Now Listening To: Ted Park - "Straight to the Bed"

Artist Ted Park is overflowing with creativity. Ahead of his next EP drop, Park released a new mid-tempo R&B single titled - "Straight to the Bed," on February 26, complete with an official music video. In the visual, the singer/rapper skips out on time with his lady, to head to the studio for a recording session with his team. The new song was produced by DJ Pain 1. Check it out below.

ØZI Links Up with R&B singers G.Soul & Arin Ray in "LUFU" in new album "PEDESTAL"

Taiwanese-American musician ØZI is back with his sophomore album--"PEDESTAL." The singer dropped his 8-track project on February 24, with a visual for the song "LUFU," featuring R&B artists G.Soul and Arin Ray.  G.Soul, from South Korea and Arin Ray from Cincinnati, Ohio. Riding on smooth melodies, the song showcases the vocal depth of the three singers. Check out the official music video for "LUFU," and the full album project below.

Now Listening To: Styliztik Jones & Dok2's New Song - "Chandeliers"

Ahead of the March 5th release of his album "EVERYBODY EAT” with producer Dirty Diggs, California rapper Styliztik Jones dropped a new single --"Chandeliers," featuring South Korean rapper Dok2.  The new music hit streaming sites on February 16. A visual for the song hit social media in January. Dok2 had been out of the public eye, since last February, after leaving the label he co-founded-- 1LLIONAIRE RECORDS. After a nearly decade run, the record company shutdown officially in November of 2020.  In the collaboration with Jones, Dok2 raps... "My wave is coming/ The 808 drumming/ My pain away numbing /Just meditate f*** it/ Don't hesitate running / Evaporate the past, nobody's perfect/ Let's redecorate the last." New Music from Indonesia: Isaroundyou - "Ain't Got No Time"

Musician Isaroundyou, a.k.a Faiz Alfaresi, is back with his second solo single "Ain't Got No Time," after a year hiatus. The independent artist based in Jakarta, Indonesia, released his new music on digital platforms on February 19.  Isaroundyou began his career as the vocalist of one of Indonesia’s leading post-hardcore bands, Rekah. In mid-2019, he decided to travel down a different path... “As a kid, I have always gravitated towards hip-hop. Be it the music, the art, the culture. And through the years, I’ve come to realize that I’d like to push my limits as an artist/musician by exploring my sounds in this genre,” said Isaroundyou.  According to the artist, his first single, "Walter White" was released last January under his previous moniker, 'Around'. Crooning with soulful vocals, singer Pink Sweat$ released his full-length debut album "PINK PLANET" on February 12. The 18-track project includes rhythmic melodies of love. The album follows his 2020 "The Prelude" EP, and his 2018 hit breakthrough single "Honesty." The new music features R&B singer Kehlani on the track "At My Worst." Check it out below.

YUGYEOM Shows Off his Dance Moves after Signing to Jay Park's label AOMG

It's official, GOT7's Kim Yugyeom is the latest artist to sign to Jay Park's first label AOMG. The announcement was made at midnight, KST, on February 19. As the newest member of the hip-hop and R&B label, YUGYEOM joins veteran singers, rappers and producers such as Loco, Gray, Simon Dominic, Hoody and Code Kunst, as well as newer artists Woo Won-jae, Sogumm, Punchnello, DeVita and Lee Hi. Jay Park founded AOMG in 2013. YUGYEOM's move to AOMG follows his departure from JYP Entertainment. He and his fellow GOT7 boy band members, who debuted in 2014, left JYP in January, after their contract with the entertainment company expired. YUGYEOM is now the second artist to leave JYP to work under Jay Park. Singer G.Soul left the company in 2017 to sign with Park's second label H1GHR MUSIC. New Music: Michaël Brun - "Melanin"

Showcasing sounds from the African Diaspora, producer Michaël Brun is back with his latest project-- "Melanin." The Haitian native dropped his new EP on February 10. It includes the breathy single "Baby Who," featuring Shay Lia, which was previously released in January, and last year's single-- "Love Me, Suffa," featuring Shirazee, which dropped in October. Overall, the 5-track mini-album includes fusions of R&B, pop and Afrobeat, as well as Haitian traditional folk music and more, with featuring artists from Benin, Montreal, Haiti and Brazil. From Freaky to Sweet, R&B Singer Babylon Delivers in New Album - "Hardy"

South Korean singer Babylon does not hold back, in his new album--"Hardy." His 13-song project hit streaming sites on February 4 with sensual R&B beats. And with track titles like "Chandelier," "Cigarettes After Sex," "White Suit" and "Red Lipstick," -- Babylon is explicit with his desires.  But as freaky as the singer gets with some of his lyrics, he's also singing sweet love songs like "Baby Be Mine," featuring KYLE LO, and his song "Alone," featuring Lee Hyori, will send chills up your spine and could move you to tears.  The album has features on most of the tracks-- including an assist from Jay Park on "Like Song," as well as with more than a dozen other artists on the 18-minute "Going In." Overall Babylon delivers on "Hardy," and with the album release, he's also dropped a few visuals. Check out the official music videos below.

