Calendar Watch: BTS To Perform at AMAs

Mark your calendars. K-Pop group BTS will be performing their hit single, “DNA,” at the American Music Awards on November 19 on ABC at 8 p.m. (7 p.m. central).

This will be the first performance for the South Korean supergroup at an American awards show. Earlier this year, BTS appeared at the Billboard Music Awards ceremony to accept their win for Top Social Artist.

According to Billboard Magazine,

Since then, they’ve broken records as the only Korean artist to break into the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 and the highest-charting K-pop group on the Hot 100 with their single, “DNA.”

According to Forbes Magazine, a representative for the group released this statement,

It is such an honor for BTS and BigHit Entertainment to be invited to the American Music Awards as one of the performers. Our partners in the U.S. have helped us pave the way in every way possible, and together we are making history. We are also excited to show our fans, ARMY, the first-ever U.S. live TV performance of 'DNA.'

Fans still have questions about ECÂF after the release of Ruel's new single & MV - "Face To Face"

Drake and Jack Harlow shoot music video during The Kentucky Derby for song "Churchill Downs"

On the eve of the 148th running of the Kentucky Derby, Louisville native and rapper, 24-year-old Jack Harlow dropped his new album- "Come Home the Kids Miss You." The project hit streaming sites on May 6th, one day before the May 7th Derby at the Churchill Downs horse-racetrack in Louisville. Harlow's album includes the Drake-assisted song "Churchill Downs," in which the two rappers share lyrics of introspection before Drake wraps up the more than five minute track with... "Kentucky derby races, my presence in the spot is so abrasive. Box at the Churchill Downs, that's motivation, yeah. And shorty like, "You know that boy Jack is goin' places." The lyrics in Drake's verse were a prelude to what was to come. H1GHR MUSIC fans have more questions after label drops compilation single - "BRB"

H1GHR MUSIC returned with a new compilation single and visual on July 27. The title for the new song-- "BRB," is an acronym for "Be Right Back." The track produced by GroovyRoom and Cha Cha Malone, includes arstists HAON, Sik-K, TRADE L, BIG Naughty, pH-1, PARK HYEON JIN, JAY B and Jay Park. The song includes the lyrics: "We'll meet again after looking around" and "H1GHR gang, no label, issa la familia." Fans are commenting under the official music video for the song, saying the lyrics are sad and appear to suggest an ending or hiatus. The new release comes just days after rapper pH-1 deleted his posts on Instagram and after H1GHR MUSIC announced the departures of rapper Sik-K and GOT7 singer JAY B, after the expiration of their contracts. Sik-K had been with the label since its founding, while JAY B had been with H1GHR for just a year. The South Korean label was founded by Jay Park and Cha Cha Malone in 2017. When you got it, you got it, and dance instructor Insun Lee, has it. Lee is an instructor with Prepix Studio in South Korea. Prepix has worked on a number of dance projects and videos with entertainer Jay Park. On its Instagram page, on Sunday, January 14, Prepix posted one of the most recent choreography videos from Lee, promoting his classes there, which take place on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. I n the video, Lee delivers a smooth routine to Shawn Mendes' "There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back" , and in the end he even gives us a bboy spin. Rapper Jessi is back with another single under P NATION (the South Korean record label founded by Psy). This time around, Jessi has global star Jay Park on the track and visual. Jessi released their collaboration - "Drip" on November 1st, and straight out the gate, she comes out swinging with swag, and singing, that she's not "going anywhere." Hot New Music: Jack Harlow - "First Class," Paulo Londra - "Chance" and ChaMane - "26"

Hip-hop is dominating the charts from around the world. During the week ending April 9, some hot new music hit streaming sites, including new hits from Louisville, KY rapper Jack Harlow, Argentine artist Paulo Londra and South Korean rapper ChaMane. Jack Harlow's banger "First Class" rolled out on streaming sites on April 8, with an official visualizer (that's currently trending on YouTube) just days after a preview of the song on social media with the artist in the studio went viral. The rapper samples Fergie’s 2006 hit “Glamorous” in "First Class." British singer Jay Sean has released the official music video for his new single "With You," featuring Gucci Mane and Asian Doll. The Jamar Harding directed visual dropped on April 1st, and in it, there's a lot of booty. The video shows girls in bikinis and balaclavas riding down the road on two-wheel scooters. Seven new tracks from 'Unpretty Rapstar' season 2 winner Truedy. The 25-year-old South Korean rapper dropped her mini-album "Rued" on November 7th, with a music video for the song "Very Rare" featuring Avec Plaisir. Truedy has received criticism in the past for her performance on 'Unpretty Rapstar.' She was accused of copying South Korean-American born rapper Yoon Mi-rae's style and flow. Yoon Mi-rae has a South Korean mother and an African-American father. Truedy talked about her similarities to Yoon Mi Rae in a 2016 Soompi magazine article ; She's a musician that I really like.
