A Rapper's Immigrant Anthem - Dumbfoundead - "Every Last Drop"

Rapper Dumbfoundead has dropped a new music video called "Every Last Drop," produced by Isaac Flame. In the description of it on YouTube, Dumbfoundead writes, My family came to this country (America) with nothing but now we own things and have created a lineage with successful offspring. This is like a “WE HAVE ARRIVED” immigrant anthem. The track may be a little different from what fans are use to. It's more of a melody rap style, but the song is really good, and the lyrics are worth paying attention to. My real mama fresh off the boat, my little mama fresh off the yacht, little foreign boy in America, look at how far we got, my old head said I got the juice, little homie said I got the sauce, little foreign in America, I'm gonna give them every last drop. like I'm drippin, drippin, drippin, all my blood tears and sweat, drippin, drippin, drippin.

Rapper Stefflon Don - Keeping It Real and Labeling Men as "Food" in Her Contacts

Rapper Stefflon Don from London, has just dropped her new single, "Ding-A-Ling," with Skepta, and produced by Rymez.  And as the title suggest, it's pretty raunchy, but getting past that, it's a hyper. According to XXL, "the song is built around a sample of The Simpsons' clip where one of the children sings Chuck Berry's song of the same name." Her rap game is up there.  Her fans compare her to Nicki Minaj, and while they wishfully wait for a future collab, Stefflon Don meanwhile is coming off a killer live performance at the 2017 MTV EMAs of her hit single "Hurtin' Me," (Feat. French Montana) where she shows off her powerful soulful voice. She slays, but what so many people are talking about now, is her 'keeping it real' Lyrics & Meaning Verified session with Genius, where she says of her previous relationships with men... This when a bitch was broke. Nigga asked me out I'm coming. Don’t no matter what you ...

11 FACTS ABOUT KRIS WU (From His Power 106 Interview)

by Nefertiti Jenkins

Camila Cabello's New "Havana" MV is #1 Video Trending on YouTube

Singer Camila Cabello dropped her visuals for her single "Havana," featuring Young Thug on October 24, and within hours, it became the number one trending video on YouTube, raking in millions of views. There's comedy and there's romance, but the music video isn't your average mv. It plays more like a mini movie, with Cabello the star of each scene.  In fact, that's how the 20-year-old former member of Fifth Harmony teased the visual just days before the big drop with a number of movie-style teaser trailers. The actual music video starts with Cabello in a telenovela, and then expands to show she's the woman watching the drama, who then interacts with her grandmother (played by LeJuan James) and her sister (played by LeLe Pons). She then goes to the theater, where she's the star of that film, hitting the dance floor with hot men at a club. Cabello, originally from Cuba, really does a great job acting out each of her roles in her mini movie, di...

Instead of Columbus Day - Celebrating Native American Culture

On Monday, October 9th, 2017, many cities across the U.S. celebrated Indigenous Peoples' Day instead of Columbus Day. Columbus Day traditionally honors Christopher Columbus' arrival in the Americas in 1492.  The day became a federal holiday in the United States in 1937. But Christopher Columbus' arrival also included European diseases and the enslavement of Native Americans and later the African Slave trade. Indigenous Peoples' Day, honors the struggle, culture, history and traditions of Indigenous peoples, not only from the United States, but also from around the world. According to USA Today, The notion of an Indigenous Peoples Day took root at an international conference on discrimination sponsored by the United Nations in 1977. In 1992, Berkeley, Calif., declared Oct. 12 as "Day of Solidarity with Indigenous People" and promoted programs in schools and museums on Native American culture.  In 2014, a few cities such as Sea...

Shotta Spence Drops New Video on WorldStar

He said new music was on the way, and on September 12, 2017, rapper Shotta Spence let his fans have it, by premiering his new music video on WorldStarHipHop . The song is called "Word of Mouth," and just like his previous songs, Shotta goes in hard. This time around, he's cleverly spitting lyrics, from a dark street corner like a man who's been through some things. "I'm a warrior, got some shooters on my team. I'm a playa for life..." Check out the video for "Word Of Mouth" below. The mv is simple, but the message cuts deep. We love Shotta Spence here. We hope he stays out of trouble, and we can't wait to see what he has for us next.

