H1GHR MUSIC's New Artist GOT7's JAY B To Drop New Single "Switch It Up" Soon

South Korean based hip-hop and R&B label H1GHR MUSIC publicly welcomed GOT7's leader JAY B to the family on May 11, less than a week after dropping a teaser visual with reaction from H1GHR MUSIC members about a new artist on the way.

With the official announcement, the label also revealed JAY B will be dropping a new single on May 14. Label co-founder Jay Park, giving fans a possible preview on his Instagram, after sharing a video of the two singing his song "All I Wanna Do" for a few seconds before transitioning for a few seconds to possibly the new single titled "Switch It Up."

During an Instagram Live with Park and band member Yugyeom, JAY B promoted his new song, which was produced by H1GHR MUSIC co-founder Cha Cha Malone. As we have reported previously, Yugyeom signed to Park's first label AOMG in February after GOT7 left JYP Entertainment.

NEW NAME FOR BTS MEMBER (formerly Rap Monster)

The leader of the super popular kpop group BTS, from South Korea, has officially changed his name. Kim Nam-joon previously known as Rap Monster, has changed his stage name to RM. The announcement was published on the BTS official fan cafe on November 13.  RM wrote on it, that although he's been called Rap Monster for the past five years, he felt the need to change it, because that title was   getting more and more distant from the music done for the past 5 years.                                                                    -RM (via allkpop)    Back on September 19, 2017, Rap Monster announced on his Beats1Noisey Interview that he would be changing his name to RM. Jay Park Performs English Version of "Yacht" For "24 Hours of Reality"

Jay Park has premiered the full English version of his song "Yacht." The singer performed it for the first time on Dec. 5, on former U.S. Vice President Al Gore's "24 Hours of Reality." The program streams live every year scientists, business leaders and celebrities talking about "the climate crisis." This is the second year, for Jay Park to lend his voice and talent to the program. Fans still have questions about ECÂF after the release of Ruel's new single & MV - "Face To Face"

(Updated September 10) - Ruel has dropped the Behind The Scenes video for "Face To Face." On Sept. 10, he revealed that the actress portraying ECÂF in the music video and on Twitter, is named Tatiana. Concert Watch: Ozuna - AURA USA Tour 2018

Puerto Rican reggaeton singer Ozuna, is hitting the road this fall for an AURA USA Tour. The announcement comes after the release of Ozuna's new track and music video with Manuel Turizo, "Vaina Loca," which dropped on YouTube on June 28, and currently has more than 30-million views.  "Vaina Loca" is a single from Ozuna's upcoming album Aura , set to be released on August 24. The tour, starts in September in Atlanta, and hits at least 30 cities, including Lexington, KY in December. Tickets go on sale July 6, with Ticketmaster .

Rapper Dok2 talks about working with Jay Park and G-Dragon (from BIGBANG) in Ep. 31 of "Fun With Dumb"

Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Lucky for fans, the rapper sat down on two separate occasions recently to talk about his life and the rise of hip-hop in South Korea. The first interview was for the March 7th face to face with rapper Snacky Chan for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod."   The second was for American rapper Dumbfoundead's March 20th (ep. 31) podcast of "Fun With Dumb." During the podcast, Dok2 provided a mini-history lesson for anyone interested in South Korean hip-hop. Beginning with his early rise, the rapper says he's been making moves in the industry since 2002 when he was 12-years-old. He told Dumbfoundead that he used to attend a school for foreigners in Busan (because of his mixed Korean, Spanish and Filipino heritage), but after 6th grade he moved to Seoul and did not return back to school (due to family financial reasons). Showing her vocal range as an R&B artist, singer Kiana Ledé released "Take It All" on July 13, as one of seven songs on her new EP "Selfless." "Take It All" stands out on the mini album. The mostly acoustic track connects on an emotional level of maturity, which makes it today's Song of The Day. The 21-year-old artist has been active since she was a child, after winning a  Kidz Bop's Kidz Star USA talent competition in 2011. Crowd goes wild for Jack Harlow at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky

Rapper Jack Harlow wrapped his 6-city  No Place Like Home Tour across his home state of Kentucky on Sunday, December 3, performing to a near sold out crowd at Rupp Arena in Lexington. It was the final stop of his tour and his first time performing at Rupp. Lexington bleeds blue for the University of Kentucky Wildcats, but fans turned out in full force in support of the Louisville native, who makes no secret of his love for the University of Louisville Cardinals. The schools may be rivals, but it was all love for the "First Class" star, except when he proclaimed his love for Louisville, causing the crowd in return to boo.  Harlow though showed his appreciation for the Lexington crowd by bringing out local legends: his music mentors Ky Engineerin’ and Nemo Achida, as well as former UK basketball player Tyler Herro, who now plays for the Miami Heat. New Music: A.CHAL - "Numb The Pain"

Peruvian-American singer A.CHAL (Alejandro Chal Salazar) is working through his emotions in his new single "Numb The Pain". The artist dropped his new song and the official music video for it on October 13.  On social media A.CHAL says the visual was shot in Huanchaco, Trujillo, Peru. He says as a child he remembers living there on the sand in a small hut. The singer says the song itself was recorded in Paris.
