Jay Park shows his softer side in new EP "Nothing Matters" & "All Day (Flex)" MV

Jay Park is back with softer melodies. His new 5-track EP "Nothing Matters" hit streaming sites on July 2nd, with a visual for his track "All Day (Flex)" featuring HAON and YUMDDA. Producers on the mini-album, with lyrics mostly in Korean, include OkayJJack, Ugly Duck, Cha Cha Malone and Slom. The new music follows the release of his hip-hop LP - "The Road Less Traveled," back on June 7th.

The single is from the new "My Tribe" LP which is now available on Tidal . Rapper Dok2 talks about working with Jay Park and G-Dragon (from BIGBANG) in Ep. 31 of "Fun With Dumb"

Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Lucky for fans, the rapper sat down on two separate occasions recently to talk about his life and the rise of hip-hop in South Korea. The first interview was for the March 7th face to face with rapper Snacky Chan for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod." The second was for American rapper Dumbfoundead's March 20th (ep. 31) podcast of "Fun With Dumb." During the podcast, Dok2 provided a mini-history lesson for anyone interested in South Korean hip-hop. Beginning with his early rise, the rapper says he's been making moves in the industry since 2002 when he was 12-years-old. Hi-Lite Records' YunB is an "Alcoholic" in new double single & MV release feat. Bassagong

In the latest drop from South Korean label Hi-Lite Records, artist YunB raps about being an "Alcoholic" due in part to addiction, and the influence of those around him. The melodic Yosi produced track featuring Bassagong, is one of two off YunB's double single release under the title song "Alcoholic." The second song is "Rebound Girl," produced by O.T.O. Sik-K begs a Woman to Stay in New Video Drop - "XIBAL"

Looks like H1GHR MUSIC's trap rapper Sik-K, has messed up big time in the romance department. In his new music video, he's begging a woman to stay with him. The MV for his song "XIBAL" dropped on September 20 with English subtitles, ahead of a full release. The South Korean rapper wrote on Instagram to his fans; "If u want me to drop this track on every streaming platform drop comments." The lyrics for the song produced by GroovyRoom and Pink Slip include: "Sibal, please don't go yet. Sorry for cussin. Don't leave that's what I meant." And also, "So we won't fight. AOMG Welcomes Sogumm to the Label after her "Signhere" win on MBN

South Korean label AOMG (founded by Jay Park), now has two female artists. AOMG welcomed Sogumm to the team on October 31, after the final episode of Signhere on MBN. The singer took home first place, on the competition show. Her total scores for her performance beating out Meloh, Maddox and MBA. Sogumm joins Hoody, and a crew of popular male artists, as the second woman signed to AOMG. Hoody became the first female artist to sign to the hip-hop and R&B record label back in 2015. KPOP Idol J-Hope from BTS - in Drake's "In My Feelings" Official Music Video

by Nefertiti Jenkins So many people from around the world have danced to Drake's Scorpion "In My Feelings" track, thanks to comedian Shiggy, and the viral challenge he created, that Drake almost didn't need an official music video for the song. But he made one anyway. The MV dropped late on August 2nd, and with more than 8 million views, 12 hours later, it is currently the number one trending video on YouTube. Directed by Karena Evans in a New Orleans setting, the cameos in it are epic. At the beginning of the video we see Drake outside a New Orleans home, trying to sweet talk his Keke, played by TV personality and actress La La Anthony, but the two are interrupted by Keke's mother, played Cosby Show legend Phylicia Rashad. It then goes on to feature scenes of dancers and Shiggy in the Big Easy, until Drake wakes from his "dream" and gets annoyed by a production assistant, also played by Shiggy. Worth a Listen: EXO-SC debut Hip-Hop EP - "What a Life"

When you involve production from South Korean hip-hop industry heavy hitters, it's hard to go wrong on the final drop. On July 22, EXO's Chanyeol and Sehun released their debut EP as duo EXO-SC. The two are from nine-member South Korean–Chinese K-pop group - EXO, which is based in Seoul. The sub-unit's-- EXO-SC's new hip-hop album, "What a Life," was produced by hip-hop legend--Dynamic Duo's Gaeko, as well as Devine Channel, Aris Maggiani and AOMG's Gray. The duo also received an assist from Rhythm Power members Hangzoo and Boi B. The cross-over for the two K-pop SM Entertainment boy band members, includes a visual for two of the EP's three title tracks - "Just us 2" featuring Gaeko (produced by GRAY) and "What a Life" produced by Devine-Channel and Aris Maggiani. Fans hoping to get a ticket to the second part of Jay Park's "Serenades & Body Rolls" tour featuring his new KPOP group LNGSHOT may be out of luck soon. Tickets are going fast.
