When's the last time this has happened? An artist of Asian descent's music being played on Urban radio/Black radio in the U.S.
Well that's exactly what happened on Wednesday, October 18. Rapper Kris Wu posted to Instagram, video of him driving down the road with the radio on to Power 106, a hip-hop station in Los Angeles, California.
The song hitting the airwaves at that moment, was his new track "Deserve" (ft. Travis Scott). On Twitter, Wu thanked DJ E-Man for the play.
As we reported previously, the track is banging hot, and Kris Wu has been making the rounds with it, beginning with a lit release party in New York, and by dropping a visual, an official music video on YouTube.
Meanwhile, the international star could be working on another big collaboration. On the same day as the radio play, Wu also posted a picture, of him and Grammy Award winner Pharrell Williams, in the studio together.
