Now Listening To: Styliztik Jones & Dok2's New Song - "Chandeliers"


Ahead of the March 5th release of his album "EVERYBODY EAT” with producer Dirty Diggs, California rapper Styliztik Jones dropped a new single --"Chandeliers," featuring South Korean rapper Dok2. 

The new music hit streaming sites on February 16. A visual for the song hit social media in January. Dok2 had been out of the public eye, since last February, after leaving the label he co-founded-- 1LLIONAIRE RECORDS. After a nearly decade run, the record company shutdown officially in November of 2020. 

In the collaboration with Jones, Dok2 raps... "My wave is coming/ The 808 drumming/ My pain away numbing /Just meditate f*** it/ Don't hesitate running / Evaporate the past, nobody's perfect/ Let's redecorate the last." Check out the full song below.

Now Listening To: JMIN - "I Know Why"

Up and coming California-based rapper JMIN released his melodic track and visual titled "I Know Why" at the end of June. While the artist is still in the early stages of his music career, he is already receiving international attention after the release of the video for his song “Spaceship” on the 'No Jumper' YouTube channel last September. According to his online profile on GENIUS , JMIN (aka Jonathan Min), is 18-years-old, and moved to Los Angeles from Florida, in the 9th grade. Check out his music and video below.

Sam Kim Has Got "The Juice" In New Single Release

Singer Sam Kim is back with a new funky single with a jazzy vibe. The Korean-American artist dropped his track "The Juice" on June 23, with an official music video, featuring the singer going crazy over love. In the visual there's even a little choreographed dance. Check it out below. 

Rapper Shotta Spence Shares his Mother's Story

Shotta Spence, the 21-year-old up and coming rapper from New Jersey, shared part of his mother's journey from Vietnam, on Instagram, on Monday, September 4, as he wished her a Happy Birthday, and thanked her for supporting him as an artist. In his post, Shotta Spence (Spencer Lee) wrote that when his mother was a little girl in Vietnam,  "the communist North had taken everything from her family. During the war, her parents and siblings had to escape further south in a TANK. The South Vietnamese and the Americans were losing the war, and she got separated from her family in the chaos. U.S. soldiers evacuated her via "Operation Babylift" ... on the LAST flight out." New H1GHR MUSIC rapper JMIN Gives Shout-Out to the late Big Pun After The Release of his Debut EP "Homecoming"

New H1GHR MUSIC artist JMIN is celebrating the next chapter of his music career with the rollout of his debut EP "Homecoming." The Korean-American rapper dropped the mini-album on streaming sites on August 13 with a visual for his track "Dedication," featuring H1GHR MUSIC CEO Jay Park. On the day of the release, JMIN on Instagram gave a shout-out to the late rapper Big Pun, "for the inspiration for the track." Big Pun died February 7, 2000. He was known for his hit "Still Not a Player," featuring Joe, and other songs. JMIN, still an up-and-coming Los Angeles rapper, is known for his song "Spaceship," after the visual for it hit the No Jumper YouTube channel in 2018. Rappers Junoflo and G2 team up once again in new single "OUTLAWZ." The two dropped their hard hitting track on July 9, with lyrics like "I'll take a loss as a learned lesson. I'll be a boss till I turn to ashes." The drop comes ahead of their joint album release, possibly later this month. YUGYEOM Grooves with Jay Park and Punchnello in Official Live Clip for "Love The Way"

Harmonizing with smooth R&B vocals, new AOMG artist YUGYEOM has released the latest visual off his first solo EP. The GOT7 singer dropped the official live clip for "Love The Way," featuring AOMG CEO Jay Park and rapper Punchnello on June 23. The Cha Cha Malone produced track is off YUGYEOM's "Point Of View: U" EP, which hit streaming sites on June 17. The singer and Park previously teased "Love The Way" on Instagram in February with a few dance moves, after officially announcing that YUGYEOM had signed to the label.   YUGYEOM has also released visuals promoting other songs from the new EP, including the official videos for "All Your Fault," featuring GRAY and "I Want U Around," featuring DeVita. He's also been hitting the stage for various music shows and live performances since the rollout of the project. 

Jay Park Celebrates National Liberation Day of Korea with new video for "DNA Remix"

After facing backlash for the original "DNA Remix" video, H1GHR MUSIC CEO Jay Park has uploaded a new video for the collaboration project. The new video, showing the culture, traditions and landmarks of South Korea through the eyes of a young boy, hit YouTube on August 15 to coincide with National Liberation Day of Korea.  The holiday, according to Wikipedia, is celebrated every year on August 15, in both South and North Korea, in commemoration of the victory over Japan, "when at the end of World War II, the U.S. and allied forces helped end 35 years of Japanese occupation and colonial rule of Korea, which lasted from 1910–1945." On social media, H1GHR MUSIC says the day "represents South Korea and its peoples’ perseverance, pride and courage." K-hip-hop artists on the "DNA Remix" collaboration song project include: Jay Park, pH-1, YLN Foreign, D.Ark, 365LIT, lIlBOI, Lee Young Ji, Ourealgoat, Choo and OSUN. YUGYEOM Topping The Charts with "I Want U Around" feat. DeVita

Ahead of the release of his first solo EP under AOMG-- "Point Of View: U" on June 17, GOT7 singer YUGYEOM dropped a single from it-- "I Want U Around," featuring DeVita, with an official music video on June 11. The song was produced by longtime AOMG hit maker GRAY. YUGYEOM signed to the hip-hop label (founded by Jay Park) earlier this year, after leaving JYP Entertainment with his band members in January. On June 11, his song "I Want U Around" entered the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart at number one. It also hit the real-time Genie Music chart, ranked at number one before the chart freezing time for the South Korean music site.  Meanwhile, the music video on YouTube, now has more than a million views, after surpassing 250,000 views within one hour of release and 900,000 views in 19 hours. New Music: Tobi Lou - "WIDE Open"

Rapper Tobi Lou is "WIDE Open." The Nigeria-born-Chicago artist dropped his latest single on September 3, with an official visualizer for the track. The video shows highlights from his performance at Lollapalooza 2021. The four-day music festival kicked off in late July in Chicago. Tobi Lou's new song "WIDE Open" is off his upcoming album-- "Non-Parrishable," due out in September of 2022. 

Song of the Week: DOK2 - "CULTURE"

On April 25, legendary rapper DOK2 returned with a visual for his new song "CULTURE." The music video directed by Erik White, dropped under Last King Group, with a link to the rapper's new merch line and a billboard in Los Angeles. The single follows the drop of the  collab track "Chandeliers," with Styliztik Jones back in February.  On his new song, the co-founder of the now defunct South Korean label Illionaire Records, raps "nobody handed me a silver spoon."
