In a surprise move, music mogul Jay Park has announced he's stepping down from his position as CEO, from both of the labels he founded---AOMG and H1GHR MUSIC. The 34-year-old South Korea-based artist from Seattle announced the decision on social media on December 31 (KST). Saying in part: "I know this may be shocking to a lot of people, but I will remain as an advisor for both labels and we will continue to be a family and a crew."
Park founded AOMG in 2013, and H1GHR MUSIC with producer Cha Cha Malone in 2017. The news follows a tweet from Park the day before which said... "If I ever retire or disappear make sure to miss me."
UPDATED: As Jay Park steps down from his position as CEO, he's still releasing new music. According to AOMG, Park will drop a new single - "To Life," on January 1, 2022.
