Concert Watch: AOMG In London This Summer - Gray, Loco, Woo Won Jae and DJ Pumkin


London are you ready?  Artists from the hip-hop label AOMG will be hitting your city this summer. The Cult of Ya is bringing producer Gray, rapper Loco, new artist Woo Won Jae and DJ Pumkin to the Troxy on July 21.

You might recall, the Cult of Ya was responsible for bringing Jay Park, Sik-K, Hoody and DJ Wegun to the Troxy earlier this year, in February. Jay Park along with Simon Dominic are the CEOs of AOMG. (Park is also signed with Roc Nation, and is also the co-CEO of H1GHR MUSIC, along with Cha Cha Malone.)

According to the Cult of Ya, tickets to see Gray, Loco, Woo Won Jae and DJ Pumkin will go on sale on Sunday, March 25, at 12 p.m. UK Time. They have more information about the concert on the website for the Troxy.

Often cited as one of the most renowned producers and vocalists in the Korean hip hop and R&B industry, Gray has produced mega-hits including "We Are", "Drive" and "Mommae" with fellow AOMG artists Jay Park, Loco and Woo Won Jae. He has also produced for DPR Live, Bewhy, Dean, Simon Dominic, Dok2, and Zion T just to name a few. As an incredible vocalist himself, he has dropped numerous hits including "GOOD", "Respect", and the iconic "Just Do It". He starred as a judge on Korean hip hop survival show "Show Me The Money" and is currently starring in "Hyena On The Keyboard" as Korea's hottest singer-songwriter.

As a co-headliner to the show is Loco, another megastar from AOMG, and the winner of Show Me The Money in 2012. Not only did Loco drop major hits in the last few years including "Hold Me Tight" and "Still" with Crush, "You Too" with Cha Cha Malone, "Bleached" was a top 10 album in 2017 Korean charts. His hit "Spring is Gone by Chance" also won the Best OST in 2015.

Young and clearly the next artist to reign in the Korean hip hop throne is Woo Won Jae, who signed to AOMG after his spectacular rise to fame after his appearances in "Show Me The Money". Taking the scene by storm, Woo Won Jae already has a #1 hit in Korean charts with the megahit "We Are" featuring fellow AOMG artists Gray and Loco, an incredible feat by a new artist. Of further note, his new tracks "Zinza" and "Again" are already garnering major industry attention and has dropped the track "Nostalgia", a OST to Korean TV series Prison Playbook.

Avatar Darko Officially Signs With H1GHR MUSIC

Seattle Rapper Avatar Darko, has officially signed with hip-hop label H1GHR MUSIC. The CEOs, Jay Park and Cha Cha Malone, posted the official video on June 5th, to social media of Avatar signing the contract, and receiving his H1GHR MUSIC gold chain.  The new signee is fresh off a U.S. tour with his H1GHR MUSIC labelmates (which wrapped on May 8th in Seattle). R&B singer Chancellor known for his smooth vocals, has returned with a new sexy track. The South Korean artist dropped his new single "Behind You," delivering up some sensual lyrics on April 7. The Doomsday co-produced track, follows the release of Chancellor's viral hit song "AUTOMATIC" in October with Babylon, twlv, Moon Sujin, BIBI and Jiselle. Drake and Jack Harlow shoot music video during The Kentucky Derby for song "Churchill Downs"

On the eve of the 148th running of the Kentucky Derby, Louisville native and rapper, 24-year-old Jack Harlow dropped his new album- "Come Home the Kids Miss You." The project hit streaming sites on May 6th, one day before the May 7th Derby at the Churchill Downs horse-racetrack in Louisville.  Harlow's album includes the Drake-assisted song "Churchill Downs," in which the two rappers share lyrics of introspection before Drake wraps up the more than five minute track with... "Kentucky derby races, my presence in the spot is so abrasive. Box at the Churchill Downs, that's motivation, yeah. And shorty like, "You know that boy Jack is goin' places."    The lyrics in Drake's verse were a prelude to what was to come. British singer Jay Sean has released the official music video for his new single "With You," featuring Gucci Mane and Asian Doll. The Jamar Harding directed visual dropped on April 1st, and in it, there's a lot of booty. The video shows girls in bikinis and balaclavas riding down the road on two-wheel scooters. The actual single hit streaming sites with Republic Records on March 8th, after a long break from the London artist. Check out his new MV below.

Jarv Dee Drops Final Single Under H1GHR MUSIC - "No Regrets" feat. Sik-K & pH-1

Seattle artist Jarv Dee is parting ways with hip-hop label H1GHR MUSIC. The rapper dropped his track "No Regrets" featuring South Korean rappers Sik-K and pH-1 on December 27, as his last single with the label. Jarv Dee and H1GHR MUSIC posted the announcement on social media about the departure, shortly after the release of the new song. The label was founded by Jay Park and Cha Cha Malone in 2017, and Jarv Dee as one of its artists, had been with H1GHR MUSIC since then. Vietnamese Rapper Suboi - Drops MV for Summer Anthem "N-SAO?"

Suboi is now known as Vietnam's queen of hip-hop, after becoming the first successful female Vietnamese rapper in her country. On August 2nd, she released the official music video on the 88rising YouTube channel, for her latest track, "N-SAO?"  On it, the 28-year-old artist spits bars over a club beat. Suboi has been making music since 2007. Her last EP, "2.7," dropped in October of 2017.  In 2016, she freestyled for former U.S. President Barack Obama during his visit to Vietnam. Her new song, in Vietnamese (with English subtitles on the visual), is a summer anthem about empowerment.  Check out the music video down below.

'Panda Express' panda accepts BTS' J-Hope's #IdolChallenge

Fans (ARMY) from all over, have answered the challenge, from eager teens, to families with little kids, and entertainers, including the rest of the members from BTS. But now a panda. Fast food restaurant chain 'Panda Express' with locations across the U.S., tweeted on Twitter video of its panda mascot dancing the challenge on August 30th. BTS liked it, and it's gotten thousands of retweets, more likes and views. BTS' music video "IDOL" dropped on August 24, and beats Taylor Swift's "Look What You Made Me Do," for the biggest YouTube debut with more than 45-million views in its first 24 hours. BamBam from GOT7 delivers a trap hook and flow, with Thai rapper F.HERO (ฟักกลิ้ง ฮีโร่) on the new KILO KEYS produced track - "Do You." The song is off F.HERO's new 32-track album - "INTO THE NEW ERA." The visual for "Do You" dropped on October 16, with a suave BamBam dressed in black. The kpop idol is originally from Bangkok, Thailand. His lyrics on the hip-hop track are in English. Check out the video above. Rapper Dok2 talks about working with Jay Park and G-Dragon (from BIGBANG) in Ep. 31 of "Fun With Dumb"

Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Lucky for fans, the rapper sat down on two separate occasions recently to talk about his life and the rise of hip-hop in South Korea. The first interview was for the March 7th face to face with rapper Snacky Chan for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod."   The second was for American rapper Dumbfoundead's March 20th (ep. 31) podcast of "Fun With Dumb." During the podcast, Dok2 provided a mini-history lesson for anyone interested in South Korean hip-hop. Beginning with his early rise, the rapper says he's been making moves in the industry since 2002 when he was 12-years-old. Don't sleep on H1GHR MUSIC's Jarv Dee. The Seattle native has just released the music video for the track "Smoke 2 Much," and a lot of people will find themselves relating to it. Jarv Dee dropped the visuals on Wednesday, December 6. The video takes you into a messy apartment, where Jarv holds a stack of bills, and raps to a dope beat, about the struggles of surviving.