The Chris Brown "Take You Down" from dancer Daniel Jerome

Sometimes you just don't have control when music moves you. That seems to be the case for choreographer Daniel Jerome from the state of Washington (and Art Of Movement (AOM)). Jerome posted on Instagram on September 6, a very intimate routine from the dance floor, saying in a long post... When you blank out and the music takes over...then you snap back to life and realize you have embarrassed yourself by taking it down like Chris Brown... When you blank out and the music takes over...then you snap back to life and realize you have embarrassed yourself by taking it down like Chris Brown because all of that inspiration from your high school years stored in the back of your mind that randomly felt it was appropriate to throwback right then and there because you knew you weren't able to dance like that back then during those years due to being an anti-social kid that wanted to do choreography back during that time, but didn't have the confidence because he only un...

Rapper Shotta Spence Shares his Mother's Story

Shotta Spence, the 21-year-old up and coming rapper from New Jersey, shared part of his mother's journey from Vietnam, on Instagram, on Monday, September 4, as he wished her a Happy Birthday, and thanked her for supporting him as an artist. In his post, Shotta Spence (Spence Lee) wrote that when his mother was a little girl in Vietnam,  "the communist North had taken everything from her family. During the war, her parents and siblings had to escape further south in a TANK. The South Vietnamese and the Americans were losing the war, and she got separated from her family in the chaos. U.S. soldiers evacuated her via "Operation Babylift" ... on the LAST flight out." Shotta Spence goes on to say that the flight his mother was originally supposed to be on, had gotten shot down.  "But by the grace of God she wound up in Ohio, then Washington Heights (NY) and got into fashion.. and the streets."  Shotta also adds that his mother didn't ...

Jackson (From GOT7) Drops Music Video and Premiers on WorldStar

He's known as the silly, but sexy rapper in the kpop group GOT7, but late on August 25th, Jackson Wang dropped his music video for his first solo song, " Papillon ," with a premier on WorldStarHipHop . That probably had a lot to do with Ben Baller, the controversial but popular jewelry maker who's known in the hip-hip community. Baller (a mentor for Jackson), is featured in the music video, as well as African-American dancers towards the end of it. The song itself is trappy and pretty hard core, and all in English. The music video shows Jackson stepping out of a helicopter with Ben Baller and a Black guy, then he starts his rap. "you got me feeling like a Papillon, Find it I shine like a diamond. Oh Lord, Oh Lord, I truly feel blessed. I been trapped inside but now I feel blessed. I'll break rules like Rick Ross'd be saying. Spit fire like flame tools, them burn it all. Money and fame don't define me....." "Do what you are told, say...

Drake Praises Dumbfoundead in "Bad Rap" (Now on Netflix)

Before artist and battle rapper Dumbfoundead released his hot "We Might Die" album, or dropped the popular music videos for the tracks 'SAFE' and 'Harambe,' and the catchy but freaky visual for 'Water,' Dumbfoundead was sitting down with producer and director Salima Koroma and co-producer Jaeki Cho for a documentary with three of his friends called "Bad Rap." It premiered last year at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival, but was just recently uploaded on Netflix. The documentary walks us through the journey he and fellow Asian-American artists Awkwafina, Lyricks and Rekstizzy were on, to break into the larger American hip-hop scene, as they navigated through the waters of culture appropriation (from the African-American community) and originality. Dumbfoundead has been known for his battle rap skills for a long time. In the film we get to re-experience his epic comeback battle (after a break) against Conceited (from Wild 'n Out)...

Them AOMG Boyz -- Gray Covers Ed Sheeran & Loco drops new EP

A post shared by GRAY (@callmegray) on Aug 19, 2017 at 9:04pm PDT Who knew that producer Gray from AOMG could sing, like really sing, well enough to do a great cover of Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You." In a recent episode of South Korean's KBS' "Yu Huiyeol's Sketchbook," Gray sits next to Loco, with DJ Pumkin in the back, as Loco raps about food, but then the camera focuses on Gray who sweetly sings "Shape of You," as if he wrote the song himself. Gray, known as one of the quiet ones in the AOMG music label crew, isn't known for speaking English, but in this cover, he pronounces the words of the song perfectly. Also during this episode of "Sketchbook," Gray and Loco perform "Good" with fellow label mate ELO. Gray and Loco also perform "Summer Go Loco," the title track from Loco's new EP, which just dropped days ago on August 18. The four track album is a great deal too, co...
