes a number of notable features. LOOPY released the first part of the LP (with 21 tracks) on April 14, with an official music video on YouTube for his song "ANA," featuring CHANGMO. New Video Drop: JINBO - "You Just Have To"

South Korean R&B singer JINBO, may have built his ideal woman as an AI robot, in his latest music video. The SuperFreakRecords' artist released the mv for "You Just Have To" on August 28, and you may have to watch it a couple of times, to get the plot twist. The visual comes after the August 14 release of his music video "So To Speak," with Crush and Hoody, which honors Kim SungJae, a member of the '90s duo DEUX, who died a suspicious death after his solo debut. JINBO's new music video was directed by 725, and has a sexy-tragic storyline. The song produced by Nounou Paris, was written by JINBO the SuperFreak himself. Jito Mo and Lil Cherry return for "ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT" new MV

Representing Sauce Cartel, rappers Jito Mo and Lil Cherry are back with new music, and a visual for their track "ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT." The official music video for it dropped on May 31. This follows their exit from South Korean label Wedaplugg Records back in November of 2018. Check out their new music below.

NEW VIDEO DROP: "Hocus Pocus" New Fun MV from Planetarium Records / PLT

They dropped the digital track on May 12th, and on Thursday, May 17th, the boys from Planetarium Records released their colorful visual for "Hocus Pocus." It features Jung Jinwoo, Villain, June, Gaho and Moti in a fun video that includes a zebra, and the artists rapping and singing around a globe on a table. CONCERT WATCH: Flowsik in Europe This Summer

After back to back collaborations with rapper/singer Jessi, Korean-American rapper Flowsik is hitting the road, and going on a mini-tour in Europe. The tour is presented by the kpop party crew, Young Bros, and kicks off June 1st in Amsterdam. Meanwhile his two releases with Korean-American star Jessi, are doing well. The feel good song "All I Need," dropped on March 31, and Flowsik and Jessi have promoted the track on Korean music shows. The second release, "Wet," dropped on April 4, and the sexy visual for it, has more than a million views on YouTube. A lot of people were first introduced to (Jay Pak) Flowsik with the release of the melodic quick flow of the "The Calling," and then with his part on "EUNG FREESTYLE," the viral rap track, he collaborated on with other heavy hitters such as LIVE, Sik-K, Punchnello and Owen Ovadoz. YUGYEOM Shows Off his Dance Moves after Signing to Jay Park's label AOMG

It's official, GOT7's Kim Yugyeom is the latest artist to sign to Jay Park's first label AOMG. The announcement was made at midnight, KST, on February 19. As the newest member of the hip-hop and R&B label, YUGYEOM joins veteran singers, rappers and producers such as Loco, Gray, Simon Dominic, Hoody and Code Kunst, as well as newer artists Woo Won-jae, Sogumm, Punchnello, DeVita and Lee Hi. Jay Park founded AOMG in 2013. YUGYEOM's move to AOMG follows his departure from JYP Entertainment. He and his fellow GOT7 boy band members, who debuted in 2014, left JYP in January, after their contract with the entertainment company expired. YUGYEOM is now the second artist to leave JYP to work under Jay Park. Singer G.Soul left the company in 2017 to sign with Park's second label H1GHR MUSIC.
