Looking for something to chill out with? Check out the new electronica album from DJ Deepshower. "COLORS" dropped on August 11, and some big names from the Korean music industry have hopped on it to lend a hand with vocals.

Featured artists include Hoody and Ugly Duck from Hip-Hop/R&B label AOMG, as well as MRSHLL from Hip-Hop/R&B label Feel Ghood Music, and JB from KPOP group GOT7. He's featured on the song "HIGHER," and was caught on fancam performing it, at the "Colors" Release Party at SOAP in Seoul. Rapper Dok2 talks about working with Jay Park and G-Dragon (from BIGBANG) in Ep. 31 of "Fun With Dumb"

Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Lucky for fans, the rapper sat down on two separate occasions recently to talk about his life and the rise of hip-hop in South Korea. The first interview was for the March 7th face to face with rapper Snacky Chan for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod."   The second was for American rapper Dumbfoundead's March 20th (ep. 31) podcast of "Fun With Dumb." During the podcast, Dok2 provided a mini-history lesson for anyone interested in South Korean hip-hop. Beginning with his early rise, the rapper says he's been making moves in the industry since 2002 when he was 12-years-old. NEW NAME FOR BTS MEMBER (formerly Rap Monster)

The leader of the super popular kpop group BTS, from South Korea, has officially changed his name. Kim Nam-joon previously known as Rap Monster, has changed his stage name to RM. The announcement was published on the BTS official fan cafe on November 13.  RM wrote on it, that although he's been called Rap Monster for the past five years, he felt the need to change it, because that title was   getting more and more distant from the music done for the past 5 years.                                                                    -RM (via allkpop)    Back on September 19, 2017, Rap Monster announced on his Beats1Noisey Interview that he would be changing his name to RM. Fans still have questions about ECÂF after the release of Ruel's new single & MV - "Face To Face"

(Updated September 10) - Ruel has dropped the Behind The Scenes video for "Face To Face." On Sept. 10, he revealed that the actress portraying ECÂF in the music video and on Twitter, is named Tatiana. And the person who sings the vocals for her single release, "Pictures," is actually Ruel's sister Coco. Original Post (08/11/19) ... Song of The Day: Kiana Ledé - "Take It All"

Showing her vocal range as an R&B artist, singer Kiana Ledé released "Take It All" on July 13, as one of seven songs on her new EP "Selfless." "Take It All" stands out on the mini album. The mostly acoustic track connects on an emotional level of maturity, which makes it today's Song of The Day. The 21-year-old artist has been active since she was a child, after winning a  Kidz Bop's Kidz Star USA talent competition in 2011. New Music: A.CHAL - "Numb The Pain"

Peruvian-American singer A.CHAL (Alejandro Chal Salazar) is working through his emotions in his new single "Numb The Pain". The artist dropped his new song and the official music video for it on October 13.  On social media A.CHAL says the visual was shot in Huanchaco, Trujillo, Peru. He says as a child he remembers living there on the sand in a small hut. The singer says the song itself was recorded in Paris. New Music and Video Drop: Jay Park - "FSU" ft. GASHI & Rich The Kid

On the second single release, from his upcoming Roc Nation debut album, "Ask ‘Bout Me," hip-hop artist Jay Park spits, "I do R&B, but they want me to rap." The track, "FSU," along with the visual for it, dropped on July 6, and features rappers GASHI and Rich The Kid. The single was produced by Groovy Room -- a duo producer team from H1GHR MUSIC (where Park is co-CEO. He's also co-CEO of South Korean label AOMG). The music video for "FSU," directed by Jinooya Makes, has Park in the middle of a desert in the beginning, declaring his place on the U.S. music scene.  The video is below and the album is set to drop on July 20. Has Jay Park come full circle with upcoming AOMG Audition Program "Sign Here" on MBN?

He has shared his story hundreds of times. CEO Jay Park got his start in the music industry after auditioning in Seattle as a teen to join JYP, one of the largest entertainment companies in South Korea. According to online sources, after being accepted, Park trained in South Korea as part of a kpop group known as One Day. Part of the group's training was broadcast as a reality survival documentary show on MNET called Hot Blood . After the show, One Day was split into two separate groups-- 2AM and 2PM. Via fan votes, Park became the leader of 2PM. 2PM debuted with the song "10 Out of 10" in 2008. But by 2010, Park was officially out of the group, and back home in Seattle. Fast forward to today, and Jay Park is signed to Roc Nation and has founded his own entertainment companies; hip-hop labels AOMG and H1GHR MUSIC, and he is now currently launching an AOMG audition program called "Sign Here" on MBN. South Korean rapper Coogie drops new single as contract with AOMG expires

South Korean artist Coogie dropped his new single "1,2,3,4,5" on January 23, 2025--the same day record label AOMG announced its exclusive contract with the rapper had come to an end. Coogie signed with AOMG in 2022.  He was previously signed under hip-hop label ATMseoul. He became known for his sing-song melodic rap style after participating in the South Korean rap competition series Show Me The Money 777 in 2018.  The translation to AOMG's post on X reads... "Hello, this is AOMG. We would like to inform you that Coogie's exclusive contract has ended on January 23, 2025. Crowd goes wild for Jack Harlow at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky

Rapper Jack Harlow wrapped his 6-city  No Place Like Home Tour across his home state of Kentucky on Sunday, December 3, performing to a near sold out crowd at Rupp Arena in Lexington. It was the final stop of his tour and his first time performing at Rupp. Lexington bleeds blue for the University of Kentucky Wildcats, but fans turned out in full force in support of the Louisville native, who makes no secret of his love for the University of Louisville Cardinals. The schools may be rivals, but it was all love for the "First Class" star, except when he proclaimed his love for Louisville, causing the crowd in return to boo.  Harlow though showed his appreciation for the Lexington crowd by bringing out local legends: his music mentors Ky Engineerin’ and Nemo Achida, as well as former UK basketball player Tyler Herro, who now plays for the Miami Heat.
