Didn't see that coming! - Watch G2's new "Alive" Video - from the new "tHROWING uP bUTTERFLIES" album

Without giving away too much, khip-hop fans should check out rapper G2's latest music video, "Alive," and watch it till the very end. It'll be worth your time. The trippy visual is from his second studio album - "tHROWING uP bUTTERFLIES." The South Korean Hi-Lite Records artist dropped both on December 7th.

His 13-track album follows a theme of addiction, depression, escapism, distrust and gratitude. It features hip-hop and R&B artists from the U.S. and South Korea including Rekstizzy, Ja Mezz, YELLOWMANE, Chancellor, Reddy, Ted Park, TAEK, Lyricks, GAMEBOYSACE, DJ ZO and Hoody.

Producers on the project include Big Banana, Frankie James, GAMEBOYSACE, UGP and GRAY. Check out the music video and album preview below.

by Nefertiti Jenkins A magical weekend in New York City. On Saturday, January 27, Roc Nation held its pre-2018 Grammy Awards brunch at the One World Trade Center. A lot of big names in the music industry were there, including the founder of Roc Nation, Jay-Z, and his beautiful wife Beyoncé. Also there, as part of the Roc Nation label, was musician Jay Park, and the co-CEO of one of his labels (H1GHR MUSIC), Cha Cha Malone. Fans of the four got to share in the moment, with pictures that were uploaded on social media. Jay Park posted photos on Instagram of his meeting with Beyoncé and Jay-Z. Mural of Rapper Dumbfoundead Vandalized

The iconic mural of rapper Dumbfoundead painted on the side of Catalina Liquor in Koreatown in Los Angeles, has been vandalized-- that's according to a social media post from the artist. A picture of the vandalism, shows letters spray painted across it. On July 16th, Dumbfoundead thanked painter Joseph Yun Lee and Catalina Liquor on Instagram for "wanting to keep the mural up as long as they did."  The mural was originally painted for the rapper's 2016 music video "Murals," a visual off his "We Might Die" album. Last year, he tweeted that he was getting a least one tagged photo a day from fans who had taken a picture in front of it. Dumbfoundead is now asking fans to send pictures or videos they had taken in front of the mural to muralsforever@gmail.com or tag him, so he can use the images in a video. Fans have been looking for this since October of 2017 , when the hip-hop label H1GHR MUSIC, first announced that they were going to have a 2018 North America Tour.  Thousands of people have been waiting patiently to hear more details about the concert stops for CEOs Jay Park and Cha Cha Malone and their H1GHR MUSIC artists. And after months of teasing, on March 3, Siva Group Entertainment reassured fans, by releasing the names of the cities for the much anticipated locations. Siva Group has worked with Jay Park before. Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Lucky for fans, the rapper sat down on two separate occasions recently to talk about his life and the rise of hip-hop in South Korea. The first interview was for the March 7th face to face with rapper Snacky Chan for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod."   The second was for American rapper Dumbfoundead's March 20th (ep. 31) podcast of "Fun With Dumb." During the podcast, Dok2 provided a mini-history lesson for anyone interested in South Korean hip-hop. Beginning with his early rise, the rapper says he's been making moves in the industry since 2002 when he was 12-years-old. H1GHR MUSIC, fresh off its U.S. tour with its American and Korean artists, and the label has just announced the addition of a new member to the team. HAON, the newest artist, is also the winner from the Korean hip-hop Mnet survival show, "High School Rapper 2." Co-CEO Cha Cha Malone introduced HAON to English readers in an Instagram post on May 11th, saying he is "The Hottest Rookie in the Hip-hop Scene." YUGYEOM Shows Off his Dance Moves after Signing to Jay Park's label AOMG

It's official, GOT7's Kim Yugyeom is the latest artist to sign to Jay Park's first label AOMG. The announcement was made at midnight, KST, on February 19. As the newest member of the hip-hop and R&B label, YUGYEOM joins veteran singers, rappers and producers such as Loco, Gray, Simon Dominic, Hoody and Code Kunst, as well as newer artists Woo Won-jae, Sogumm, Punchnello, DeVita and Lee Hi. Jay Park founded AOMG in 2013. YUGYEOM's move to AOMG follows his departure from JYP Entertainment. He and his fellow GOT7 boy band members, who debuted in 2014, left JYP in January, after their contract with the entertainment company expired. YUGYEOM is now the second artist to leave JYP to work under Jay Park. Singer G.Soul left the company in 2017 to sign with Park's second label H1GHR MUSIC. Worth Watching: "Bleach" - A Live-Action Anime Adaptation Movie on Netflix

by Nefertiti Jenkins Looking for something to watch this weekend? Check out "Bleach," a live-action anime adaptation film, that just recently hit Netflix with English subtitles. It's based on the manga and anime series of the same name. The acting is good, and the action is great. Even if you're not familiar with the series, you'll still enjoy the movie. According to the official synopsis, the film is about... Ichigo Kurosaki, a High School student, living in Karakura. He is able to see ghosts, as well as hollows. And he meets up with Rukia Kuchiki, a Soul Reaper (or Shinigami in Japanese).  Check out the trailer below, and stream "Bleach" on Netflix.

South Korean singer Gaho has dropped his debut EP. "Preparation For a Journey" hit streaming sites on Dec. 11, along with an official music video for its title track of the same name.
