Now Listening To: WOOGIE - "Rewind My Tape, Pt . 2"

Heavy on bass and electric guitars, and khip-hop talent, H1GHR MUSIC producer WOOGIE went big for his second EP, "Rewind My Tape, Pt . 2." The mini-album, with its rock, blues and jazz infusion, dropped on Dec. 16. It features one of his bosses- H1GHR MUSIC co-CEO, Jay Park on two hot tracks. Also featured on the EP are Ugly Duck, pH-1, PUNCHNELLO, Byung Un, Kim Dokyoon and R&B singer and labelmate G.Soul.

G.Soul has been away from the music scene since December 2017, when he enlisted in the South Korean military. The blues track he's featured on, "CALL MY NAME," includes his soulful vocals, and an official music video, focused on a dancer, after a SWAT team is called in.

Jay Sean drops visual for new single "With You" ft. Gucci Mane & Asian Doll

British singer Jay Sean has released the official music video for his new single "With You," featuring Gucci Mane and Asian Doll. The Jamar Harding directed visual dropped on April 1st, and in it, there's a lot of booty. The video shows girls in bikinis and balaclavas riding down the road on two-wheel scooters. The actual single hit streaming sites with Republic Records on March 8th, after a long break from the London artist. Check out his new MV below.

Rapper Dok2 talks about working with Jay Park and G-Dragon (from BIGBANG) in Ep. 31 of "Fun With Dumb"

Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Lucky for fans, the rapper sat down on two separate occasions recently to talk about his life and the rise of hip-hop in South Korea. The first interview was for the March 7th face to face with rapper Snacky Chan for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod."   The second was for American rapper Dumbfoundead's March 20th (ep. 31) podcast of "Fun With Dumb." During the podcast, Dok2 provided a mini-history lesson for anyone interested in South Korean hip-hop. Beginning with his early rise, the rapper says he's been making moves in the industry since 2002 when he was 12-years-old. NEW NAME FOR BTS MEMBER (formerly Rap Monster)

The leader of the super popular kpop group BTS, from South Korea, has officially changed his name. Kim Nam-joon previously known as Rap Monster, has changed his stage name to RM. The announcement was published on the BTS official fan cafe on November 13.  RM wrote on it, that although he's been called Rap Monster for the past five years, he felt the need to change it, because that title was   getting more and more distant from the music done for the past 5 years.                                                                    -RM (via allkpop)    Back on September 19, 2017, Rap Monster announced on his Beats1Noisey Interview that he would be changing his name to RM. Crush Drops New MV ("Be By My Side") With Earth, Wind & Fire Sample

Korean R&B singer Crush, has dropped his latest music video. It's called "Be By My Side," and it samples the soul, disco and funk band Earth, Wind & Fire. According to the description under the upload on the Amoeba Culture official YouTube Channel, Crush received permission to use the "Brazilian Rhyme" sample. "내 편이 돼줘 (be by my side)" contains elements from "Brazilian Rhyme (Interlude)" written by Maurice White. Published by EMI April Music Inc. Used by permission. All rights reserved. Avatar Darko Officially Signs With H1GHR MUSIC

Seattle Rapper Avatar Darko, has officially signed with hip-hop label H1GHR MUSIC. The CEOs, Jay Park and Cha Cha Malone, posted the official video on June 5th, to social media of Avatar signing the contract, and receiving his H1GHR MUSIC gold chain.  The new signee is fresh off a U.S. tour with his H1GHR MUSIC labelmates (which wrapped on May 8th in Seattle). He also hit the stage with them back in March, for South by Southwest. Jay Park Announces new H1GHR MUSIC Artist - Seo Donghyun a.k.a. Big Naughty

During the second and final day of his 2019  Off Route Fest in South Korea, co-CEO/entertainer Jay Park announced the newest member of his second label- H1GHR MUSIC, as rapper/singer Seo Donghyun a.k.a. Big Naughty. Park introduced the young artist on stage, on Oct. 6, in front of a crowd of thousands of people at the music festival, and later posted video of the moment to Instagram. According to Park, Donghyun is now the youngest member of the label (previously that title went to rapper Haon). Big Naughty was a contestant on season eight of the popular South Korean rap competition program - Show Me The Money (SMTM). He was eliminated in the semi-finals. Colde from offonoff has dropped a cover of the hit song "DNA" from kpop group BTS. The cover has a different vibe from the upbeat electronic original dance version.