Golden Changes Name Back to G.Soul After Contract Ends With H1GHR MUSIC

Days after record label H1GHR MUSIC announced its contract with singer Golden had come to an end, the artist on Sunday, January 10, tweeted on Twitter he was changing his stage name back to G.Soul.   The singer Kim Ji-hyun, had been going by the moniker Golden since December 2019 . But fans first got to know the South Korean soulful artist as G.Soul, when he debuted under JYP Entertainment with the release of his EP "Coming Home" in 2015. His debut came after training under JYP for 15 years. In 2017, G.Soul left JYP and joined H1GHR MUSIC, where he released "Circles," "Hate Everything" and "Another Sad Love Song." New Music: South Korean R&B singer MELOH returns with Self-titled EP

Fans have been watching for South Korean singer MELOH ever since he hit the stage for AOMG's Signhere  audition TV show program in 2019 on MBN. While he didn't finish first, he did make it to the finals with his smooth vocals.  Fast forward to 2021, and MELOH is back with his first EP, titled "MELOH," and signed to the new hip-hop label-- Daytona Entertainment, founded by The Quiett and Yumdda. MELOH's new self-titled R&B mini-album hit streaming sites on January 2. YUMDDA's "Breathe 3," The First Project for New South Korean Hip-Hop Label Daytona Entertainment with The Quiett

Just days after announcing the formation of Daytona Entertainment with The Quiett, rapper Yumdda dropped the first project under the new label titled "Breathe 3." The album is part three of his "Breathe" album series, which began with part one in 2016 and part two in 2019. The new music vibes with the melodic flow that the South Korean artist is known for. It hit streaming sites on November 28, with a visual for the track "Hanadoo" featuring R&B singer Zion.T.  Yumdda and The Quiett introduced their Daytona Entertainment label two weeks after The Quiett dropped the final music for the now defunct (but still legendary) 1llionaire Records, the label he co-founded with Dok2 in 2011. The Quiett's double single project, "BENTLEY 2," featuring Yumdda, hit streaming sites on November 11. The announcement of their new label rolled out on November 25. South Korean rapper Rohann dropped his latest music "LOVE, LIFE, OYE" on November 15, under Vismajor Company. The VMC artist spits hard and precise, on his new release which includes two tracks produced by Buggy -"OYE" featuring Don Mills and "LOVE, LIFE." The double single follows the release of his album "NEVERLAND," which dropped in May. Check out the new music below.

South Korean rapper The Quiett rides out in a Bentley in final 1LLIONAIRE RECORDS release - "BENTLEY 2"

With his laid-back 90s rap flow and braggadocious lyrics, rapper The Quiett is one of the smoothest artists in hip-hop. He is also the co-founder, with rapper Dok2, of one of the most influential record companies in South Korea. Both are part of a group of legends responsible for putting South Korean hip-hop on the map. Their label - 1LLIONAIRE RECORDS, was established in January 2011. They added rapper Beenzino later that year. In 2016, the two established a second label, of younger up-and-coming artists called Ambition Musik. The co-CEOs also toured the United States in 2016, and in 2017, putting on great high energy performances. INLet'sGo! caught their 2016 stop in Atlanta.  On November 11, 2020, The Quiett dropped his last double single under 1LLIONAIRE RECORDS, marking the last 1LLIONAIRE DAY (of new music drops), and the final project for the company. Dok2 parted ways with the label in February, and in July, the company announced it was shutting down....

Days after hitting the stage with his Hi-Lite Records labelmates for a "Legacy" livestream concert , former CEO rapper, and founder of the company, Paloalto, dropped a new single on November 8, with a visual directed by SUSHIVISUAL, titled "ENERGY."  The artist wants 'positive energy.' Argentine Trap Rappers ECKO & Cazzu Drop New Collab - "Cama Vacia"

Hip-Hop Fans Fall for MINO Again After New Album Drop - "TAKE"

South Korean rapper MINO first got on the radar for many hip-hop fans during the fourth season of rap competition series  Show Me The Money in 2015, when he proved himself as being more than just an idol artist. Song Min-ho is the main rapper for the k-pop group WINNER, and he earned respect in the rap game, after securing a place with Team ZiPal under rappers Zico and Paloalto, along with Ja Mezz, AndUp and One on SMTM4 .
