Jay Park to Kick off First World Tour in Seoul


Hip-Hop/R&B Roc Nation artist Jay Park has announced the beginning of his first world tour. The AOMG/H1GHR MUSIC CEO's "SEXY 4EVA" World Tour kicks off in Seoul, South Korea on Saturday, July 6th at 7 p.m. and on Sunday, July 7th at 6 p.m.

The title of the tour is from a track off his 2018 "Ask Bout Me" U.S. debut EP for Roc Nation. Park released the music video for the song, "Sexy 4 Eva" back on September 25th.

According to AOMG, the concerts in Seoul will be held at Olympic Hall, in Olympic Park. Tickets go on sale May 17th, at 8 p.m. (KST) on the INTERPARK website. According to Park's tweet on Twitter, more dates and cities will be announced later.

Rapper Dok2 talks about working with Jay Park and G-Dragon (from BIGBANG) in Ep. 31 of "Fun With Dumb"

Illionaire Records co-founder Dok2 is a pioneer in the South Korean hip-hop industry, but he rarely gives interviews. Lucky for fans, the rapper sat down on two separate occasions recently to talk about his life and the rise of hip-hop in South Korea. The first interview was for the March 7th face to face with rapper Snacky Chan for Chan's YouTube series - "Undergod."   The second was for American rapper Dumbfoundead's March 20th (ep. 31) podcast of "Fun With Dumb." During the podcast, Dok2 provided a mini-history lesson for anyone interested in South Korean hip-hop. Beginning with his early rise, the rapper says he's been making moves in the industry since 2002 when he was 12-years-old. He told Dumbfoundead that he used to attend a school for foreigners in Busan (because of his mixed Korean, Spanish and Filipino heritage), but after 6th grade he moved to Seoul and did not return back to school (due to family financial reasons). Rapper GUN is trapped inside an "AQUARIUM" in new single and MV release

NEW NAME FOR BTS MEMBER (formerly Rap Monster)

The leader of the super popular kpop group BTS, from South Korea, has officially changed his name. Kim Nam-joon previously known as Rap Monster, has changed his stage name to RM. The announcement was published on the BTS official fan cafe on November 13.  RM wrote on it, that although he's been called Rap Monster for the past five years, he felt the need to change it, because that title was   getting more and more distant from the music done for the past 5 years.                                                                    -RM (via allkpop)    Back on September 19, 2017, Rap Monster announced on his Beats1Noisey Interview that he would be changing his name to RM. Dance Moves of The Day: Insun Lee From PREPIX STUDIO

When you got it, you got it, and dance instructor Insun Lee, has it.    Lee is an instructor with Prepix Studio in South Korea. Prepix has worked on a number of dance projects and videos with entertainer Jay Park.  On its Instagram page, on Sunday, January 14, Prepix posted one of the most recent choreography videos from Lee, promoting his classes there, which take place on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. I n the video,  Lee delivers a smooth routine to   Shawn Mendes' "There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back" , and in the end he even gives us a bboy spin. Rapper Shotta Spence Shares his Mother's Story

Shotta Spence, the 21-year-old up and coming rapper from New Jersey, shared part of his mother's journey from Vietnam, on Instagram, on Monday, September 4, as he wished her a Happy Birthday, and thanked her for supporting him as an artist. In his post, Shotta Spence (Spence Lee) wrote that when his mother was a little girl in Vietnam,  "the communist North had taken everything from her family. During the war, her parents and siblings had to escape further south in a TANK. The South Vietnamese and the Americans were losing the war, and she got separated from her family in the chaos.
