Now Listening To: Filipino Hip-Hop and R&B - PARADISE RISING's EP "Semilucent 2"

Back for a second round of new sounds, 88rising's label PARADISE RISING has dropped a new EP featuring Filipino hip-hop and R&B artists. The 5-track "Semilucent 2" project hit streaming sites on October 4 with several visuals on YouTube. The mini-album includes music from Canadian duo MANILA GREY, as well as singers Steven Peregrina, Daze and Yuna (from Malaysia), rapper Curtismith, CA Christian Alexander and producer Manila Killa. The new music follows the first "Semilucent" EP, which rolled out in July 2020. Check out the new project below.

Rapper Jessi and Jay Park "Drip" with Swag in New Music & MV

Rapper Jessi is back with another single under P NATION (the South Korean record label founded by Psy). This time around, Jessi has global star Jay Park on the track and visual. Jessi released their collaboration - "Drip" on November 1st, and straight out the gate, she comes out swinging with swag, and singing, that she's not "going anywhere." Park joins her midway in-- getting his brag on-- with a smooth flow about his "legacy." Check out the new music and video below.

NEW MUSIC & MV: INNA x Vinka - "Bebe"

An eccentric collaboration between Romanian singer INNA, and Vinka from Uganda. The two released their colorful official music video with moves from a subway train, for their song "Bebe" on November 4th. Inna is known for her 2008 breakout hit "Hot." Vinka, an artist under record label - Swangz Avenue, has been moving up in the music scene in Africa and making moves in Europe. Check out their new collaboration "Bebe" below.

B Young drops hot visual for new song "OCEAN" ft. BNXN

London artist B Young has returned with a hot new single. The rapper/singer dropped his new song "OCEAN" featuring Nigerian singer BNXN, with an official music video on June 30.  The visual includes beautiful scenes on a beach with a beautiful model. The song produced by AymixBeats is B Young's first release since his 2021 debut album "Differences."

Rapper Dok2 talks about working with Jay Park and G-Dragon (from BIGBANG) in Ep. 31 of "Fun With Dumb"

Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Lucky for fans, the rapper sat down on two separate occasions recently to talk about his life and the rise of hip-hop in South Korea. The first interview was for the March 7th face to face with rapper Snacky Chan for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod."   The second was for American rapper Dumbfoundead's March 20th (ep. 31) podcast of "Fun With Dumb." During the podcast, Dok2 provided a mini-history lesson for anyone interested in South Korean hip-hop. Beginning with his early rise, the rapper says he's been making moves in the industry since 2002 when he was 12-years-old. He told Dumbfoundead that he used to attend a school for foreigners in Busan (because of his mixed Korean, Spanish and Filipino heritage), but after 6th grade he moved to Seoul and did not return back to school (due to family financial reasons). Just Jerk Crew Performs During Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony

We're only two months in, and 2018 has already been a good year for Just Jerk Crew. They are the featured backup dancers in the official music video for Jay Park and Yultron's "Forget About Tomorrow," and they just recently announced the opening of their new dance academy in South Korea. The popular urban dance team from Seoul, has been making moves together since 2010, and has even competed on America's Got Talent, season 12. Now, the group is getting even more international recognition, after performing live during the Opening Ceremony for the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang. The group has shared a clip of the performance on Instagram, and some of the members have even shared behind the scenes group photos. Jay Park Performs English Version of "Yacht" For "24 Hours of Reality"

Jay Park has premiered the full English version of his song "Yacht." The singer performed it for the first time on Dec. 5, on former U.S. Vice President Al Gore's "24 Hours of Reality." The program streams live every year scientists, business leaders and celebrities talking about "the climate crisis." This is the second year, for Jay Park to lend his voice and talent to the program. Park also introduced one of the singers from his label, H1GHR MUSIC, Phe Reds, who performed his sweet song "Smile." Perhaps one of the best known hip-hop and R&B crews in South Korea, members of FANXY CHILD have teamed up once again to drop a new single and visual titled "Y." The track hit streaming sites on August 9th featuring ZICO, CRUSH, DEAN, PENOMECO and producers MILLIC and STAYTUNED. Previously we've seen them collaborate on such hits and music videos like Millic's "Paradise" and Zico's "Fanxy Child" and "Bermuda Triangle." New Video Drop: Rich Brian raps to an ex-girlfriend about their "History" in his latest visual

88rising artist Brian Imanuel (a.k.a. Rich Brian) has just dropped the official music video for his track "History." In the visual released on October 10, he raps to an ex-girlfriend at a party about what could've been for them, as he tries to get her back. The Indonesian (born) rapper, co-directed his new music video with James Defina. The self-produced track originally hit streaming sites as part of the 88rising collective album "Head in the Clouds," back in July. Check out the video below. Rich Brian can also be seen on the First We Feast series "Feast Mansion" with labelmate Joji, and is currently on a North America tour with 88rising. Song of The Day: Khea - "Loca" (Remix) featuring Bad Bunny, Duki & Cazzu

The Spanish lyrics are explicit when translated into English, but this Latin Trap remix is so alluring, that you just can't help but to groove to it. Hip-hop artist Khea, from Argentina, dropped his "Loca" remix video featuring Bad Bunny, Duki and Cazzu back in April, and it currently has more than 173-million views on YouTube. The track, with its repetitive beat is about a "crazy" woman on social media, but towards the end of it, we hear the seductive female response from Argentine rapper Cazzu. ISLAND VIBES: Grooving to Ir Sais' new "Dream Girl" Remix & MV featuring Rauw Alejandro

The original track was already intoxicating. Now singer Ir Sais is back with a "Dream Girl" Remix featuring Puerto Rican singer/rapper Rauw Alejandro, who is known for his dancing, as well as his vocals. Ir Sais hails from Bonaire and the Dominican Republic. His new remix for "Dream Girl" dropped on December 6th. It includes a virtual reality visual, of the two artists making colorful moves with beautiful women. The music video, according to Sais on social media, was shot in Curaçao. Check it out below.
