New Music & MV: Gaho - "Preparation For a Journey" - his first mini-album

South Korean singer Gaho has dropped his debut EP. "Preparation For a Journey" hit streaming sites on Dec. 11, along with an official music video for its title track of the same name.

The AlphaDict crew member from the label Planetarium Records, has five tracks on his mini-album, which range from ballads to pop R&B. Labelmate Villain features on the fourth track "Then." Check out the music video in black and white and a preview of the EP below.

NEW NAME FOR BTS MEMBER (formerly Rap Monster)

The leader of the super popular kpop group BTS, from South Korea, has officially changed his name. Kim Nam-joon previously known as Rap Monster, has changed his stage name to RM. The announcement was published on the BTS official fan cafe on November 13.  RM wrote on it, that although he's been called Rap Monster for the past five years, he felt the need to change it, because that title was   getting more and more distant from the music done for the past 5 years.                                                                    -RM (via allkpop)    Back on September 19, 2017, Rap Monster announced on his Beats1Noisey Interview that he would be changing his name to RM. Jay Park Performs English Version of "Yacht" For "24 Hours of Reality"

Jay Park has premiered the full English version of his song "Yacht." The singer performed it for the first time on Dec. 5, on former U.S. Vice President Al Gore's "24 Hours of Reality." The program streams live every year scientists, business leaders and celebrities talking about "the climate crisis." This is the second year, for Jay Park to lend his voice and talent to the program. Park also introduced one of the singers from his label, H1GHR MUSIC, Phe Reds, who performed his sweet song "Smile." Has Jay Park come full circle with upcoming AOMG Audition Program "Sign Here" on MBN?

He has shared his story hundreds of times. CEO Jay Park got his start in the music industry after auditioning in Seattle as a teen to join JYP, one of the largest entertainment companies in South Korea. According to online sources, after being accepted, Park trained in South Korea as part of a kpop group known as One Day. Part of the group's training was broadcast as a reality survival documentary show on MNET called Hot Blood . After the show, One Day was split into two separate groups-- 2AM and 2PM. Via fan votes, Park became the leader of 2PM. 2PM debuted with the song "10 Out of 10" in 2008. But by 2010, Park was officially out of the group, and back home in Seattle. Fast forward to today, and Jay Park is signed to Roc Nation and has founded his own entertainment companies; hip-hop labels AOMG and H1GHR MUSIC, and he is now currently launching an AOMG audition program called "Sign Here" on MBN. South Korean rapper Coogie drops new single as contract with AOMG expires

South Korean artist Coogie dropped his new single "1,2,3,4,5" on January 23, 2025--the same day record label AOMG announced its exclusive contract with the rapper had come to an end. Coogie signed with AOMG in 2022.  He was previously signed under hip-hop label ATMseoul. He became known for his sing-song melodic rap style after participating in the South Korean rap competition series Show Me The Money 777 in 2018.  The translation to AOMG's post on X reads... "Hello, this is AOMG. We would like to inform you that Coogie's exclusive contract has ended on January 23, 2025. YG singer-songwriter Joe Rhee, has made his solo artist debut as Vince, for THE BLACK LABEL, a South Korean record label and a subsidiary of YG Entertainment. According to the label, Vince has written numerous hit songs, including SUNMI's "Gashina," G-DRAGON's "Super Star," TAEYANG's "Wake Me Up" and WINNER's "Ah Yeah." Fans still have questions about ECÂF after the release of Ruel's new single & MV - "Face To Face"

On Sept. 10, he revealed that the actress portraying ECÂF in the music video and on Twitter, is named Tatiana. NEW MUSIC: Coogie's second EP - "EMO #1"

South Korean rapper Coogie is in his feels with his second EP, "EMO #1." The artist (and former Show Me the Money 777 contestant) from Yelowsmob crew and label MILLION MARKET (with ATMseoul), dropped his latest mini album on December 7th. This follows his debut self-titled EP, which dropped on May 18, under ATMseoul, before the merger with MILLION MARKET. The new seven-track EP, includes the smooth vocals of international R&B/hip-hop singer/rapper Jay Park - featured on the song "Justin Bieber." The visual for it, was also uploaded on December 7th, under SM Entertainment's YouTube channel. MILLION MARKET now falls under the SM Entertainment umbrella group. SM is currently one of the largest entertainment companies in Korea. NEW MUSIC: Jason Derulo - "2Sides" EP (Side 1 of his Album Project)

In a release that sounds like a celebration of music-- singer Jason Derulo is getting bodies moving with the drop of his new EP - "2Sides (Side 1)." The American artist released his mini-album on November 8th.  "2Sides (Side 1)" is the first of two parts. Part two is due out in 2020. The complete project will be his fifth studio album. Part one is a mixed brew of genres; with vibes of dance, R&B, melodic hip-hop, dancehall/calypso and pop-- along with the tunes of trumpets in its lead single - "F It Up." Jay Park to embark on a "Serenades & Body Rolls" world tour

Seattle to Seoul artist Jay Park has announced plans to embark on a "Serenades & Body Rolls" world tour. The entertainer posted on social media that it will be his first tour in six years, kicking off the 10th anniversary of his hit hip-hop song "MOMMAE," featuring Ugly Duck. Park dropped "MOMMAE" with a freaky visual on May 22, 2015. Rapper Shotta Spence Shares his Mother's Story

Shotta Spence, the 21-year-old up and coming rapper from New Jersey, shared part of his mother's journey from Vietnam, on Instagram, on Monday, September 4, as he wished her a Happy Birthday, and thanked her for supporting him as an artist. In his post, Shotta Spence (Spence Lee) wrote that when his mother was a little girl in Vietnam,  "the communist North had taken everything from her family. During the war, her parents and siblings had to escape further south in a TANK. The South Vietnamese and the Americans were losing the war, and she got separated from her family in the chaos. U.S. soldiers evacuated her via "Operation Babylift" ... on the LAST flight out."
